Chapter 10
Chapter 10 — I Replaced My Sister In The Recruitment Palace, But She Didn't Know That The Queen Was My Sister
I smiled.
“Congratulations, sister.”
She took my hand.
“Where do you plan to go later?”
“Open a medical shop.”
“In the capital?”
“First we have to return to Medicine King Cup.”
Ta Phu Loan saw me off to the palace gate. She adjusted the cloak around my shoulders. Just like ten years ago in Medicine King Cup.
“Are you really not staying?”
I smiled and asked:
“Senior sister, you can't bear to leave your sister?”
She smiled faintly.
“This palace is only afraid after you go out.”
“Another ten years without even sending a letter.”
I raised my hand.
“Not this time.”
She looked at me. Eye sockets are slightly red.
“In the future, if the Lam family still comes to look for you.”
“Don't be soft-hearted.”
I nodded.
“I won't.”
She said again:
“If anyone bullies me.”
“Just send me a letter.”
I burst out laughing.
“Sister is the Queen.”
“Not the female bandit leader.”
Ta Phu Loan replied faintly:
“It could be.”
I laughed until I couldn't stand it. Outside the palace gate. Thanh Ha had been waiting since early. Next to her were two large chests. It is gold and silver awarded by the Queen Mother. It's a medicinal herb given by the Queen. There was also some snacks that the Crown Prince secretly stuffed in. Khuong Dung curiously opened it and took a look.
“Your Highness the Crown Prince still giving you breakfast?”
“Medical examination fee.”
She was surprised.
“Is the royal medical fee that simple?”
“Your monthly allowance is limited.”
Khuong Dung laughed so much that she couldn't stand up straight. Just as he stepped onto the carriage, a familiar voice suddenly came from behind. I turned my head back. Lam Thanh Nguyet stood next to the palace. She wore a pure white dress, without a single piece of jewelry on her head. In just a few short days, she seemed to have become very emaciated. Thanh Ha immediately blocked in front of me.
“What else do you want to do?”
Lam Thanh Nguyet shook her head.
“I just want to say a few words to you.”
We get off the car. She looked at me, her eyes gradually turning red.
“Before, I always felt like you had nothing.”
“There is no mother, no loving father, and no good relationship.”
“So every time I steal your things, I always feel like it's no big deal.”
“Anyway, I can't keep it.”
I calmly listened to her. She smiled bitterly.
“But now I know that the person who really has nothing is me.”
"People want to get married without me."
“My mother only sees me as a chess piece.”
“The people I thought could pave the way for me, it turns out they all just wanted to use me in exchange for benefits.”
She raised her head to look at me.
“Lin Zhaoning, sorry.”
“I heard it.”
A glimmer of hope flashed in her eyes.
“So, sister…”
I interrupted her.
“But I do not forgive.”
Her face was pale.
“You were afraid of going into the palace, so you pushed me in instead.”
"You were afraid of taking the blame, so you pushed your mother away."
"You're afraid you won't be able to marry anyone in the future, so you came to me to ask for forgiveness."
“Lam Thanh Nguyet, it's not like you don't know you're wrong.”
“I just choose to protect myself first every time.”
Tears fell from her eyes. We continue to say:
“How you live in the future is your business.”
“Don't come looking for me anymore.”
Having finished speaking, I boarded the carriage. Thanh Ha let down the car curtain. The carriage slowly moved. Lam Thanh Nguyet's figure was left behind. Khuong Dung asked in a low voice:
“I'm really not sad Star?"
We look out the window. She was stunned.
“But being sad doesn't mean you have to turn around.”
Three months later, I returned to Medicine King Cup. Master is old. As soon as he saw me, the first thing he said was:
“It's okay not to die.”
I knelt down and bowed my head. The person helped me stand up, his voice full of hate.
“What are you crying for?”
"Since you're home, let's go dry the medicine."
“Is raising a child in a cup for ten years a waste of time?”
Thanh Ha stood next to her, eyes wide open. I smiled and rolled up my sleeves. The days in Duoc Vuong Coc are very quiet. Early in the morning, go up the mountain to pick medicine. In the afternoon, dry the remedy. At night, see the sick of the villagers. Occasionally, letters will arrive from the palace. Ta Phu Loan's letter is very short.
“The Crown Prince has taken the medicine.”
“Too is sick.”
“Recently, the Emperor seems to be obedient.”
The Crown Prince's letter was even shorter.
“Miss Lam, can the medicine reduce the royal lotus?”
I replied to him:
“Impossible.”
Khuong Dung's letter is the most exciting. She said she opened a breakfast restaurant.
