Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Disabled Fiance Wants To Take Me As His Concubine
A woman from the Nguyen family rushed out from the southwest side door to greet her, her face filled with a pleasing smile:
"This old slave would like to please the eldest lady, and welcome the eldest lady back to the palace. The old slave would like to guide the eldest lady the way."
After saying that, she immediately led me towards the side door. I stood there without moving. The woman returned again, her mouth was respectful and humble, but her eyes were full of mockery.
"Why don't you go, miss?"
One of my slaps hit her so hard that she spun more than half a turn on the spot.
"You know I'm a big girl, but you still dare to take me to the side door? The evil slave who bullied the master should be fined ten times. Linh Dang, just hold her tightly right in front of the big gate and beat her, to also serve as a deterrent to others."
Linh Dang kicked her with her long legs, kicking her to the ground. The two drivers immediately pulled out the wooden sticks from the forks and immediately carried out the punishment. Before the little private guarding the gate had time to regain his composure, the ten-sword attack had already been completed. I turned my head and glanced at him. He was so scared that he was shaking like a leaf. He crawled and rolled through the side door and ran inside to report. Very soon, stepmother Bach Thi walked out of the main gate. On her face was a look of weakness and self-pity, the handkerchief constantly wiping away tears that did not exist.
"Miss, please calm down. Originally, mother intended to personally come pick you up, but she hasn't been feeling well for the past few days, so she delayed. If you're blaming her, I'll go pick you up myself, why should I get so angry? Be careful not to harm your body."
Women in the capital really like to play these tricks. With just a few sentences, you want to put on your head the reputation of being arrogant, manipulating, and forcing your successor. I intentionally raised my voice just enough for the people watching around to hear clearly.
"Mother is joking. I am returning to my own house, do I still need someone to welcome me? Or is it that I have not returned to the palace for ten years, and mother has arbitrarily decided to erase my name from the family tree? Now in mother's eyes, am I already a guest?"
Mrs. Bach did not expect that I would not fall for the trap at all, but instead conveniently put on her head a hat that was beyond the authority of the clan, unable to accommodate the children of the main family. She was stunned for a moment before reluctantly forcing out a smile.
"What are you talking about, big lady? It's a happy thing for you to come back today. Why do you have to make such a big deal out of something like that for a servant? Otherwise you'll be known to be harsh towards your subordinates."
"What mother said is not right. This evil slave disrespected his master. Seeing me at a young age, he dared to bully me. He deliberately did not open the main gate. People who knew about it would say that he acted arrogantly and was a slave to usurp his master. People who did not know about it would think that it was mother who could not tolerate me and deliberately ordered her subordinates to make things difficult for me. I only did this to preserve mother's reputation."
"Besides, my Nguyen family is also considered a descendant of many generations of mandarins. In the palace, there appears a slave like that, if not strictly handled, the royal historians and officials will think that my father is not cultivating himself properly, the family is not strict, so what else can be used to replace the Emperor's grief, rule the country, and bring peace to the world?"
"Or is it that the fifth-grade Lang middle position has been in trouble for ten years, so I don't want to be promoted anymore?"
Bach Thi's face was as white as paper, a handkerchief in her hand almost crumpled. She fiercely glanced at the woman lying face down on the ground, then waved her handkerchief and coldly instructed:
"Go get the broker to come here and sell her."
As soon as the lady heard that, she immediately became frantic.
"Madam, you cannot sell the old slave! The old slave will do as you say..."
Before she could finish her sentence, Bach Thi's close mother immediately covered her mouth and ordered someone to drag her to the corner of the wall. It doesn't matter whose orders she works under. The important thing is the rule: if you dare to make things difficult for us, you must be sold.
"Linh Dang, call someone to move things. Go to Nguyet Hoa Cac."
I clasped my hands behind my back, raised my chin slightly, and boldly walked through the main gate into the palace. As soon as she heard the three words "Nguyet Hoa Cac", Bach Thi immediately panicked and ran after him.
"Miss, please stop. Right now my sister is at Nguyet Hoa Pavilion, the palace has prepared things for you..."
"If you have prepared any hospital, then let your daughter move to that hospital. There is no reason for the eldest daughter of the Nguyen family to return to the palace without having to stand under her sister's orders."
