Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — End of Seven Year Relationship
5After I recovered from my illness and returned to school, I happened to meet Phi Tu Hanh and Bach Thanh Nguyet. I walked straight in front of Bach Thanh Nguyet, looking at her seriously. "Sorry, junior, I shouldn't have been angry with you that day, I couldn't control myself." Bach Thanh Nguyet smiled gently, "It's okay, junior sister, I don't mind that, I'm used to it." This is the second time she emphasized that she is "used to" being resentful. Whether it was intentional or unintentional, I don't bother calculating anymore. Gently smiled politely at her, then decided to leave. Phi Tu Hanh grabbed my wrist as I walked by. "Are you cured?" I immediately withdrew my hand and took a step back. "Okay." The tone was very calm. I think it was because I had always been amorous, thinking that Phi Tu Hanh treated me differently. I shouldn't have expectations. Phi Tu Hanh looked at me, his eyes were unpredictable. "What's wrong with you?" I shook my head, my voice was a bit cold and uncontrollably polite. "It's okay, I still have to go to the library, I won't bother you guys anymore." I don't want to anger Phi Tu Hanh now, so stay away. Phi Tu Hanh looked unhappy, "What exactly are you so angry about?" I don't understand why I gave them personal space, but Phi Tu Hanh is still not satisfied. Bach Thanh Nguyet stood behind him, her eyes glanced at me, seemingly a bit dark for a moment. Before he could look closely, Phi Tu Hanh opened his mouth again. "You never change, you never learn how to respect others." He looked at me with disappointment, then turned around and led Bach Thanh Nguyet away. After that, for a long time, I did not actively contact Phi Tu Hanh. He, too, is probably busy being with Bach Thanh Nguyet. In the early days, I still felt sad. Sometimes I think about the times when we were close, when Phi Tu Hanh really treated me very well. I thought this cold war would last forever, and Phi Tu Hanh and I would no longer have anything to do with it. But, Bach Thanh Nguyet doesn't seem satisfied with that.6Friday night. When I left the library, it was half past ten. This road is hardly traveled by anyone. That day was not exactly a coincidence, I encountered a bullying scene. Two girls held Bach Thanh Nguyet tightly, while another person repeatedly slapped her in the face. Mouth scolding. "Why does your mouth smell so bad? What if I take my boyfriend back to the dormitory? Do you need to tell the teacher? Damn, do you think it has something to do with you?" Bach Thanh Nguyet's face seemed to have been slapped and swollen. This is the only way to the dormitory, I stood not far away. There was no agitation in my heart. I just hope they end it quickly so I can go home. Luckily, just a few minutes later, they saw that Bach Thanh Nguyet did not resist, and their anger subsided. They threw her back, then all three of them left. "Have you seen enough?" Bach Thanh Nguyet sat on the ground and suddenly spoke up. I calmly walked out, "I don't care about your business, I was just passing by." She laughed softly, “Do you think they really beat me because I told the teacher?” Bach Thanh Nguyet gently brushed her hair behind her ear. "She's angry because her boyfriend expressed his feelings to me." "I'm not sad." She said, “At least that proves that as long as I stand there, there will be a group of boys racing to confess their love to me.” “Including Phi Tu Hanh.” She smiled. A cold feeling rose in my heart. "This has nothing to do with me." Indeed, Bach Thanh Nguyet is not as simple as she seems. I don't want to hear her weird theories. I was about to turn around and leave, but she suddenly seemed crazy, stood up, ran over and grabbed me. "You like Phi Tu Hanh, right?" "But
What should I do? He likes me." She looked at me, the corners of her lips curled up in a smile. She touched my pain, causing me to push her hand away. "Are you sick?" Bach Thanh Nguyet suddenly seemed unable to stand and fell to the ground. I was stunned for a moment. ...I didn't use any strength. "Vu Chieu!" My whole body stiffened, the owner of the voice behind me, I was no longer a stranger. Phi Tu Hanh passed me and ran to Bach Thanh Nguyet's side. Helped her up. He slowly lifted Bach Thanh Nguyet's hair, seeing the wound on her face. His eyes looked at me so gloomily... "It's not me who hit her, don't look at me with that look." Phi Tu Hanh didn't pay attention to my words, just softly asked Bach Thanh Nguyet, "Did she hit you?" Bach Thanh Nguyet smiled palely, her eyes filled with tears, "Stop it." She tacitly admitted. I laughed out of anger, "Believe it or not is up to you." Just as he was about to leave, Phi Tu Hanh blocked his way. "I won't apologize, Phi Tu Hanh." I didn't do it, why should I apologize? His voice was cold, without any emotion. "Okay." I froze, feeling something was wrong. "Thanh Nguyet, come here." He called Bach Thanh Nguyet back. "Fight back." Phi Tu Hanh said. I looked intently at Phi Tu Hanh. Time and time again I wonder, is this the childhood friend I grew up with? Phi Tu Hanh bowed his head and looked at me. "Your parents pampered you too much, making you like this, even learning how to bully others." My hands dropped and I clenched, my face was pale. "Do you think I could beat her into this state by myself?" But he didn't believe it, just thought I was making excuses. His voice was not warm at all. “I don't want to break up with you.” He told me. I looked at Bach Thanh Nguyet blankly, and asked in a hoarse voice: "What do you want?" Bach Thanh Nguyet suddenly burst into tears. She walked in front of me and slapped me. “You are a rich person, a lady! I'm so poor that I have to scrape together money to pay tuition." "You hit me, do I dare to retaliate?! Can I pay for your treatment? You remember what happened at the aquarium that day, just say it directly!" "You and Mr. Phi are childhood friends, I won't bother you two anymore, why do I need to take action?" She cried, "Just because I'm a poor student, my family is not as good as yours, do you have the right to treat me like that?!" I couldn't control myself, I was so angry that I was shaking. I raised my hand to slap back but Phi Tu Hanh held my wrist tightly. "Vu Chieu." He looked at me like he was looking at a stranger. "You should learn a lesson too." As soon as he finished speaking, he pushed me to the ground. I looked at the backs of the two people leaving and softly spoke. "Phi Tu Hanh." "For the past ten years, I feel like I have known a dog." "But today's story will not stop here." The moonlight was gloomy, his back only paused for a moment, not turning back once. 7 That road was too remote, there was no surveillance camera. In addition, the other three girls certainly wouldn't admit to hitting someone. I have no way to explain. After a while, I stood up from the ground and quietly walked towards the dormitory. When he arrived downstairs, Phi Tu Hanh was standing under the streetlight, his face not looking good. My eyes did not stop on him for more than a second, my footsteps did not stop. But Phi Tu Hanh stepped straight in front of me, blocking my path. "Go away." I weakly spoke. He forcefully placed the bottle of medicine in my hand. Then he raised his hand to touch my cheek, where there was a red mark. I tilted my head to avoid it. He frowned, pursed his lips tightly. "You hit Thanh Nguyet like that, I'll just give her a slap in return." "Vu Chieu, stop being angry with me." As soon as he finished speaking, his phone rang.
Phi Tu Hanh shouted. He answered the phone, I could clearly hear the pampering tone on the other end of the line. "Mr. Phi, I'm in pain, can you come to me?" Phi Tu Hanh hung up and immediately turned and left. After walking a few steps, he seemed to remember something and turned around to look at me. His eyes were gentle, gently reassuring: "Remember to go home and apply the medicine." "Last time, didn't you say you wanted to eat at the new wonton restaurant that opened outside the school? I'll take you there tomorrow." He seemed to be in a hurry, without waiting for me to answer, he ran away. I lowered my head and looked at the bottle of medicine in my hand. Gently let go, the bottle of medicine fell to the ground. I didn't bother to look, walked around him and left. That wonton shop used to be a place I wanted to drag Phi Tu Hanh along to try. But he just annoyed me and rejected me. He said, "Can't you go by yourself? I have a full schedule all day." Later, when I was about to go alone, I saw him and Bach Thanh Nguyet sitting by the shop window. He said he was busy, but was willing to spend time with Bach Thanh Nguyet. I have never visited that wonton shop. Now, I don't want to come anymore. And perhaps, Phi Tu Hanh's promise was just a fleeting word. The next day, I hope you don't look for me. On the contrary, I have rarely felt so relieved. Phi Tu Hanh always used my parents' affairs to threaten me, like a huge mountain pressing down on me, making it difficult for me to breathe.
