Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — Great Lady Fake Weakness
Tuong Sach smiled meaningfully: "Mr. Bui is very careful. Miss Minh, who is so beautiful, should be carefully protected." I closed my eyes and pretended not to hear. Luong Chi standing next to him suddenly spoke up: "General Tuong doesn't know, Miss Minh is not the usual pretty type. She knows how to read contracts, knows how to check books, and is also very good at making men show up for her." Tuong Sach raised his eyebrows: "Oh? Is it that powerful?" Luong Chi smiled: "Very powerful." I really want to sigh. Why can't she learn to keep her mouth shut? Halfway through the party, the lights suddenly went out. Boos rang out in the hall. Right after that, a loud noise came from the second floor. Bui Do's face changed: "Camera control room." He turned around to leave, I quickly grabbed him. “Don't go.” He looked at me. I lowered my voice: "Before the lights went out, Tuong Sach's men all retreated to the right hallway. Their target was not the camera room, but you." Bui Do's eyes sank. In the darkness, someone pushed away the crowd. I hear the wind. Very light. It's a knife. Bui Do's reflexes were very quick, but the opponent clearly had the skills to take advantage of the chaos and get close to his flank. My father's instructions flashed in my mind. Unless absolutely necessary, do not reveal your identity. But the tip of the knife had already reached Bui Do's waist. This is considered completely unacceptable. I reached out and grabbed the stranger's wrist, bending it down.
“Crack” sound.
The other man's pitiful scream had not yet escaped his mouth. My other hand pressed down on his neck, pinning his entire body down on the banquet table. The table could not bear the force and collapsed in half. The entire hall was silent for a second. The backup light comes on. Everyone saw me wearing a light pink tuxedo, holding the assassin with one hand and carrying half of the tablecloth with the other. The assassin pressed his face into the cake, his wrist bent at an extremely unsightly angle. I raised my head and met Bui Do's eyes. Bui Do looked at me. I looked at Bui Do. Then I slowly let go, took a half step back, and clutched my chest: "It scared me to death." Everyone: "..." I tried to squeeze out a little bit: "Mr. Bui, was I too scared just now?" Bui Do stared at the assassin convulsing in the pile of cakes.
“Yes.” His voice is very low. “He also looked very scared.”
Tuong Sach was about to take advantage of the chaos to escape but was stopped at the door by That Scar and A Phat. Even though my father told me not to reveal it, he still couldn't bear to leave me alone at the Bui family's house. There are always guards outside the party. Seeing That Scar, Tuong Sach's face changed. Seeing more tattoos on A Phat's neck, his legs became weak.
“You... are you from the Ming family?”
A Buddha smirked: "General Tuong, long time no see." Tuong Sach finally remembered. He turned around and looked at me, his eyes like he had seen a ghost: "Are you Minh Yeu?" I picked up the hem of my dress and walked over, completely giving up the "weak" concept. Can't act anymore. Really. I smiled: "General Tuong, you have a good memory." The blood on Tuong Sach's face drained little by little. Luong Chi stood next to him, his whole body stunned: "Miss... you guys know each other?" Tuong Sach didn't pay attention to her, he made a "thud" sound and fell to his knees down. The sound is crisp and clear. Everyone in the lobby was stunned. It was General Tuong, who just now acted like a dog yawned when a fly raised his glass, and immediately knelt down in front of me.
"Miss Minh, I didn't know it was you! If I knew, even if you gave me ten courage, I wouldn't dare touch President Bui!"
I frowned: "So you dare give me nine livers?" Tuong Sach shivered and quickly bowed his head: "I don't dare! I don't dare even a single leaf!"
