Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — I Don't Need This Family Anymore
"No! Can't sell!" he immediately objected.
I turned back to look at him.
“Why can't it be sold?”
“Sold… where are we?”
“That's your business.” I said, "Now either sell the house to save people, or watch your mother die in the hospital."
“You choose it yourself.”
Tu Ve Quoc looked at me, his lips trembling, unable to say a word. Perhaps in his whole life he never thought that one day he would have to choose for himself. Such a cruel choice. I didn't pay attention to him anymore and turned to the broker.
"This house is about sixty square meters, central area, old house. Market price is about one million two."
"I decide, one million. Can you sign today?"
“One million?” The broker's eyes lit up, "This price is very attractive! I will contact you immediately!"
“Wait!” Tu Ve Quoc rushed forward and grabbed my hand.
"Tieu Tham! You can't do that! It's my whole life!"
I pushed his hand away.
“When you saw that I had no money for medical treatment, why didn't you think that I was also your whole life?”
I pulled out my phone and called Tu Duong. The bell rang for a long time before he heard it.
“What is it?” annoying voice.
"Tu Ve Quoc plans to sell his old house to treat his grandmother's illness." I said.
"What?!" The other end of the line immediately exploded, "He dares? That house will later be Khai's!"
"I'm at the brokerage company, a customer is coming. If you want to keep the house, bring thirty thousand in cash right away."
“I… where did I get so much money!”
“Then stop talking.”
I hung up. I know, Tu Duong will definitely call Luu Ngoc Tran. The drama... has just begun. Sure enough, less than half an hour. The door of the brokerage company was kicked open by a strong kick from the outside. Luu Ngoc Tran and Tu Duong rushed in like two mad cows.
"Tu Ve Quoc! You have no conscience! Do you dare to sell my house?!"
Luu Ngoc Tran rushed in front of him, pointed straight at his face and cursed. Tu Duong snatched the contract from my hand and tore it apart in a few seconds.
“Whoever dares to sell my house, I risk my life with that person!” he screamed, his eyes bloodshot.
The brokers panicked, some hid in the corner, some did not dare to breathe loudly. I crossed my arms and stood looking. Like watching a bad play.
“Luu Ngoc Tran, please look clearly.” I spoke up, my voice light.
"On the red book, the name Tu Ve Quoc is written. This house's family name is Tu, and has nothing to do with your Liu family name."
“Nonsense!” she put her hands on her hips.
"This is marital property! If he wants to sell, he must have my consent!"
“Then go sue.” I said.
"By the time grandma finishes suing, the grass on grandma's grave will already be three meters high."
One sentence was like a bucket of cold water thrown straight at her face. Luu Ngoc Tran was stunned. Yes, litigation takes time. But people in the hospital... can't wait.
“Tu Ve Quoc, I ask you one last time.” she turned to him.
“Do you sell this house or not?”
Tu Ve Quoc looked at her, then at me. His face struggled to the point of distortion. Finally, he gritted his teeth. One word seemed to drain all his life's strength. Luu Ngoc Tran's face immediately turned pale. Maybe in her whole life, she never thought about it. That cowardly man... dared to say "no" in front of me.
“Okay… okay… okay!” She said three times in a row, her eyes full of resentment.
“Tu Ve Quoc, you forced me!”
She suddenly reached into her pocket. Pull out a fruit knife. Place it straight on your neck.
“If you dare to sign today, I will die right here!”
The scream rang out, causing chaos in the whole room.
"From National Guard! Put it down!”
“Ngoc Tran! Are you crazy?!”
“Don't come near me!”
Knife to the neck, a thin trail of blood immediately appeared. Tu Duong rushed forward in panic. She screamed, backing away.
“Whoever comes again, I'll die!”
The whole room was in chaos. No one dared to move. It's just me, standing still. Cold look. I pulled out my phone. Turn on video recording. Then press call 110.
“Hello, police.”
“Address XX, real estate brokerage company.”
"There are people carrying knives causing trouble, intending to commit suicide, and at the same time threatening the safety of others."
“Please send someone immediately.”
My voice is not loud. But in that chaotic space, it was terrifyingly clear. Luu Ngoc Tran holds a knife. His eyes looked like he couldn't believe it. All her life she believed one thing. Bad things in the house... must not be brought out. My own hand. Smash it.
