Chapter 4
Chapter 4 — In the Sea of People, I Only Remember You
Ta Canh Hanh stepped in front of me, bowed his head and looked at me, his eyes filled with emotions I couldn't understand.
“Because you fed me.”
I was stunned.
"Ly Tang Tang, don't you realize? Lo Vu is aiming at me."
“Why?”
“Because…” He took a step forward, his breath enveloping me. “He feels I took away the most important thing from him.”
The most important thing? I pointed at myself in bewilderment: "Me?" Ta Canh Hanh looked at me like I was an idiot and flicked my forehead, clearly painful.
“Not only blind, but also slow to understand.”
“He's afraid you'll escape his control, afraid you'll discover there are people out there better than him, like me.”
“…Does this count as narcissism?”
Ta Canh Hanh didn't pay attention to my sarcasm and said seriously:
"Now that you know, what are you going to do next? Continue to act stupid, or..."
“Excellent communication.”
I uttered two words, decisively. Although I am cowardly and blind, I hate betrayal and being taken advantage of the most. Turning my trust into a joke almost killed me. This kind of childhood sweetheart, it's okay if you don't have it. Ta Canh Hanh seemed very satisfied with my reaction, the corners of his lips curled up slightly.
“Okay, if you want to break ties, then you have to do it thoroughly.”
“How?”
He suddenly reached out and put his arm around my shoulder, pulling me into his arms.
“From tomorrow, cooperate with me to perform a play.”
“What drama?”
“Let him know that not only did he lose you, but he also angered someone he couldn't touch.”
Ta Canh Hanh bowed his head, leaned close to my ear, and whispered:
“Tang Tang, welcome to the Vengeance Alliance.”

Ta Canh Hanh's "revenge" plan is extremely simple and violent. Step one: like the picture with the shadow. The next morning, Ta Canh Hanh rode his shiny motorbike and waited right in front of my house. He also carried a bag of hot steamed buns.
“Get in the car.”
My mother was watering flowers in the yard. When she saw this scene, her eyes widened.
"Tang Tang, who is this? So handsome!"
“Mom, this is my classmate, Ta Canh Hanh.”
Ta Canh Hanh took off his helmet, revealing his face in the style of "causing disaster to the country", smiling brightly at my mother.
"Hello aunt, I am Tang Tang's creditor."
My mother: “?” I also: "??"
“Tang Tang owes you a favor, and is spending his whole life to repay the debt.”
The flower watering can in my mother's hand fell to the ground. I quickly covered his mouth: "What nonsense are you talking about!" Ta Canh Hanh pulled my hand down, took the opportunity to hold it in my palm, and stuffed the helmet in for me.
“Let's go, your salary will be deducted if you're late.”
When he goes to school, he acts even more. During class, he helped me shield me from the teacher's eyes, and during breaks, he took me to the cafeteria. Even when I went to the bathroom, he stood outside like a doorman. The whole school was rumored that Ta Canh Hanh was "stupid" by my protection, and not only did he not hate me, but he also liked me. Lo Vu's face became worse and worse. But he is a person who is very good at pretending, he is clearly angry to death, but on the surface he still seems generous.
“Tang Tang, is Ta Canh Hanh threatening you?”
At recess, Lo Vu stopped me with a worried look on his face: "If it's because of hospital bills, I can think of a way to help you, don't resent yourself because of that." If it was before, I would have been emotional want to cry. But now, looking into those seemingly sincere eyes, I only feel disgusted.
“No resentment at all.”
I smiled and deliberately said a little louder: "Ta Canh Hanh treated me very well, and also taught me how to recognize people's faces."
“Teaching you to accept people?”
“That's right.”
At that moment, Ta Canh Hanh returned from playing football, drenched in sweat, twirling the basketball. Seeing Lo Vu blocking me, he threw the ball hard on the ground.
“Thud!”
The basketball grazed Lo Vu's pant leg and hit the wall. Lo Vu was startled. Ta Canh Hanh strode forward and put his arm around my shoulder as if declaring sovereignty.
"What? Lo's classmate also wants to learn how to recognize people?"
He lowered his head to look at me, his eyes immediately softened (pretended).
“Tang Tang, tell him who I am.”
I held back my laughter and pointed at his nose:
"You are Ta Canh Hanh, my creditor, and also... my big brother now."
Ta Canh Hanh raised his eyebrows, clearly not very satisfied with the word "big brother", but did not object. He looked at Lo Vu.
"Do you hear me? From now on, stay away from my people."
Lo Vu gritted his teeth and clenched his fist until it made a "crack" sound.
“Tang Tang, are you really avoiding me because of an outsider?”
I looked at him, my voice calm:
"Lo Vu, there are some things you know in your heart. In the end, who sees who is an outsider first, who sees who is an idiot first?"
Lo Vu's face changed, his eyes flashed with panic.
