Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Don't Touch An An
Tham Thanh Dao did not answer. The next message followed. "Mom is about to faint." "Don't just blame us." Tham Thanh Dao looked at that sentence and suddenly burst into laughter. Even now, he still talks about his mother. She locked the phone screen. Five minutes later, a muffled noise was heard from the stairs ahead. Immediately followed by the man's angry swearing sound. Tham Thanh Dao looked up. The sound of rain pounding outside the police car. She couldn't see anything clearly. A few more minutes passed, and a policeman hugged An An and rushed out. Tham Thanh Dao pushed the car door, her legs almost gave out. An An's body was wrapped in a police jacket, her small face was pale, and her forehead had a scratch. As soon as the little girl saw Tham Thanh Dao, her lips began to cry and she burst into tears. "Mom." Tham Thanh Dao hugged her child in her arms. She hugged her child very tightly, afraid of hurting her child. "It's mom." "Mommy's here." An An cried endlessly. Crying until the end, my voice was hoarse. Police said the child was frightened and needed to be immediately taken to the hospital for examination. Tham Thanh Dao nodded and carried her child into the car. The moment the car door closed, she saw Ha Khai being escorted out. Ha Khai's hair was wet, his face had wounds, his mouth was still screaming. "I didn't mean to hurt him!" "I just wanted to make some money!" "They forced me!" Tham Thanh Dao looked at him through the car window. His eyes were as cold as iron bars on a rainy night. Ha Khai saw her and suddenly struggled. "Sister-in-law, tell the police!" "I'm Ha Dinh's biological younger brother!" "An An is fine!" Tham Thanh Dao did not answer. The police car sped toward the hospital. Ha Dinh ran over when they were in front of the emergency room door. He rushed forward to carry An An. As soon as An An saw him, she immediately snuggled into Tham Thanh Dao's arms. "No need dad." Ha Dinh's hand stopped in mid-air. Tham Thanh Dao took her child and took a step back. "Don't touch her." Ha Dinh's eyes turned red immediately. "Thanh Dao, I didn't know things would turn out like this." Tham Thanh Dao looked at him. "There are so many things I don't know." When the doctor was examining An An, Ton My Lan also ran over. As soon as she entered the door, she rushed towards Tham Thanh Dao. "Thanh Dao, Tieu Khai was just temporarily confused." "Can you not prosecute?" Everyone in the hallway looked over. Tham Thanh Dao hugged An An's jacket and slowly stood up. "Say that again." Ton My Lan's face was filled with tears. "She's still young." "She can't go to jail." Tham Thanh Dao looked at her and suddenly felt extremely ridiculous. Her child had just been rescued from a dilapidated old building. The first words of this grandmother were not to ask if her grandchild was in pain. It's a prayer on behalf of the person who took the child away. Tham Thanh Dao took out his phone and dialed the lawyer. Ha Dinh's face changed drastically. "What are you going to do?" Tham Thanh Dao looked at him. "I want a divorce." "Custody of An An, I also want it."07The lawyer on the other end of the line only asked three things. Has the baby been fully examined? Does the hospital retain diagnostic records? Have you expressed your attitude of not dismissing the complaint in front of the investigator? Tham Thanh Dao said yes. The lawyer was silent for two seconds. "Then don't be soft-hearted." "This is not a family matter." "This is a criminal case." When Tham Thanh Dao hung up the phone, Ha Dinh was still standing in the hallway. His eyes were red. But what he said still made Tham Thanh Dao feel chills. "Thanh Dao, Tieu Khai will definitely be convicted?" Tham Thanh Dao looked at him. "Your daughter just finished checking." Ha Dinh's lips moved. "I know." "But after all, he is my younger brother." Tham Thanh Dao hugged An An's jacket and asked softly. "So who is An An?" Ha Dinh momentarily asked.
couldn't say a word. The emergency room door opened. The doctor said that An An had scratches on her body, mild dehydration, and quite serious panic attacks. Currently, no other skin injuries have been detected. Only then did Tham Thanh Dao's legs soften. She held onto the wall and took a long time to calm down. When An An was pushed out, her eyes were swollen. As soon as she saw Tham Thanh Dao, she immediately reached out and asked to be held. Tham Thanh Dao hugged her child. An An leaned into her ear and whispered: "Mom, I'm afraid of the dark." Tham Thanh Dao's nose stung. "In the future, I won't let you be afraid alone anymore." Ha Dinh raised his hand to pat his child's head. An An immediately dodged. "No need." Ha Dinh's hand stiffened in midair. Ton My Lan was crying next to her. She cried with great effort. But she cried not because An An had suffered so much. She cried because what should Ha Khai do? "Thanh Dao, you are also an older sister." "Can't you give Tieu Khai a chance?" Tham Thanh Dao turned his head to look at her. "I don't have a younger brother." Ton My Lan choked and her face turned pale. She turned to Ha Dinh again. "Dinh Dinh, please say something." "You can't just watch your brother go in there." Ha Dinh's face was tense. He looked at Tham Thanh Dao.
