Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — Having occupied a Business Seat, I went straight to First Class
“Today, I stand here to announce something.”
“One that involves business ethics, legal boundaries… and the survival of a technology company.”
Below, the camera started flashing continuously. The air immediately tensed up.
“Perhaps everyone knows that our Sang Khoa Tri Neng has recently been maliciously acquired by Hoang Vien Capital.”
“Initially, I considered it normal competition, which could be resolved within the framework of the rules.”
“But now… I am forced to change my perspective.”
“Because our opponents… don't play by the rules.”
“And even… there is no limit.”
The whole hall was shocked. The reporter's eyes lit up like he had caught gold.
“Yesterday, from 1:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m., the core server of Sang Khoa Tri Neng was continuously attacked for three hours.”
“The target is very clear… is the entire source code of ‘Thien Khuong’.”
I press the remote. The rear screen immediately plays video. That's the processed footage from the attack. Each step of intrusion, each defense layer being breached, each data theft operation... appear clearly. The whole hall held its breath.
“Our technical team fought all night and successfully repelled the attack.”
“At the same time… we have also blocked all traces of the attacker.”
The screen switches to a detailed technical report. The final conclusion line is bolded in red.
“All attacks… refer to the same IP cluster.”
“The owner of this IP cluster is—”
I stopped for a beat.
“Honh Vien Capital.”
The whole hall exploded. Flash lights flash wildly. The reporter almost stood up. Acquisition fails... so hire a hacker to steal? This is no longer competition. This is illegal.
“Based on the totality of the evidence.”
I raised my voice, directly pressing down on the chaos.
“I, on behalf of the Bright Faculty of Tri Neng, officially declare.”
"First, we will immediately report to the authorities and prosecute Hoang Vien Capital and related individuals for the crime of violating trade secrets."
"Second, we will file a civil lawsuit, demanding compensation for all economic and reputational damages. The amount of compensation requested is... one billion."
"Third, we will send a complaint to the regulatory agency, requesting a comprehensive investigation of violations in Hoanh Vien Capital's investment and M&A activities."
Every sentence I say... is like a punch straight to the opponent's face.
“Sang Khoa Tri Nang is a technology company.”
“We respect every competitor who follows the rules.”
“But we… are not afraid of any wolves breaking the rules.”
“This war… was initiated by Meng Fei and Hong Yuan.”
“So how does it end…”
“I will decide.”
“I'm done, thank you.”
I turned around and left the stage. Don't ask any questions. Leaving behind... a boiling hall, enough to stir up public opinion. I returned to the office. Tieu Ha immediately stepped forward.
“Miss Khuong… you… you are so amazing!”
Tieu Ha looked at me, her eyes almost glowing with admiration. I just shook my head slightly and walked to the glass door. This… is just the beginning. Manh Phi's counterattack... will definitely come very quickly. Sure enough, my phone rang. The screen displays the caller's name. I picked up the phone. On the other end of the line was a voice with suppressed anger, cold to the core.
“Khuong Nhien, you really think Can you win against me by doing that?”
“You dragging my father into this… is the stupidest decision of your life.”
I denounce Hoanh Vien Capital, what does it have to do with Manh Quoc Dong? I didn't have time to think clearly... Her next words made me feel like I was falling straight into a cold abyss.
“Forgot to tell you, the patent file of ‘Khai Minh Software’ that year… my father was only the second co-inventor.”
“The leader… is your father.”
“Khuong Van Bo.”
My mind exploded. My father… is the first named? No way. If the patent belongs to my father... Then how did Meng Guo Dong steal the company and technology that year? Everything… was completely unreasonable.
“What… do you mean?”
My voice was hoarse from the shock. Manh Phi laughed coldly, full of contempt.
"I mean, Khuong Nhien, you and your father who died early... are exactly the same innocent."
“You think you know my weakness, but actually… you're just walking into another trap I've prepared.”
“What happened that year… was not at all what you thought.”
“It wasn't my father who betrayed him.”
“But your father, at the last minute, in order to retain his pitiful stake… proactively cooperated with my father and kicked the entire remaining founding team out.”
“That patent… is proof of the ‘cooperation’ between the two of them.”
“He is a coward. A traitor.”
“My father is the one who cleans up the mess and keeps the company.”
“And now you, using this petty cyber attack to attack us... only makes people dig up old stories.”
“By then, everyone will know... Khuong Nhien, you are the daughter of a traitor.”
“Do you think… does your team, your investors… still believe in you?”
Every word she said... was like a whip hitting the deepest part of me. My father… is a traitor? This is definitely a lie to escape.
“Do you think I would believe those lies?”
I forced myself to calm down.
“Believe it or not… it's not up to you to decide.”
“The evidence… will speak for me.”
“Just enjoy the last bit of glory.”
“Very soon… you will lose everything.”
Having finished speaking, she hung up the phone. I stood still, still holding the phone in my hand. Cold from the bone marrow. Manh Phi's tone... was too certain. Doesn't look like lying. Could it be that... what happened back then really had a hidden meaning? I can't let her sway me. This is psychological warfare. She is trying to destroy me from the inside. I took a deep breath, forcing all my chaotic thoughts down. What needs to be done now... is to find evidence. Prove she's lying. Prove that my father... is innocent. But it's been so many years... Where should I look? Professor Vuong? No, he is just an investor, not involved in internal operations. He knew the result… but not the entire process. What he left behind. A thought flashed in my head like lightning. Old house. After my father passed away, I kept all of his relics there. I never dared to go back. Never dared to open it. The answer lies there.
