Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — Eternal Love
Trien Thanh nodded calmly:
“I will take care of her.”
After handing over my daughter to my son-in-law, my mother pulled me aside and happily said:
“Don't worry, Trien Thanh has already expressed his attitude to mother.
His mother also called her. Back home, both families will discuss to reorganize their wedding." She patted me on the shoulder proudly:
“As expected of my daughter, it takes courage to keep a child like Tieu Trien!
Quickly move out of that shared apartment and stay here to recuperate well. Mom is here to prepare!” My mother was as happy as the wind, blowing everything out the door. Only I was left standing in place, so angry that I puffed my cheeks like a puffer fish.
“I want to divorce you!”
Trien Thanh raised his hand and grabbed my hand, holding it tightly:
“Actually, you know I returned home a long time ago, right?”
I was stunned. He took a step forward, pressing close to me:
“You also know that I work at the hospital in the city, right?”
My eyes avoided, my heart skipped a beat.
“I was planning on removing the surveillance camera, but I also figured you would watch.
So you deliberately let me see you living happily, right?
“What... are you talking about?!” I argued haphazardly.
“The person using the landline phone who called me after the medical examination but didn't say anything... is also you, right?”
Every word he said seemed to strike straight at the truth—that I still liked him. I'm so embarrassed that I'm angry:
“That's right, it's all me!
Who else knew I was sick and proactively contacted my mother to arrange a hospital bed?
“Who is the person who secretly helped me rent a room and let your sister be my roommate?”
“Who knows that someone is pursuing me, so they send flowers in my husband's name?”
“Who is the person who sees me eating or walking alone and secretly follows me?”
“I… huh.”
I suddenly bent down and hugged my stomach, the wound was painful. But still refused to let the momentum drop:
“You talk as if you don't care!”
Trien Thanh reacted as quickly as lightning and picked me up. His facial features stiffened, his voice low:
"Tan Sang Au, I know you've already given in to me."
I reached out and squeezed his collar, unceremoniously:
"What's wrong? If you're a prince, if you bow your head, the crown will surely fall?"
He was silent. Just when I thought I had made him speechless, he slowly said:
“You are no one.
So you don't have to become anyone for me. At that moment, my eyes turned red. 6. Actually, I know he already apologized to me. After requesting a divorce, during the day I still played the role of an independent, shining woman. But at night, I hid in my room and cried until my eyes were swollen. One night, about the second month after our breakup, I had just finished watching Desperate Housewives and decided to kill Trien Thanh in my dream. Not long after I closed my eyes, I suddenly heard a small noise outside the living room. At first, I thought it was because of the wind that caused the balcony door to not close tightly. But then, I froze—because someone was opening my bedroom door! My whole body stiffened. That person carefully walked to my bed. I lay still, that person didn't move. Cold sweat ran down my spine. Then, that person... turned on the air conditioner for me. What kind of thief is this?!
“Sorry, don't vent your anger me.”
After a moment of silence, I heard the thief gently stroke my face, his voice hoarse. We unconsciously understand each other down to every detail, and we can figure out the things we secretly do behind each other's back. Even though I blocked all of Trien Thanh's social network accounts, every time I feel lonely in the middle of the night, I can't control myself. On a dark, moonless night, I registered a new Weibo account, set my profile picture to a "mom" style flower icon, and then sneaked onto his personal page. Trien Thanh does not often post on WeChat, but often updates on Weibo. And the only person who knows his Weibo account is me. On the outside, he looks cold and arrogant, but in reality he is a genuine chuunibyou, sharing "hahaha" jokes all day long. After the breakup, he posted less, but sometimes he still stayed up late to write emotional sentences, not looking very happy. Seeing that he was also miserable, I felt extremely happy. But when you laugh at someone one day, you laugh the next day. No matter how I scrolled, I was so excited that I forgot I was using a virtual account, so I clicked "like" on a series of his mood posts. Even worse, he was online at the time! He is a VIP member of Weibo. If you look up a little, you can immediately know which accounts often visit his personal page. I immediately returned to my secondary account and quickly "reconstructed" my personality as a divorced mother of two children in a small town. Then ran to like some random posts from strangers to hide their tracks. However, I didn't expect that... He felt suspicious, so he used the method of finding the account again by nickname, entering the account name of the "milky mother" I had just created. When he saw the last four digits of the registered phone number, he immediately identified it—that was my secondary account. He sent a text message: 【?】 I tremblingly replied: 【?】 He replied: 【Auntie, if my high fever won't go down, it's best to take me to the hospital soon, don't waste time coming up here complaining.】 Me: 【……】 ________________________________________ 7. The war of words in the living room that day between me and Trien Thanh was inconclusive. But after that, both of them felt a little embarrassed, as if all the secrets had been revealed. I still want to go back to the shared apartment. But Trien Thanh invited a maid. But she... cooks extremely well! He really has my back. Since going to work and being exhausted like a horse, it has been a long time since I've experienced the feeling of opening my eyes and having food available, and after eating I can lie down and rest. If you don't enjoy this benefit, it's your own fault! After the meal, I curled up on the sofa, giggling and scrolling through short videos. After finishing washing the dishes, Trien Thanh sat down next to me very naturally and opened his laptop to work. This moment made me feel like I had returned to the time right after graduating from college—I was at home applying for a job while waiting for him to come home from work to eat. The only difference is... At first I deliberately kept a distance from him. But then I realized that sitting close to him could conveniently take fruit and tissues from him, so I just leaned closer without realizing it. Electricity My phone kept ringing with message notifications. Initially, I planned to not open work WeChat during the vacation even if the world exploded, but seeing so many messages, I couldn't help but open it. In the company's small group, everyone was discussing the gathering and urged Sao Vu to make arrangements. Sao Vu: 【Tieu Tan is still recovering from illness, what kind of gathering is there if there aren't enough people?】 I immediately jumped in: 【Boss Sao, don't use me as an excuse! If you really invited me, I would crawl over!】 Sao Vu is truly a good person, just a bit... stingy. Enticing him to invite him to dinner has long become a common hobby of the whole group. Sure enough, a minute later, he typed out a sentence: 【For your health, and also to avoid having your husband—your doctor—turn and scold me, I decided to wait until you were completely healthy before inviting you!】 The whole group was competing to "stone" Sao Vu for being stingy, but as soon as they read the word "doctor's husband", the group chat immediately exploded. Everyone simultaneously @ me, spamming with question marks. I was also full of confusion, immediately texted Sao Vu privately: 【???】 Previously, I refused Sao Vu's pursuit, saying that I was married. But I never told him that my husband was a doctor. It was also never said that my husband was Trien Thanh—the person he saw that day. So how did he know? I racked my brain but still don't understand. Sao Vu sent a series of ellipses, then immediately sent a five-second recording.
