Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — Fake Heavenly Metal Meets True Love
I took the invitation letter to find Chu Tu Bach.
“Are you making arrangements?”
“The person in charge of the wedding looked at the finished product photos and then proactively sent invitations.”
“Don't go through the back door?”
“I can arrange it.”
He raised his eyes.
“Do you need it?”
“No need.”
“Then win by yourself.”
I pulled out the file.
“What if you lose?”
“Continue shooting.”
Chu Tu Bach leaned on the sofa.
“Tinh Lan has more than seventy hotels, there is always a place ready to wait for the day she wins.”
I looked at him.
“That also counts as going through the back door.”
“Is it okay to give her a chance to compete fairly?”
“Looks like you know how to talk.”
He reached out and grabbed my finger.
“Is there a reward?”
I looked around. The staff were all outside, and there were only fixed cameras in the living room. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. Chu Tu Bach was stunned. I immediately stood up straight.
“Daily salary two hundred, bonus five yuan.”
He held my wrist, pulling me back.
“Lady Hua.”
“What?”
“I would like to request a salary advance.”
Just as his kiss fell, Trinh Du's voice came from outside the window.
“Mr. Chu, did you see…”
The door was pushed halfway and quickly closed. Trinh Du added loudly from outside:
“Can't see anything, you two keep going!”
I pushed Chu Tu Bach away, my face was hot. He leaned against the sofa and raised his hand to touch the corner of his lips.
“Lady Hua.”
“Shut up.”
“When will the remaining salary be distributed?”
I picked up a pillow and threw it at him. ## 11 Before the final confession night, the program brought a new camera brooch. The stone was changed to a more transparent blue color, next to the lens was engraved with two very small letters. HC. Chu Tu Bach stood outside the door. He was wearing a black vest, his hair was combed back, but in his hand was carrying a bag of roasted chestnuts with sugar that I like to eat.
“Are you satisfied?”
“Is it expensive?”
“Custom made.”
“So it's very expensive.”
I put the brooch back in the box.
“I can't bear to wear it.”
He walked in, took out the brooch, and personally pinned it on my dress.
“It was made for you to wear.”
“What if I accidentally lose it?”
“Do it again.”
“The meaning will change.”
He fixed my collar for me, his finger stopping next to the brooch.
“The meaning lies in you.”
“If you lose something, you can make it again.”
His voice lowered.
“And you can't lose it.”
I looked at Chu Tu Bach who was right in front of me. A few days ago, I could still naturally compliment him, hold his hand, and consider all those interactions as part of work. Now, when he comes even slightly close, my heartbeat becomes erratic. Chu Tu Bach realized I was nervous and smiled slightly.
“Teacher Hua.”
“What?”
“When you still considered this a job, you were so proactive.”
“After I was transferred to an official employee, you didn't dare look at me?”
I raised my head.
“Before, I just wanted to finish filming the show smoothly.”
“What now?”
“Now I'm afraid I'm too serious, when the contract expires it will be difficult to get out.”
Chu Tu Bach held my hand.
“Who said it will definitely expire?”
The final night of confession was broadcast live in its entirety. Tham Tri Vi stands in the middle of the stage. This is the position the program designed for her from the beginning. According to the expected procedure, the three men would walk towards her one after another. She wore a white suit, refused all love confessions, and completed the scene A beautiful ending for a sober female lead. The host asked:
“Tri Vi, what is your biggest gain on this journey?”
She smiled slightly.
“I am even more certain that women do not need anyone else's choices to prove their worth.”
“I respect each person's vibration, and also respect their freedom to leave.”
There was applause below. The first person to make a choice was Trinh Du. He walked in front of Lam Vi.
“The first day we met, we argued whether sweet tofu or salty tofu was better.”
“The controversy to this day still has no result.”
“Can we continue arguing later?”
Lam Vi's eyes reddened, placing her hand in his palm.
“But I have to say first, no matter what, I will only eat sweet tofu.”
The second person is Co Van. He walked towards To Tinh and gave her a fountain pen.
“You always ask me how the people in those cases lived later.”
“There will be a new story later, I still want to tell you.”
To Tinh smiled and took it. The third person is Luc Thua An. He did not walk towards any of the female guests.
“In the past, I used to think that being good at expressing was synonymous with being sincere.”
“This experience made me see clearly how different those two things are.”
He stopped for a moment.
“I choose to leave alone.”
The camera turns to Tham Tri Vi. She was still standing straight, but her fingers were clasped tightly together. The host quickly made peace.
“Everyone has made the decision to follow their heart.”
Tham Tri Vi nodded.
“I'm happy for them.”
“A real female protagonist should not be bound by a man's choices.”
After speaking, her eyes crossed the crowd and fell on Chu Tu Bach. ## 12 The host asked her:
“Tri Vi, do you have any regrets on this journey?”
She smiled calmly.
“Of course there are regrets.”
“If people had more complete information initially, perhaps they would have made different choices.”
“But you and Tu Bach have been together for so long, I won't fight.”
She once again put herself in the position of creator. Then, she turned to me.
“I just hope you can be a little more alert.”
"Tu Bach manages a giant corporation, and right now she is in dire need of money. Appreciation, dependence and love are sometimes easily confused."
