Chapter 19
Chapter 19 — Because of his ex-wife, he lost everything
The kitchen counter tilted its head to look at him, the scene was strangely warm. That night after he returned, while washing dishes, I suddenly found myself humming and singing. It's an old song I haven't heard in a long time. The lyrics say, "No matter how beautiful the spring breeze is, it's not as good as your smile." I stopped moving my hands, stood idly by the sink for a moment, then smiled. It turns out that wounds can actually heal. It turns out that the barriers that seemed insurmountable in this lifetime, when looking back, were just a small pothole on the road of life. Outside the window, the night is gentle, the lights of thousands of houses are bright. As for my life, it will only become more and more beautiful. (Complete set)
