Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — 108K General Director and Thick Debtor

After hanging up the phone, I asked my mother to find my middle school yearbook photo. In the photo, right behind me is Qi Man wearing the same uniform. When taking graduation photos at Hai Thanh Middle School, they always line up in a semi-circle with the entire 9th grade class, taking a huge panoramic photo. He was half a head taller than the people around him, standing out from the crowd. I remember very clearly at that time a girl was standing there, I was still talking to her. But no matter what, Qi Man should not stand in that position. … For more than a week, I didn't see Te Man at the company. The text message I sent that night was never replied to, the feeling of disappointment suddenly came over me and I couldn't stand it. Now I discovered that if Qi Man doesn't want to see me, I really have no way of seeing him in the company. I lay down on the table, just in time to meet Tieu Ngu's eyes at the next table.
“Diem Diem, what's wrong with you?”
“Tieu Ngu, do you know where General Manager Te has been lately?”
She shook her head, walked over and patted my shoulder, quietly comforting me. Only Ngo An Na shook her butt and walked over: "General Qi went on a business trip to the US with manager Hoa, didn't he tell you? Manager Hoa is both beautiful and talented, Mr. Te is probably afraid you'll think nonsense..."
“It's so noisy.”
Ngo An Na was afraid that I would get angry again, so she silently turned around and left. What she said was only half trustworthy, but the first half was probably true. It's not because I made him angry that he went abroad, right? Probably not, I don't have that much influence. But it's not like I'm always going on a business trip, so I don't bother paying attention. So frustrated, I changed my position again, leaning on my other cheek and lying down again.
“Diem Diem, go to the meeting room for a moment.” Ms. Vuong poked her head out from the meeting room next door and waved me over.
“Yes.”
I unplugged the charger, took the half-charged phone and walked into the small room.
“Diem Diem, have you thought carefully, do you really want to quit your job?”
“Yes.”
“Te Group is very good, and Diem Diem is one of the smartest employees I have ever led, I am sure your future is still very open.”
“Thank you, Ms. Vuong, for your teaching and trust, but I have thought carefully.”
"Then I won't keep it anymore. I'll probably finish the procedure tomorrow, so tonight I'll take the opportunity to arrange the handover."
“Yes.”
Rarely do I have to work overtime, but this time it was to write handover documents.
“Little girl, aren't you home yet?”
“Wait for me, I'll turn off the phone and go with you.”
The whole floor was the only place where I had a light on, which was quite scary. Luckily the security guard came up here, otherwise I would have stayed there until morning. I gathered all the snacks in my bag and gave them to him: "Uncle, I'm off tomorrow, let me give you these." He was not polite, accepted it, and was a little surprised: "Tomorrow is off and now you're working overtime." I waved my hand: "Sigh, there's no other way, wouldn't it be to work for the boss?"
“Be careful on the road.”
“Yes, please go inside.”
The security guard shined his flashlight, walked me to the car, and waited for the driver to start it before returning. Actually, I don't have the heart to leave Qi Group, but I have no choice. After all, my sister just wanted to make bread, so the burden of the company fell on my shoulders.

On the last day of work, I rarely arrived late. Actually, it's partly intentional. After all, I've been working for so long and I've never been late. At this point, the whole team knew I was about to quit. But When it reached my ears, the rumor turned into: Qi Man is tired of playing with me, there is a new person, so he kicked me out of the company. 「??!」 Before I could swallow the roll in my mouth, I was hastily grabbed by Qi Man's hand and dragged me away.
“Qi Man, wait, I haven't put my bag down yet!”
“Can't wait.”
He didn't give me time to react and pulled me straight into his private elevator. Qi Man suddenly let go and stared at me: "Aren't you going to explain?"
“Ah, anyway, I'm resting now, so eating a piece of rice paper should be okay, right?”
“Why quit?”
I thought for a bit, but didn't say the real reason: "Because you didn't reply to my messages and didn't care about me, I'm angry." His eyes suddenly became strange, he grabbed my hand and pulled me back to the office.
“President Qi, aren't you flying tonight?”
“What if I don't come and my wife runs away?”
Te Man didn't stop walking, held my hand and went straight into the office. With a click, the door closed. He looked a bit tired: "Are you going to leave Hai Thanh?" I didn't answer, he sighed, clasped his hands around my waist, bowed his head and hugged me tightly. His warm breath blew behind his ear, his hoarse voice rang in his ear: "Tran Diem, I'm very easy to coax. You just need to give me a little sweetness, I'll try a little more."
“What are you trying to do?”
“Trying to like you.”
I pushed him, Te Man stopped. But I still let go of the arms that were hugging me, and I saw rare confusion in my eyes. I quickly stuffed the roll into my bag and threw it aside. I threw myself into his arms, burying my face in his large jacket.
“Qi Man, let's try it once, seriously.”
He couldn't believe it, the hand on my back was shaking slightly.
“It seems… no, I really like you.”
Te Man's fingers slid up my cheek, stopping under my chin. He stroked gently, his eyes falling straight to my lips. When he leaned closer, I suddenly pushed him away. Unprepared, Te Man fell to the ground.
"Sorry, my mouth is full of oil now, I really can't stand it."
He looked at me with resentful eyes, while I used a tissue to wipe my mouth and then sprayed a few more peach-flavored mouth sprays.
“Okay, come.”
When Qi Man bent down again, I shouted again:
“Wait a minute! I have fruit candy in my pocket. Well, the first kiss was a bit nervous.”
“Not the first time.”
I peeled off the candy, stuffed the hard candy into my mouth, looked up at him: "What?"
“Nothing.”
“Wait!”
“What again?”
“My hair seems to be tangled.”
“No more waiting.”
He kissed a little too quickly, rolled up the pineapple candy and pushed it back. In just a moment, both of their mouths were filled with the sweet scent of pineapple. When I was kissed to the point that my mind was foggy, he suddenly said: "Don't quit your job anymore, I'll give you a raise."
"No, I have to go home and take over and become a rich woman."
“Then you raise me.”
“That's fine.”
