Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — Lady Tu Muu Thien Ha
Tham Tri Y sat under the window sewing a fragrant bag, the needle tip was terrifyingly steady. Ngan Hanh cried until her voice was hoarse, "Miss, stop sewing. Who are you sewing for? For that blind Crown Prince?" Tham Tri Y cut off the thread, "It's not for him." The gatekeeper ran in, "Master, people from the Eastern Palace are here." The person who came was not Tieu Canh Hanh, but Wen Nhuoc Duong. She led her two maids, stood in the main hall of the Tham residence, bowed softly and weakly, "Uncle Tham, Mrs. Tham, sister Tri Y." Prime Minister Tham pounded the table, "Who is your uncle?" On Nhuoc Duong's eyes turned red, "I know the Tham family does not welcome me, but His Highness sent me to deliver the things." The palace presented a wooden box. Ngan Hanh opened it, inside were the items Tham Tri Y had sent to the Eastern Palace over the years. A few handwritten books, an old kite, a box of dried begonia petals, and even notes Tham Tri Y wrote to Tieu Canh Hanh when he was a child. Wen Nhuoc Duong said softly, "His Royal Highness said that since the marriage has ended, it is inconvenient to keep these things in the Eastern Palace." Ngan Hanh laughed, "It's not convenient for His Highness to keep it, so why would it be convenient for you to bring it?" On Nhuoc Duong bowed his head, "Miss Ngan Hanh, there's no need to tease me. I'm just following orders." Tham Tri Y walked out, "Miss Wen has worked hard." Wen Nhuoc Duong saw her, the soft look in his eyes faded a bit, "Miss Shen, have you read the letter from your kiss?" "Yes." "Your Highness said, if you will kneel outside the palace gate for an hour and confess your mistake to His Majesty and the Queen, Your Highness can say more pleasant words. The rumors outside will also lessen." Prime Minister Shen angrily shouted, "Tell him to go away!" Tham Tri Y stopped his father, "What if I don't kneel?" On Nhuoc Duong slowly raised his head, "Then the reputation of the Tham family's jealous coercion, I'm afraid it can't be cleaned up." Ngan Hanh scolded, "You steal other people's work and still dare to threaten me?" On Nhuoc Duong looked at Ngan Hanh, "Is this a rule of the Tham family?" Tham Tri Y pulled Ngan Hanh back, "What do you want?" Wen Ruoc Duong's smile was very light, "I want you to admit, the mountain road plan has nothing to do with the Tham family. The jade tablet was given to me voluntarily. The same goes for the cloak." Mrs. Tham's voice trembled, "You are still young, why are you so cruel?" Wen Nhuoc Duong said softly, "Madam, I don't want that either. But Miss Tham keeps staring at me and won't let me go, I'm afraid." Tham Tri Y looked at her, "What are you afraid of?" Wen Nhuoc Duong took two steps forward and said in a tone that only the two of them could hear clearly, "Afraid you might find an old manuscript?" Tham Tri Y's eyes finally changed. Wen Nhuoc Duong retreated, changing back to his innocent look, "Miss Shen, His Highness is waiting for your answer at the palace gate." Ngan Hanh grabbed the wooden box and was about to throw it, "Get out of here!" The servant behind On Nhuoc Duong immediately stepped forward, "Brave!" Prime Minister Tham coldly said, "This is the Tham residence, not the Eastern palace." On Nhuoc Duong was not afraid, "Your Majesty, your Majesty's body is not doing well these days. The court is in need of a Crown Prince to oversee the country. It is not necessarily a good thing for you to be in tension with the Crown Prince." As soon as these words ended, Prime Minister Tham's face became extremely ugly. She is reminding him that the power of the Tham family is also given by royal authority. Tham Tri Y suddenly asked, "Does Tieu Canh Hanh know that you came to the Tham residence and said these words?" Wen Nhuoc Duong did not answer but asked back, "Is it important?" Tam Tri Y nodded, "It's important. If he knows, it's because he betrayed me. If he doesn't know, it's because he's stupid." On Nhuoc Duong's face darkened, "Do you still dare to scold His Highness?" "I scolded you lightly." On Nhuoc Duong no longer pretended, "Tham Tri Y, Miss
What can you use to compete with me? Your Highness now believes me, the Queen likes me, Ninh Vien Marquis palace stands behind me. What if you have a Tham family? Your father is old, your older brothers live far outside the capital, there is only one lady like you left in the capital." Ngan Hanh rushed forward, "Try saying another sentence!" Tham Tri Y held Ngan Hanh back and took the old kite from the box. The kite frame is broken. It was a kite that ten-year-old Tieu Canh Hanh made for her. He said that if the kite's string broke, he would reconnect it for her. Tham Tri Y gave the kite to Wen Nhuoc Duong, "Bring it back." On Nhuoc Duong was stunned, "What do you mean?" "Tell him to burn it himself." On Nhuoc Duong smiled faintly, "Just pretend to be tough, you'll have to cry at night." Tham Tri Y looked at her, "On Nhuoc Duong, what you said today, I have memorized." "What about remembering?" Suddenly a young official stopped outside the door. That was the new Head of the Penal Department, Bui Than, following orders to deliver the documents to Prime Minister Tham. Halfway through listening, his face did not look good. When On Nhuoc Duong saw an outsider, he immediately changed his tone, "Miss Shen, I only have the kindness to advise you, don't misunderstand." Bui Than bowed, "Miss Wen's kindness sounds like a sharp sword." Wen Nhuoc Duong's face changed, "Bui Chuong should be careful with his words."
