Chapter 5 — From the Ruins, I Rise Brightly

“Hello, are you the police?”

“At XX Street Coffee Shop, someone caused trouble and suddenly fainted.”

“Yes, it's my ex-husband.”

Two men behind immediately rushed forward, pushing Chu Le and her mother to the ground. The hospital room instantly turned into chaos. Crying, cursing, screaming... mixed together. Chu Khai in bed was awakened by noise. He opened his eyes and saw a hellish scene before him. The woman he once loved... is fighting with his own family. But it all... stemmed from his own stupidity. Lam Vy's words echoed in his head.

“You inanimate thing.”

“Poor guy.”

“It's just an act.”
