I bowed my head. For a moment I didn't know what to say. Tran Trac Vien took out a set of documents from the briefcase next to him. Place it in front of me. I looked down. On the cover of the file is a line of text. Restructuring plan for Kien Quoc Plastic Company. My heart trembled slightly. He pushed the file towards me. The voice was still calm as if discussing a normal business deal. But each word was like a stone thrown into the calm lake in my heart.

"If you really want to know the answer."

"Then don't stand outside and watch anymore."

He stopped for a moment. Then place your finger on the file.

"Buy the factory."

I looked at the file in front of me for a long time. There are decisions in this world that, if you only look at them rationally, are easy to answer. But once it involves the past, family, and old wounds, things immediately get complicated. I didn't answer Tran Trac Vien right away. He also did not push. Just quietly drank the entire cup of tea in front of me. Finally, I picked up the file.

"Teacher, give me three days."

"But Tri Y, remember carefully."

"If you buy the factory, it has to be a deal."

"Not pity."

I nodded. Three days later, I let Tran Loi conduct an appraisal of all assets, liabilities, valid contracts, production equipment and brand value of Kien Quoc Plastic Company. The results were worse than I thought. After losing Thinh Hang, the actual value of the factory decreased sharply. Old equipment. Cash flow is tight. Loan due. Part of the workers have left. If there is no timely reception, within a month the factory will be at risk of completely shutting down. I looked at the final valuation. But not so low as to take advantage of other people's difficulties. I asked Tran Loi to send a shareholder meeting invitation to Kien Quoc Plastic Company. The time is Monday morning. Location in the factory's large meeting room. The person signing the invitation letter is not me. It's the legal representative of the investment company under me. Until the meeting, the Lam family still did not know who the final buyer was. Monday morning. I went back to the factory. This time, not as the Lam family's daughter. It's an investor. The car stopped in front of the gate. The old iron gate is still there. It's just that the sign "Kien Quoc Plastic Company" is a bit faded. I got out of the car. The new guard at the gate didn't recognize me. He checked the invitation and quickly opened the gate. When I entered the office area, many old memories came back. The cement yard where I used to sit and do my homework. The flower bed where Mr. Truong once planted a few small chrysanthemums. The old stairs leading up to my father's office. Everything is still familiar. But I am no longer the little girl who has to stand outside the door waiting for adults to remember me. Large meeting room on the third floor. When I pushed the door open and walked in, it was almost full of people inside. Dad sat in the chair position. The eldest brother sits on the left. The second brother sits on the right. Mother was also present, sitting in the last row, her face haggard. The two sisters-in-law sat next to each other. No one talked. The atmosphere was so heavy that one could almost hear the hands of a clock. When they saw me appear, the whole room immediately became quiet. The second brother was the first to react.

"Lin Tri Y?"

"What are you doing here?"

The eldest brother stood up. His face was pale. Maybe he guessed something. Dad looked at me. His already tired eyes suddenly shook violently. I don't look at them for too long. Just step to the position opposite the chairperson. Tran Loi placed each file on the table.

"Hi everybody."

My voice was very calm.

"I'm here today as the buyer's representative."

In the meeting room, a series of rapid breathing sounded. The second sister-in-law immediately covered her mouth. The second brother almost couldn't believe it.

"What did you say?"

I opened the file in front of me.

"Based on the results of the appraisal of Kien Quoc Plastic Company's current assets and liabilities, our side has proposed a plan to purchase all remaining voting shares in the company."

"Purchase price is based on market value after debt and cash flow risk."

"No price gouging."

"Nor do we raise prices because of personal relationships."

I raised my head to look at my father.

"In other words, this is a normal deal."

"It's not like I save for free."

The last sentence fell. The faces of many people in the room changed. Dad put his hand on the table. The fingers trembled slightly. The elder bowed his head. The second brother opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but in the end he couldn't say it. I continue.

"After completing the transfer, the company will proceed with restructuring."

"First, retain valuable production lines."

"Second, review the entire management apparatus."

"Third, restore orders using Thinh Hang's new customer system."

"Fourth, retain maximum existing workers, giving priority to families with only one source of income."
