Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — After Eight Years You Mistaken Me
Time passes minute by minute. Nearly twenty minutes have passed since Hua Senh sent the message. Luc Gia Hach still did not answer. Hua Senh's face turned visibly pale. I'm a bit reluctant. Ben then replied to Hua Senh in the group.
"What's for the engagement party? I want to eat Cantonese food..."
The message has just been sent. The phone immediately rang. I picked up the phone to look. Luc Gia Hach:
“Okay.”
Chapter 13 I frowned. Hua Senh next to him was silent for a moment. Suddenly burst out laughing twice:
“Oh my god, Phan Phan.”
"My brother-in-law just told me that he just finished a meeting and only now has time to look at the messages..."
So. That message was the answer for Hua Senh. Just a little slow.
“Yes.”
I didn't pay attention. Unexpectedly, in the next second, I received a friend request from Luc Gia Hach. I hesitated for two seconds. Another friend request sent. Accompanied by confirmation:
“Are you coming to the engagement party tasting?”
I'm a bit confused. Do not agree to make friends. But replied to his verification message:
“Don't go.”
Luc Gia Hach is no longer moving. The next night. Dad proactively offered to take me to a charity party:
"This party is organized by the Luc family. We are about to become in-laws, and I just found out that dad took Pham Phan to open his eyes."
Mom did not object. Smiling and stroking my hair:
“It's been so long since Pham Pham has been back, he really should go and open his eyes.”
"That's right, where is Senh Senh? Bring Senh Senh too. You two sisters, you can't be treated favorably."
Don't wait for dad to say anything. Hua Senh put down the spoon. Shake your head. His face was filled with a happy smile:
"I'm not going anywhere. Dad, please take Pham Phan."
"I'm going to eat with Gia Hach tonight, so we can discuss more details of the engagement ceremony."
Just heard the name Luc Gia Hach. Mom's eyes immediately lit up. She nodded continuously:
“So the engagement is more important, don't delay it.”
I blinked. In other words. Lu Gia Hach will not appear at the party tonight. So. The refusal reached the tip of my tongue and I silently swallowed it back. ## Chapter 14 I don't have any formal clothes. Mom rummaged through the closet. Take out your old costume and try it on me. Finally discovered it didn't fit. She hesitated and said:
"Or Phan Phan should just wear normal clothes. Actually, there are no mandatory rules..."
“Mom.”
Hua Senh appeared at the door and interrupted her mother. In her hand she carried a light purple tuxedo.
“Let Pham Phan wear your clothes.”
Mom immediately refused without hesitation:
"How can it be? All my clothes are so expensive, what if they get damaged?"
“Mom, what are you talking about? We are sisters, why do we have to calculate so much?”
Hua Senh walked over and stuffed the tuxedo into my hand:
"Phan Pham, I've only worn this outfit once, it's almost new. Try it on."
I stood still without moving. Hua Senh pulled me to change clothes and even did my makeup herself. Finally, she smiled and stood behind me, her voice full of pride:
"Our family's Pham Phan also looks very beautiful with makeup. As expected of her as my younger sister."
I raised my head. Looking at myself somewhat strangely in the mirror. After makeup, this face seems even more like Hua Senh. It's just that the temperament is still completely different. She is brilliant and ostentatious. And I'm gloomy and shy. ## Chapter 15 When Dad took me there. It was very late. The whole room was bright with lights. I'm not familiar with places like this. The dress on her body belongs to Hua Senh. The shoulder line is slightly dropped, the waist is a bit wider, it doesn't fit anywhere. As soon as Dad walked in, someone came forward to greet him. He was quickly pulled into the middle of the crowd. I didn't know anyone, so I quietly retreated to a corner, chose an unremarkable position and sat down. If the person coming is Hua Senh. Perhaps she was holding her father's arm, smiling and raising a glass to each person, naturally and generously. Not like me, cowering in the corner secretly drinking champagne. But champagne is delicious. After drinking the third glass, I stood up and went to the bathroom. When returning. Dad was sitting in the crowd, waving to me:
"Phan Phan, you came at the right time. Dad is looking for you. Come and buy your brother-in-law a drink."
Brother-in-law... I was stunned. The footsteps stopped in place. Dad lost patience and stood up. Grab my arm and pull me towards it. I'm wearing Hua Senh's high heels. The steps are a bit unsteady. On the opposite side of the table was a man sitting. Luc Gia Hach. Today he wore a dark shirt. The collar was unbuttoned and his throat moved slightly. The whole person relaxed and leaned against the back of the chair, but it made others unable to take their eyes off. He is looking at me. His deep eyes slowly glanced over my eyebrows, eyes, bridge of my nose, and lips. Finally, back to the eyes. Apparently Hua Senh said he wouldn't come tonight. I have nowhere to hide. His whole body stiffened, completely exposed to the light. Don't know what to do. Final. Luc Gia Hach spoke in a hoarse voice:
“Are you two cousins… twins?”
“Yes, they are twins. Are they very similar?”
Dad didn't notice my abnormality. He pushed me again:
"Phan Phan, what are you doing in a daze? Quickly buy your brother-in-law a drink."
"Gia Hach, you're laughing at me. Years ago she was still recovering at her grandfather's house in the countryside, and was only recently picked up. She doesn't understand the rules."
