Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — I Am The Real Princess, My Brother Is The Fake
At first we thought that the bandits in the mountains were born due to lax supervision. Now think again. There's someone in the palace who doesn't want me to return. Elder Pham reported to me outside the banquet door.
“Princess, the prince of the Wolf Clan is coming soon, I need to go arrange the banquet, there can be absolutely no mistakes.”
The elder bowed and said. The banquet every ten years is approaching, and the princes and nobles have gathered. Even the prince of the Wolf Clan next door will attend. The elders of the fox clan are all good at calculating and competing for fame and fortune. After his father left the palace, only Elder Pham was trustworthy, of course he was so busy that his feet couldn't touch the ground.
“Elder, go ahead.”
After saying that, I turned around and walked into the hospital. There were so many people at the banquet, I just wanted to find a corner to avoid looking at them. As soon as he sat down, Bach Viet led a group of princes to surround him.
"In a case like this, you still deserve to come? What a disgrace to our fox clan!"
He spoke from above, looking down, and laughter immediately rang out around him.
"A Viet, this sister doesn't look like Minh Nhi at all, is she really a twin?"
“That's right, at first glance... it's so ordinary.”
I adjusted my sleeves and looked up at them.
"You guys are truly free. Whether I am a princess or not, I am still a guest personally brought home by Elder Pham.
You claim to be aristocratic and polite, yet you are so disrespectful to distinguished guests. In comparison, it's not as good as the A Hoang dog I raise among the people - at least when I see guests, I still know how to wag my tail to say hello." As soon as that sentence ended, the young men's faces were as gray as ash. Bach Viet angrily shouted: "Brave! How dare you be disrespectful to the princess!" He shouted so loudly that the entire banquet immediately fell silent. All eyes turned to me - this ordinary face, this weak spiritual energy.
“Who is this?”
“I heard she's a wandering princess or something?”
"Are they twins from the same mother as Princess Minh? Why is it so different? Maybe it's fake?"
"The king hasn't returned yet, who knows what's true! And yet you dare to argue with the crown prince, are you tired of living!"
The whispers at the ladies' party were like stinging in my ears, but my ears were extremely sensitive, every word was heard. I originally intended to wait for my father to return before deciding. Who would have thought that this Bach Viet guy would be stupid enough to get in the way.
"You haven't entered the jade butterfly, you're just a commoner, disobeying the crown prince is a serious crime!"
An old man wearing a white robe stepped out from the crowd, obviously standing on Bach Viet's side.

“Felony?” I raised my eyebrows, "Dare to ask Elder, what is the law?"
The white-clothed old man choked, then became so angry that he raised his staff.
"Disrespectful to the crown prince is an act of blasphemy, according to the law..."
“What should I do?”
I took a half step forward, forcing him to reflexively step back.
“Is it a punishment of three days in Cold Ice Prison, or is it a matter of cutting off the tail of the lake and bringing it to public display?”
I glanced at the silver silk pattern on the hem of his shirt — the judicial elder, the one in charge of punishment. Yet he could not state the specific law. The nobles in the palace, some turned a blind eye, some looked confused, no one refuted his mistake. This group of people, all day long, are arrogant and arrogant, looking down on civilians. They can't even remember the rules they themselves set up, what can they say about protecting the common people? It is understandable that the Fox clan has fallen to this point. You don't Okay, so let me teach.
“First thing: The people of Thanh Khau, regardless of high or low, are protected by the law and must obey the law.”
“Second article: Thanh Khau Law, only the king and the high priest have the right to add or remove changes, other people must have the signature of the elders' association and be approved by the king to make changes.”
“Third article: In Qingqiu's internal environment, whether royal or common people, if there are legal disputes, they must be based on the law, and must not use their identity to distinguish between right and wrong.”
Every word is clear and resounds loudly. I continued reading word by word: "The twelfth article of the law..."
“That's enough!” The judicial elder shouted loudly, "What exactly do you want to do?"
I smiled, but there was no warmth in my eyes.
“I'm afraid the elder has forgotten, the twelfth law clearly states - people who have not yet entered the jade butterfly are considered commoners of the fox clan. If they do not plot treason, the royal family penalty cannot be applied.
Dare to ask the elder, what words did I say that constitute treason? He slammed it on the table, causing half of the wine to spill out.
“If you read the law in front of the whole clan, do you want to make people laugh at Thanh Khau because I have an elder and have to let a girl read the law instead?”
“The elder spoke harshly. Perhaps the elderly have poor memory, I'm just helping to repeat.
Anyway, if the law makes just one mistake, it can release the wrong evil person, or... unjustly wrong a good person. I emphasized the last few words, and out of the corner of my eye, I saw him tightening his grip on the staff. I conveyed: "Waiting for your father to return, I want to report - the elders have worked hard for many years, and should rest. If you don't have enough energy and keep trying to take over and miss important events in the clan, wouldn't you be disappointing the king and the clan?" He was so angry that his beard stood up, but he was muffled by the murderous intent in my eyes. The whole palace was silent, no one expected that this "wild breed" not only dared to oppose the elders, but also knew the law, every sentence directly attacked their dignity and power.
"A judicial elder who has been in charge of prison for hundreds of years, surely understands the taboo against 'using power to oppress people'?"
I pressed step by step, "If everything is decided by power, then the one hundred and thirty-six laws, it's better to burn them all." His face was as red as pig's liver, his staff stomped on the yellow brick and made a "dong dong" sound, but still couldn't say a word.
"Today's banquet is so noisy, what are you doing?" A gentle voice rang out.
I raised my head to look, only to see an incomparably handsome man. When I saw that face clearly, my heart suddenly tightened. Nine brothers? Your Highness Nine? Could it be that you are the prince of the Wolf clan?
