"On the contrary, for you guys, the stock price chart hasn't been much 'green' this past half year, right?"

"If there is a divorce, who will the stock fluctuations affect more? It's so hard to predict."

Chu Tung Dan was speechless, his face was pale, his jawline was tense. I was too lazy to pay attention to him, smiled and gracefully got out of the car. Mrs. Chu was already waiting at the door. She wore a charcoal blue cheongsam, her hair was neatly combed, and her jade earrings accentuated her nobility and inner dignity. As soon as she saw me, she enthusiastically greeted me: "Tieu Vu is here!" I smiled and called out: "Mom." The old lady held my hand, with a hint of sadness in her eyes: "You're skinny again, are you not eating properly?"

“There are a lot of projects these days, it's okay to be busy.”

“No matter how busy you are, you still have to eat!”

She turned her head and glared at Chu Tung Dan who was following behind: "What kind of husband are you, if your wife is thin and you don't even notice, don't you know how to take good care of her?" Chu Tung Dan awkwardly smirked: "You know, Mom, she's a workaholic." The old lady snorted softly, pulled my hand and walked straight into the dining room. The Chu family had many children and grandchildren, and the banquet table was filled to capacity and was extremely bustling. Mrs. Chu sat right next to me, constantly serving me food.

“Eat this fish, it was fresh this morning, just delivered by air from Norway.”

“I let you stew this soup for four hours, so you drink a little more.”

“And this…”

The atmosphere at the party was very happy, the Chu family's descendants all respected me very much, constantly looking for topics to talk to me about. Only Chu Tung Dan sat opposite me, from beginning to end without saying a word. Mrs. Chu put down her chopsticks and gently reprimanded: "Tung Dan, what's wrong with you, why are you so silent?" Chu Tung Dan raised his head and smiled coyly: "The food is so delicious, I'm busy eating." The old lady spoke bluntly: "I heard you recently hired a secretary?" Chu Tung Dan's hand holding the chopsticks clearly stopped, he shot me a questioning look. I indifferently raised my eyes to take it, not paying any attention to his attitude. Mrs. Chu's tone was slow but bitter: "A young girl, inexperienced, with an immature way of handling work, cannot take on this position. I have already told the human resources department to fire her." Chu Tung Dan "chatted" and put his chopsticks on the table: "Mom, I am the General Director of the company, firing employees like this should have asked my opinion first." Mrs. Chu quickly and slowly picked up a chopstick of green vegetables and put them in my bowl, then turned her eyes to her son.

“Normally I'm busy with a lot of work, there's no need to waste my energy on these small shrimps.”

Chu Tung Dan opened his mouth, seemingly still wanting to say something. But the old woman's eyes suddenly became sharp. Although the tone was still as gentle as before, it carried an undeniable warning: "Tung Dan, I hope you still remember the reason why among so many candidates, you were chosen to be the heir to Chu Thi Group." Chu Tung Dan's lips moved, in the end he couldn't say a word, picked up his chopsticks, silently picked up a piece of braised pork and put it in his mouth, chewing mechanically and roughly. Mrs. Chu withdrew her eyes, smiled and spooned me a bowl of soup.

"Tieu Vu, drink the soup, it'll get cold and it won't taste good."

4 The party ended, it was ten o'clock at night. When I was about to leave, Chu Tung Dan stopped me: "Let's talk for a moment." He leaned his back against the wall, his expression relaxed, the light outlined his high, straight nose, and a thin layer of anger was suppressed between his eyebrows. I stopped walking: "Let's talk here." Chu Tung Dan took out a cigarette and clicked the lighter. The orange flame licked the filter tip, a blue smoke drifted up.
