Chapter 8
Chapter 8 — A Lifetime of Letting Go
"Sister Tuyet Di, I really know my mistake, please save me, I don't want to go to those places," Luu Tu Tu's cries faded away at the end of the hallway. Outside the main gate of the manor, Co's mother knelt straight on the street. Her hair had turned white, and she no longer had the same face as before. "Tuyet Di, every mistake is Dinh Tham's fault, but after all, he is the man I have loved for ten years! I respect your love for always loving me, please General Tieu give him a way to live, he cannot stay in it all his life!" Co's mother shed tears, trying to use her old love to force me to soften my heart. I stood inside the gate, away from the fence, calmly looking at her. "Lady Gu, have you forgotten how you criticized my ordinary background in the past, and how you tolerated Liu Si Tu's rash behavior at the Co family? You feel that I am not worthy of the Co family, and now I really don't care anymore." I turned around and went deeper into the manor, cutting off all connections with the Co family. Three days later, I went to the visiting room for a visit. Through the glass, I saw that Co Dinh Tham had his head shaved and was wearing a prison uniform. His body became thinner, and when he saw me in his eyes, he regained some focus. "Tuyet Di... you came to visit me," He picked up the phone, his voice was hoarse. "I came to say goodbye," my voice was calm. Co Dinh Tham shed tears, he pressed his face against the glass, painfully repenting. "Every day I regret... if I hadn't brought that glass of milk in that night... if we had ended up smoothly." kiss…” “What happened can't be changed,” I interrupted him. "It's already over between us." I hung up the phone, without any hesitation turned around and left. Step out of the big gate, outside into the bright sunlight. Tieu Lang Tieu leaned next to the car, in his hand holding a bunch of white sand that I liked the most. Seeing me step out, he strode forward to give me flowers, taking the opportunity to hold my hand. "Are you done?" He asked softly. “Yes, it's over.” I took a deep breath. Half a year later, Tieu Lang Tieu organized a very grand wedding for me on the island. At the scene, there were no calculations and resentments like the past, only the absolute favoritism he had towards me. On the wedding night, the sea breeze caressed the silk curtains. Tieu Lang Tieu pressed me in front of the window, a warm kiss fell on my forehead, then moved to my lips. His eyes shone with deep affection over the years. "Tuyet Di, you know, I've been waiting for this day for ten years." He confessed his unrequited love since high school, and recounted his patient waiting for the past three years. I looked into his eyes and proactively wrapped my arms around his neck. "Lady Tieu, please teach me more for the rest of my life, this time I won't let go of your hand again." Tieu Lang Tieu gently placed his lips and kissed mine.---END OF STORY---
