Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — Dry Wood Meets Spring, We Meet You
After getting pregnant, the doctor advised me to walk a little more to make it easier to give birth later. I was so upset that I couldn't stand being locked in the palace all day, and I didn't want to meet Ha Thinh Xuyen, so I sneaked out the back door. Unexpectedly, Ha Thinh Xuyen changed his strategy to guard here, and ended up running into me. His face immediately brightened, he quickly walked forward with his crutch: "Nguong Ngu..." I immediately turned away, wanting to leave, but he pulled me back.
“Ngu Ngung, I really have something to tell you.”
I frowned, impatient: "Tell me, what's wrong?" For a moment, Ha Thinh Xuyen's face twisted as if remembering something angry: "It was Tan Duc who threatened my horse. If I didn't survive, it wouldn't just be a broken leg."
"Someone like him has a malicious heart and is extremely dangerous. I can't let you be with him. Ning Ning, come with me."
I was momentarily stunned. Seeing that I did not answer, Ha Thinh Xuyen raised his hand and swore: "Nguong Nguong, I swear everything is true. If there is even one lie, I will die unkindly." After listening, I just coldly glanced at him, not wavering at all. Even if he tells the truth, so what? Although Tan Duc has a bad temper, he has never hurt me. I don't believe he will harm me. Seeing that I didn't say anything, Ha Thinh Xuyen quickly threw away his crutches and jumped in front of me: "Nguong Nguong, why are you hesitating anymore? We are childhood sweethearts, how can I harm you?" We take a step back, keeping our distance.
"If you come today just to speak ill of my husband and separate my husband and wife, then I advise you to die early."
“I won't go with you.”
Ha Thinh Xuyen truly deserves to be taught a lesson. Not only because he had a change of heart, but also because he wanted to kill my and Tan Duc's child. Ha Thinh Xuyen looked at me incredulously: "Ngh Ngung, stop being so confused, someone like him has an unusual temper, how can he be sincere with her?"
"I know you only married him because you were angry with me. Now I regret it. I agree to separate with Nhuoc Nhuoc. Can you also leave him and come back to me?"

“No way!”
My face turned cold, without thinking I immediately refused. At first, it was out of anger that I came to Tan Duc, but after two years, he quietly entered my heart without even realizing it. As for him, he has long been nothing to me. I turned my head, my face expressionless: "I love my husband very much, and our child too. Today's words are as if I never heard them, please come home." My decisive words made Ha Thinh Xuyen's eyes red: "No, I don't believe it."
"We grew up together, you said you would marry me, how could you love someone else?"
Tan Duc's tears will hurt me, make me panic, and his tears, I just feel disgusted.
"Whether you believe it or not has nothing to do with me. From now on, please don't bother me and my husband anymore."
Seeing that I was about to leave, Ha Thinh Xuyen wanted to pull me back. Suddenly, someone kicked me from behind. It's Tan Duc. He hugged me, his face as cold as frost: "If you dare to bother her again, don't blame me for being rude." Ha Thinh Xuyen fell prostrate on the ground and could only watch me and Tan Duc leave. Tears welled up in his eyes, and finally he couldn't hold back and spilled out. Back in the room, I looked at Tan Duc and wanted to say it again. Feeling my gaze, he sighed softly:
“I know what you want to ask.”
“What if I say he didn't lie and it was really my doing?”
Tan Duc stared at me without blinking, as if he wanted to see through my soul. After being silent for a long time, I proactively hugged him, burying my face in his strong chest. That is my answer. Tan Duc paused for a moment, then slowly raised his hand and hugged me tightly. I don't know how much time has passed, but he sadly spoke in my ear: "I heard everything you said just now." I curled my lips and pretended not to know:
“What words?”
Tan Duc smiled slightly, his eyes were no longer as dark as before, but brighter: "She said, she loves me." I also laughed. Holding his face, placing a kiss on his lips: "Yes, I love you, so don't do anything like that in the future, okay?" Not because I feel sorry for Ha Thinh Xuyen, but because I'm afraid someone will pick on me and cause harm to Tan Duc. Tan Duc nodded, leaned close to my ear, his voice was low and hoarse, full of charm:
“Okay.”
“I love you too.”
