Chapter 11
Chapter 11 — From the day I reported losing my card, I started a new life
I took a step closer, looking straight into his eyes.
"Your mistake is not tolerating my family to steal my money."
“But… you didn't expect me to dare to resist.”
“You didn't come to me because your conscience awakened.”
“But because the summons scared me.”
“The lawyer's letter to the company made you lose face.”
“My counterattack reached your advantage — so you panicked.”
My words are sharp as a scalpel. Peel off every layer of fakeness in the deepest part of his heart. His eyes began to avert. Lips moved — but unable to refute. Because everything I said… is the truth.
“So stop acting.”
My patience has run out.
“My conditions are clearly stated in the divorce agreement.”
Then take your family and leave my house.”
“We consider payment done.”
“If you don't sign — let's meet in court.”
“By then, everything you and your family do... will be exposed.”
“You choose.”
He shook his head violently, his emotions starting to lose control.
“I am not divorced!”
“An Nhien... I don't want a divorce!”
"We've been together for ten years... how can we say it's over and it's over!"
“I love you, An Nhien!”
The moment he uttered that sentence — I burst out laughing. A word that is both cheap... and ridiculous.
“What do you love about me?”
I looked straight at him.
“Love because I know how to make money, so you and your family can live comfortably?”
"Love because I'm good at taking care of things, so when you come home you'll have hot food and clean clothes?"
“Or love because I know how to be patient, can unconditionally endure your mother's greed and your sister's stubbornness?”
“Chu Minh Hien — the person you love has never been me.”
“I just love a fully functional, nanny-like wife… who doesn't cost me a dime.”
“Darling — it's you.”
His body trembled violently. His face was as white as a sheet of paper. He staggered back, leaning against a pillar in the hall — as if his soul had been drained. At that moment... Outside the hotel's revolving door, a familiar high-pitched cursing voice rang out.
“Chu Minh Hien! Refuse!"
“What are you doing standing there talking nonsense with this woman!”
I turned my head. When did Luu Ngoc Mai and Chu Kha Han appear? There was no "fainting" appearance like he said - she was fierce and surprisingly strong. Those triangular eyes pinned me like sharp knives. She charged — like a mad lioness.
“Hua An Nhien! You comet!”
“Pay my son!”
“Give me my house back!”
She raised her hand, trying to grab my hair. But I took a step back. Two guards immediately stepped forward to block her.
“Madam, please calm down!”
“This is a hotel, please don't make any noise!”
Being stopped, Luu Ngoc Mai became even angrier. She sat down on the ground, rolling around and throwing a tantrum.
“Oh my god, I hit someone! Murder!”
“This fox wants to drive my whole family to death!”
“Is there still justice!”
Chu Kha Han took out his phone, pointed it straight at my face and filmed.
“Let's all go back! Show everyone her true face!”
“If you have a husband and are still at the hotel — you're definitely sneaking behind my back!”
In the hall, all eyes turned to us. Murmurs arose everywhere. Chu Minh Hien stood to the side, his face as red as pig liver. He tried to pull his mother up — but she pushed her hand away.
“Get out of the way! Refuse!"
“My wife can't even handle it!”
The scene is chaotic and unsightly. One cheap show. And I — am at the center of it. But my heart never wavered. I just quietly looked at them. Watching them exhaust their strength to act out the final madness. I took out my phone. Right in front of them, I punched in three numbers. The wire is quickly connected. I spoke clearly, calmly and coldly:
“Hello, hello, are you the police?”
“I'm in the lobby of Hotel XX.”
“There are people causing trouble, personally attacking and slandering me.”
“That's right — I have a full recording and the hotel cameras can testify.”
“Okay, I'll wait.”
I hung up. Looking up, Liu Ngoc Mai was lying on the ground and Chu Kha Han was still holding the phone. Their movements... stopped. For the first time — real fear appeared on their faces. I smiled slightly.
“Want to play?”
“I'll play along.”
“But let's change places.”
“Go to the police station… then play slowly.”
