Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — I'm A Little Sister But My Whole Family Is The Big Boss
The back of my hand hurts like it's being burned. The phone followed a perfect curve, flying from the sixth floor hallway downwards. I was stunned, quickly reached out my hand to follow - but only took a shot into space. Frowning, I coldly looked towards the culprit. "It's just a phone? I'll pay you back." She sneered contemptuously, her eyes full of provocation. Behind her — Co Tam also slightly raised her lips, showing a vague and elusive smile. It's ridiculous to the extreme. If I let people step on my head today, then I'm no longer Pho Vi. I grabbed Tien Noan Noan's collar, yanked her close to the railing, my eyes were cold, the corner of my lips raised dangerously: "Have you forgotten? Am I the type to be easily teased?" I clearly saw the emotions in her eyes change from stress to fear, my hand pushed her head off the railing. A cool breeze blew past, her hair fluttering. She struggled, but I controlled her very well and couldn't escape. Co Tam took two steps forward, her eyes red, chokingly said: "Vi Vi, don't be like that... say it slowly if you have something to say, don't let your heart be unbalanced—" "I don't have an unbalanced heart." I calmly interrupted, my voice slow but full of warning: "The Pho family is much better to me than the Co family." Co Tam froze slightly, but did not take any further steps. Tien Noan Noan continued to struggle, her face turned red: "Pho Vi... do you want to be expelled?! Let me go... cough..." I leaned close to her ear, my lips slightly raised, whispering: "The sixth floor is not very high. Do you guess... will you die if you fall down?" Tien Noan Nuan's whole body stiffened, not daring to move at all. The people following Co Tam were also afraid to step forward. I raised my eyebrows, my voice was still gentle but even more threatening: "Don't tease me in the future. After all, someone who walks barefoot isn't afraid of someone who wears shoes." “Vi Vi, don't do anything foolish…” Co Tam still stood there, keeping the same hypocritical face that I found disgusting. I know her mind well - if I really pushed Tien Noan Noan down today, she would definitely not be heartbroken, and would even be secretly happy. After all, the Co family and the Pho family now only have her daughter left, one side is a blood relationship, the other side is a "close sister" for more than ten years - how can they lose? I nodded slightly, pretending to agree with her words, then calmly suggested: "Then I'll bother you, Co Tam, write your best friend an apology letter. After writing it, I'll let you go." The space suddenly became silent. I raised my eyebrows, a bit surprised: "Hmm? You two have such a close relationship, you don't even have the heart to write an apology letter? While she always shows up for you." “Co Tam…” Tien Noan Noan's voice was choked and she weakly called out. After all, they were long-time friends — and I knew her fatal fear of heights. When Co Tam heard the call, her lips turned white and trembled slightly - as if she was suffering extreme humiliation. I smirked, my eyes full of provocation: "Write?" The humiliation I have suffered today — I must personally repay it to you, little by little. Seeming to have made up his mind, Co Tam finally raised his head. Her eyes looked towards the end of the hallway — and then... tears suddenly rolled down her cheeks: "Eldest brother..." Elder? My heart suddenly sank a beat. I immediately turned around Looking towards the end of the hallway — there was a figure wearing a perfectly tailored suit, slowly walking this way. 9 Pho Luat pursed his lips, looked at Co Tam, who was burying her face in his elbow and sobbing. The light reflected on the lenses of his glasses made his face dim, dark, and expressionless. My hand loosened, Tien Noan Noan immediately pulled away, stood up, her eyes full of surprise looking over there. “Co Tam, your eldest brother… is also Deputy Luat?” The girls standing next to him also murmured with excitement: "Oh my god, Pho Luat is even more handsome in real life than on the internet!" “Noan Noan, aren't you planning on asking Deputy Luat to take on that case?” I don't understand why they react this way. Her arms drooped, her fingers curled slightly, and an unprecedented shame rose in her heart. That's it. My efforts to build up an image of being kind and polite all these days... are now shattered like glass. Before, just having Pho Duc hate me was enough, but now with Pho Luat also hating me... how am I supposed to live? Co Tam was still clutching Pho Luat's sleeve, crying pitifully, not forgetting to sob and explain: "Eldest brother... don't misunderstand. Vi Vi didn't bully me... I just... I miss you so much..." Me: "..." This sentence, if not a standard example of 'having a habit of being startled', then what else is it? Pho Luat bowed his head and glanced at Co Tam, then withdrew his hand from hers, his voice calm: "I am Vi Vi's brother." Co Tam was stunned, forgot to cry, and stood frozen in place. After a while, he timidly asked a question: "Eldest brother... are you still angry with me?" Pho Luat didn't bother to answer, he strode forward and stood in front of me. You're too tall, I'm only as tall as your shoulders. I licked my lips, slightly embarrassed and averted my eyes. “Little sister, are you being bullied by anyone?” A gentle voice rang from the top of my head. I was a bit stunned - replaying the whole incident in my head, but I didn't expect the first question Pho Luat would ask was this. “Brother, how could she be bullied?” Pho Duc came from the hallway, gave a tissue to Co Tam, then glared at me in annoyance: "We all saw it, didn't we? Pho Vi is too arrogant to say anything." Pho Luat tilted his head to look over, the light on the lenses immediately became cold. Pho Duc was immediately silent. My eyes glanced at Co Tam again - she was still holding on to Pho Duc's hand, crying. I snorted coldly in my heart — what a stupid mind. I gently poked Pho Luat's arm, raised my eyes and obediently blinked a few times: "It's just that they dropped my phone..." Pho Luat's warm hand gently placed it on my head: "It's good that I'm not injured." “Are you sure you're not hurt?” A cold laugh rang out from the top of the stairs, followed by the sound of high heeled footsteps. Trieu Mat gently flipped her long curly hair and glanced at Tien Noan Nuan with disdain: "Normally, hanging out with a bunch of rats and snakes is boring enough, now you dare to bully my people while I'm not around?" Her people? What is this kind of boss talk? I couldn't help but mumble: "We're just friends eating at the same table..." Trieu Mat glared at me, then turned to look at Pho Luat: "Extract the camera and hold responsible, okay?" Pho Luat nodded: "I was also planning to do that." Two gentle sentences, which clearly schedule the entire processing process. Deputy Luat turned around to call electricity. Tien Noan Nuan and the rest were like lambs waiting to be slaughtered, not daring to move even a little bit. After all, their words and actions are all related to the family's honor, just like running away from the sun. I looked not far away again - Pho Duc was still coaxing Co Tam in a low voice. “Pho Vi, you really hid it well.” Trieu Mat suddenly leaned against the railing next to me and said nothing. “What am I hiding?” "Hmm, Pho Duc is your father's brother, so stop it. You dare to lie to me and say your eldest brother is just an 'ordinary lawyer'?" "Am I wrong? Isn't my eldest brother a lawyer?" Trieu Mat glanced at me, wishing he could turn his eyes away: "He's a Deputy Lawyer! Big brother in the capital's legal world, there's never been a case he didn't win. Even the mayor has to respect him three times." Big brother precepts? I was a little confused, but unconsciously looked at Pho Luat - he had just hung up the phone and walked over, his body was tall and his figure was impeccable. This is… my eldest brother? "Let's go." Pho Luat glanced at the watch on his hand and said softly: "Let's handle this a little bit." 10 In the principal's office. On the big screen, just after showing the scene in the sixth floor hallway, the atmosphere immediately fell into a strange silence. The principal coughed softly and pushed the newly brewed cup of tea towards Pho Luat: "This... is just a child's joke, just one apology and it's over." The general manager of the Tien family sitting next to him also smiled flatteringly: "Yes, yes, I will definitely compensate fully, not because of this small matter that will affect the peace..." "Children?" Pho Luat lightly tapped his fingers on the rosewood table top, glanced at them, and smiled faintly: "If I remember correctly... you're already an adult, right? And adults are - criminally responsible." "It's not that bad... there's no need to be so serious..." Trieu Mat snorted softly, stroking the curly hair on her shoulder and smirking: "Several people bully the same person, it's obviously school violence, right?" Pho Luat took a sip of tea and nodded: "That's right." “Intentionally destroying other people's property — can you be detained?” "Maybe." Just through a few back and forth questions and answers, the incident was neatly determined. “It's not… it's not me…” Tien Noan Noan's face showed panic. Co Tam stood beside, panicked, eyes filled with tears, chokingly said: "Eldest brother... don't be angry, it's just a misunderstanding... it's my fault, it's my fault that Noan Noan-" "That's right, eldest brother, it's just a quarrel, don't make it too tense..." Pho Duc also spoke up to help.
