Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — Brother Wanted To Harm Me, I Gave Him A Gift
I smiled slightly and changed my words:
"Help me take off my makeup."
I stretched and yawned slightly. That bastard Tan Tu Chuoc, he must have fought to the end last night, leaving me exhausted, my waist aching, my legs weak.
"In the palace... does anyone else know I wasn't in my room last night?"
Xuan Tuyet shook her head:
"The slave didn't dare to make a big deal out of it, so he just quietly went looking for it alone."
Her eyes glanced at the red mark on my neck, immediately understood, and bowed her head in silence. I looked at her suspiciously.
"Miss's earring... one side is missing."
I calmly replied:
"Maybe it fell somewhere."
As the hot water rushed over my body, I took a deep breath - it hurt. The pain from last night still lingers.
"I didn't expect that Tan Tu Chuoc's body... to be so strong.
What a pity..." At the third hour of the Dragon, when the noise rang out from Bac Garden, I was sitting in front of the mirror, leisurely drawing my eyebrows. Xuan Tuyet panicked and rushed in:
"Miss, at the North Garden... something happened..."
I put down the eyebrow pen, moving leisurely, my fingertips gently caressing the red mark on my neck, hidden under a thin layer of silk.
"No rush. Just let the fire burn a little bigger."
In my previous life, at this same moment, I woke up in a panic on Tong Chieu Da's bed, my clothes were disheveled, facing countless disdainful looks from all over the room. And this life...
"Let's go. You should come see the play I specially prepared for brother."
In front of the main room of Bac Vuong, servants surrounded it. I took the right time to step forward and just saw Giang Hac Lam grab Tong Chieu Da's collar and angrily roared:
"You dare touch my sister?! How will you face Thu Y?!"
My legs stopped, my nails unconsciously clenched my palms - blood oozed out and soaked my sleeves. Very good, my good brother... Having come to this point, I still only remember Lam Thu Y in my heart. We pushed the door and walked in. The room was a mess, the blankets were askew. Tong Chieu Da sat on the edge of the bed, his face gloomy, his robe wide open, revealing his firm, bare chest. And on the bed, the person bowing his head and sobbing — was Thuoc Duoc in my clothes!
"Brother, what are you two making noise about?"
I leaned loosely against the doorframe, my voice carrying a soft, sleepy tone, as lazy as a kitten that had just woken up. Two sharp eyes swirled at the same time. Giang Hac Lam's face immediately changed dramatically - from panic, surprise, to confusion. As for Tong Chieu Da... Those eyes - which have always been as cold as frost and snow - now stared at me fiercely, then slowly turned their gaze towards Thuoc Duoc curled up on the bed. His voice rang out, cold as ice that hadn't melted in a thousand years:
“Who are you?”
Thuoc Duoc raised her head, tears pouring down like rain falling on pear flowers:
“Tong… Sir Tong drank too much last night, he enticed the slave… the slave couldn't resist…”
Tong Chieu Da's eyes suddenly darkened, looking cold like a wild beast about to tear its prey to pieces.
“No way!”
As soon as Giang Hac Lam saw that the person on the bed was Thuoc Duoc, his face was as pale as ashes.
“Obviously I…”
He suddenly fell silent and glanced at me in panic. I slowly walked to the table, poured a cup of tea, and shook my wrist slightly, causing the jade bracelet to make a clear jingling sound.
“Snow Soak.”
He tried to force himself to calm down and asked softly,
“Last night… where were you?”
I raised my eyes and looked straight at him, my lips curled turned into an innocent smile:
"Still in the room. Didn't brother say last night that he wanted to watch the moon with you? Why did he get drunk first and then disappear?"
Tong Chieu Da sharply caught the confused look between me and Giang Hac Lam. His eyes moved back and forth between the two of us, finally stopping at my neck - where there was a faint red mark left by Tan Tu Chuoc. His pupils shrank sharply. A piece of jade pendant shattered right under Giang Hac Lam's feet, the crunching sound made Thuoc Duoc tremble. It's a jade pendant that he carries with him. Tong Chieu Da gritted his teeth:
“Jiang Hac Lam… you calculated very cleverly.”
I bowed my head, hiding the smile that was quietly blooming at the corner of my lips. Dog bites dog, it's truly a rare joy.
"No… it's not like that…"
Giang Hac Lam frantically picked up the jade pendant from the ground and suddenly pointed at Thuoc Duoc:
"It's her! It must be this servant who stole my jade pendant!"
Thuoc Duoc's face was as pale as ashes:
"Young Master... it's obviously the one who told this slave..."
"Shut up!"
