Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — House 5 Million Yuan, Selling for 50 Thousand? I Sue My Husband's Family
“What happened?”
I recounted everything, from the 5,000,000 yuan house being sold for 50,000 yuan, to the forged contract, and then the whole family moving in for half a month. After hearing this, the young man was still stunned.
“50,000 yuan to buy a 5,000,000 yuan house?”
He turned to look at his mother-in-law.
“Are you telling the truth?”
She was silent. The older man picked up the fake contract, looked it over, then looked at me.
“You bought the house for 5,000,000 yuan?”
“One-time payment, before marriage, complete contract and transfer.”
He nodded, then looked back at his mother-in-law.
“Did you sign this?”
She shook her head.
“It's not me, it's self-signed!”
I took out my phone.
“This is a hallway camera, they used my spare key to get into the house.”
He finished reading it, looked at the contract again, and then laughed.
"I've been working for twenty years. This is the first time I've seen 50,000 yuan buy a 5,000,000 yuan house. This is no different than robbery."
The air in the room immediately froze. Ly My My sat down on the ground. Mother-in-law leaned against the wall, her legs were as soft as noodles. Trieu Dai Dung stood next to him, his face pale. The old policeman looked at her, his voice serious.
“This is not a small matter, please come with us for a trip.”
Mother-in-law panicked.
“I'm not going!”
“If you don't go, you have to go.”
My mother-in-law looked at me, tears began to fall, her voice trembled so much that she could no longer maintain her previous toughness.
“Qien Thien, I beg you, don't let the police arrest me.”
I didn't answer, I just stood there looking at her, my eyes calm as if I was looking at a stranger. The young police officer turned to Ly My My and Trieu Dai Dung, his voice decisive.
“You two also got in the car together.”
Ly My My immediately burst into tears, tears flowing freely.
“Sister-in-law, I really didn't know my mother forged her signature!”
"Don't know?"
"Don't know!"
“So when you were at my house, you didn't see anything wrong?”
Ly My My was speechless, her lips moved but she couldn't say anything. The police put the three of them in the car. Before the car door closed, my mother-in-law turned her head to look at me, her eyes full of resentment.
“Tong Thien Thien, you are so cruel.”
I curled my lips slightly.
“Mom, all of this… you taught me.”
Coming out of the police station, it was already afternoon, the statement recording was finished, the police let them go first to wait for the next announcement. Ly My My was still unable to walk, so she had to let Trieu Dai Dung help her, but her mother-in-law just turned around and glared at me before remaining silent. I think this matter will wait until court to end. But the next morning, the doorbell rang. Open the door, it's my father-in-law. He stood in front of the door, carrying a bag of fruit, looking a bit confused.
“Qien Thien, dad came to visit you.”
I moved aside. He walked in, put the bag of fruit on the table, rubbed his hands together as if he didn't know where to start.
“Qien Thien, about your mother… I apologize on her behalf.”
“Dad, sit down.”
He sat down, bowed his head for a long time before continuing.
"I know you're angry, but you also know how we are, our mouth is hard but our heart is soft."
I laughed.
"Soft? Is she selling your house called soft?"
“Just a moment of confusion.”
“On a whim, sell a 5,000,000 yuan house for 50,000 yuan?”
He couldn't say anything more. As soon as the atmosphere in the room became heavier, the doorbell rang again. Opening the door, it was the second aunt, mother-in-law's younger sister.
“Qien Thien, auntie came to visit you.”
She walked in, saw her father-in-law also present, and paused a bit.
“Is your brother-in-law coming too?”
Father-in-law nodded.
