Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Dad's Wishes
Tham Van So covered his face and did not refute. Grandma grabbed her. "Say! Did your husband leave more than seven million?" The living room looked like someone had pressed a switch. Tham Kien Quoc's eyes lit up. Luu Xao Tran took a deep breath. Tham Niem Tu's hand holding her child also tightened. Trieu Khai softly cursed: "No wonder you don't say anything when you live or die." I looked at Tham Van So. She stiffened in place. At that moment, the answer was very clear. Grandma didn't know that more than seven million had just come out of her mouth. But yesterday she absolutely did not just say 180 thousand. Otherwise, today these people would not bring blankets and loan papers to block the door. Initially they wanted to swallow 180 thousand. Now that I smell more than seven million, my eyes have changed. Tham Kien Quoc rubbed his hands. "Thanh Hoa, so much money, it's not appropriate for you to take it alone. Your mother raised you so much, you have to at least split half." Luu Xao Tran immediately added: "That's right, 3.9 million. You don't ask for much, first borrow 1 million to pay off the debt in the house." Little aunt Tham Van Chau squeezed in first. "Recently, my store can't turn around. Thanh Hoa, please help me 500 thousand. When the store makes money, I'll pay you back." Tam Niem Tu's eyes turned red. "My child has to go to a good school, the dormitory's deposit is still lacking. When I was little, I even took you to buy candy, you can't be that unscrupulous." Trieu Khai is the most direct person. "That loan note in front of me doesn't tell the truth, give me 60 thousand. Also give me 200 thousand hush money, otherwise I will spread throughout your unit that you are not my biological child." Tham Van So suddenly grabbed him. “Trieu Khai, don't say it!” Trieu Khai pushed her away. "What are you afraid of? It wasn't originally born to you. You raised it for more than twenty years, shouldn't it repay you?" Thank you. These two words came out of their mouths, like dirty water splashed on my father's portrait. Lawyer Van's face turned cold. "Mr. Hua's estate is assigned to Hua Thanh Hoa. Mrs. Tham can claim the couple's common property, but other members of the Tham family do not have any rights." Dieu Que Phan shouted: "He is not my biological son! How can I get money from my son-in-law?" Lawyer Van looked at her. "After the legal adoption relationship was established, Hua Thanh Hoa is Mr. Hua's legal daughter." Grandma doesn't understand the rules, she only knows how to scold. She sat down on the ground, slapped her knees and screamed: "There is no more heaven! My daughter raised another person's illegitimate child, and in the end she didn't have a penny!" The two words bastard pounded down. Finally, Tham Van So's face also changed. But she didn't protect me. She rushed to cover Dieu Que Phan's mouth. “Mom, stop screaming!” Dieu Que Phan pushed her away. "I keep screaming! It wasn't born from you, so why are you afraid of it? Asking for money will only give you support for the next half of your life!" Tham Van So couldn't stand firmly and bumped into the cabinet next to the dining table. My father's portrait swayed and almost fell. I reached out my hand to grab the photo frame. Behind the photo frame fell a folded piece of paper. On the paper is my father's handwriting. "Thanh Hoa, the third floor drawer has a necklace that Ta Tri Vi and your mother left for you. Don't let anyone take it away." When Tham Van So saw that line, his face changed dramatically. She rushed towards the master bedroom. I'm faster than you. The third level drawer is locked. The key was in the lamp base on my father's desk. This is the "hide the treasure" game my dad used to play with me when I was little. When I opened the drawer, Tham Van So rushed up behind me. Inside there is a blue velvet box. As soon as the box was revealed, she grabbed my wrist. “I can't give this to you!” There was no longer any begging in her eyes. It's panic, greed, and unconcealed hatred. The velvet box was tightly locked in a drawer by Tham Van So. Her fingernail was broken and blood rubbed onto the blue fabric. “Thanh Hoa, listen to me once, you really can't touch this.” I looked at her. “This is what your biological mother left you.” Her eyes avoided. “Your father remembered wrongly.” Lawyer Van came over. "Mrs. Tham, in Mr. Hua's list it is written very clearly, Ms. Ta Tri Vi's relics include a gold necklace inlaid with jade, a letter and a diary.
frugal.” The two words savings book made the people of the Tham family at the door move again. Trieu Khai squeezed into the bedroom. “What savings book? How much?" Lawyer Van stood in front of the drawer. “It has nothing to do with you.” Tham Kien Quoc's face was gloomy. “Lawyers can't stop us from taking our belongings.” Uncle Chu spoke at the door: "This is the Hua family, not the Tham family." Tham Kien Quoc glared at him. “Old man, haven't you had enough blows just now?” I held the velvet box in my arms. Tham Van So suddenly collapsed. “That's mine!” It was quiet in the room. She realized she had said something wrong and her lips trembled violently. I opened the velvet box. There are no chains inside. There was only a yellowed letter and an old savings book. On the letter paper, write my intimate name. “Hoa Hoa.” Elegant handwriting. The first sentence is: "If I can't be with you growing up, don't be afraid, I will love you for you." Tears fell onto the letter paper, I quickly raised my hand to wipe them away.
