Chapter 15
Chapter 15 — After Divorce, She Made The Whole River City Bow Its Heads
Chu Ky Bach did not shy away, his voice was gentle and straightforward: "The elders did have the intention to intervene, but I was not forced to come here. I came, because I wanted to come."
“If you don't like it, I won't use this to embarrass you in the future.”
Lam Van was silent for a moment, nodded: "Thank you."
“You're welcome.” Chu Ky Bach looked at her with a gentle smile, "But if one day you are ready to start a new life, I hope you will put me in the priority position."
It must be said that this expression is very high-handed. Not too pushy, but very clear. At that moment, a cold male voice suddenly rang out from behind: "Sorry, she's afraid she won't let you line up." They both turned around at the same time. Co Tram Chu didn't know when he was standing at the door of the side room, his face cold and scary. Lam Van's eyebrows immediately frowned: "Co Tram Chu, are you sick?" Chu Ky Bach also stopped smiling: "Mr. Co, this is the Tham family here, not the Co Group." But Co Tram Chu just looked at Lam Van and forced his voice to be low: "I have something to tell you privately."
“Not necessary.”
“Yes.”
Lam Van was annoyed with his appearance, decisively turned around and walked out to the balcony: "Okay, go ahead and say it, then get out quickly." Chu Ky Bach tried to follow, but she raised her hand to stop him. There's no one on the balcony. The door is closed, the noise outside seems to be isolated. Lam Van crossed her arms and looked at him: "What do you want to do?" Co Tram Chu stared at her, silent for a few seconds, as if trying to suppress some kind of emotion.
“Are you making out with him?”
“What if?”
She answered too decisively, causing the last bit of repression in Co Tram Chu's eyes to break.
“Lam Van.” His voice was tight, "How many days have you been divorced?"
Lam Van almost burst out laughing out of anger. “What, does the General feel that I have to mourn for my ex-husband for three full years?” Co Tram Chu was interrupted by her. Lam Van looked at him, her eyes gradually colder.
"Before, didn't you expect me to be reasonable and stay away from you? Now that I've really started a new life, what kind of expression do you have to run here?"
“Or do you only accept that I revolve around you, but not that I turn my back to look at others?”
Every sentence and every word pierced my heart. Co Tram Chu's throat was bitter. After half a day, he spoke with difficulty: "I just..."
“Just what?”
“I just can't stand seeing you standing next to another man.”
The night wind blew across the balcony, the space was quiet for a second. This is almost the first time Co Tram Chu admitted his feelings so frankly. I couldn't stand it. Can't stand her smiling at others, can't stand others getting close to her, can't stand the fact that she really lets go of him to start a new possibility. Lam Van just looked at him quietly. After a long time, she laughed softly.
“Can't stand it?”
"Co Tram Chu, do you know that before, when I saw you and To Thanh Nhan standing side by side, saw all the Co family members assuming that she was the future Mrs. Co, and saw you ignoring me countless times because of her, how did I feel?"
“At that time, I couldn't stand it either.”
“But later I realized, discomfort is the most useless emotion.”
She looked at him, saying every word, her voice was light, almost gentle, but extremely cruel. same:
“So I have detoxed you.”
Co Tram Chu's pupils suddenly shrank. He finally understood what it means to lose. The three words "Detox" were like a dull knife, bit by bit cutting into Co Tram Chu's chest. Before, he never believed that love could be like quitting drugs and alcohol, saying it's over and it's over. But now, Lam Van stood in front of him, in her eyes he really no longer existed. There is no love, no resentment, not even hatred. Only serenity remains.
