Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — I Fake Pregnancy to Test My Husband's Love
One sound, two sounds, urgent but strong. I know, it's To Tinh coming. She is the only support in this plan of mine. I turned off the water, casually used a towel to dry my body, and changed into clean clothes. Opening the door, To Tinh's worried face appeared before my eyes. Her eyes passed me, seeing the large puddle on the living room floor, her pupils suddenly shrank.
“Van Van…”
Her voice was filled with pain. The next second, she rushed forward and hugged me tightly.
“That bastard! He really did that!”
To Tinh was so angry that his whole body was shaking. But I was unusually calm, just gently patting her back.
“It's over, Tinh Tinh.”
“No, it's just begun.”
I pushed her away, my eyes determined.
“Help me.”
To Tinh looked at the determination in my eyes and nodded heavily.
“Okay!”
The next time, the two of us were like two high-speed machines, acting quickly and effectively. To Tinh went to the spare bedroom and pulled out two large suitcases that I had packed a long time ago. Inside were all my papers, valuables, and a few memories I couldn't bear to throw away. Of course, now they're all trash. And I went back to the bedroom and turned on my phone. The album is full of photos of me and Giang Than together. From immaturity in college, to sweetness when married, then to flatness afterward. Each photo records my past stupidity. Without any emotion, I pressed “select all”, then “delete”. The phone trash is the final burial place of this emotional episode. I only kept a few “special” things. The screenshots of the wire transfers Giang Than sent to An Nha, 5200, 1314, each number seems to be laughing at the unreality of my official wife. There are also their vague chats, the words "sleep well, honey", the words "drink lots of warm water". I accidentally saw it once, and at that time I was so heartbroken that I couldn't breathe, and I even fooled myself into thinking that they were just close colleagues. Looking back now, it was nothing more than a lie I made up. I sorted through this evidence, backing up one copy in the cloud and one copy on USB. Having finished everything, I stood up and finally looked around this house I had lived in for three years. This place once contained all my good fantasies about the future. Now all that remains is desolation everywhere and desolate hearts.
“Van Van, it's all done.” To Tinh pulled her suitcase over.
I nodded, picked up my coat from the sofa and put it on.
“Let's go.”
I didn't hesitate and walked out of this door that had imprisoned me for three years. The door behind me made a "click" sound. Also completely closed my past.

The hospital hallway is filled with the smell of disinfectant. Giang Than sat on the bench outside the hospital room, feeling both physically and mentally tired. Anya's test results are back, but it's just that excitement combined with a bit of fatigue resulted in light bleeding. The doctor told her to lie down and rest and keep her emotions stable. There's nothing to worry about. Giang Than breathed a sigh of relief, but followed by an inexplicable irritation. He kept watch in front of Anya's hospital bed, watched her receive fluids, and heard her use a weak voice to apologize and thank her over and over again.
“Brother Than, today I'm causing you trouble again Already."
“If it wasn't for you, I would definitely be with Lam Van right now.”
The more she understood this, the more Giang Than felt he owed her. He enjoyed Anya's eyes of complete admiration and dependence. This makes him feel like he is a hero who conquers the sky and the earth, a responsible good man who can support the sky for weak women. He had not felt this feeling for a long time on Lam Van's body. Lam Van is too independent, too strong, even a bit tough. She handled everything big and small at home, never letting him worry. Over time, he took all of these things for granted. He even forgot that she was also a little girl who knew how to be a babe and depend on him. Each bottle of infusion flowed down, time passed minute by minute, second by second. Finally, Giang Than also remembered the wife he threw behind his head. He took out his phone and called me. A cold female voice came from the receiver: "The number you just dialed is currently unanswered." He frowned, an unknown fire rising in his heart. What childish behavior are you acting on again? He was patient and sent another text message.
“Don't make trouble anymore, I'll come back after we've handled the matter here, you're important.”
He is sure that as long as he takes out the "child", Lam Van will definitely compromise. It's been like this ever since.
