Chapter 3 — Leave To Be Called By Your Own Name

I looked at it for two seconds. Then tore the page straight. Throw in the trash. The phone screen lit up again. This time it's Tieu Chu.

"Miss Duong."

"Giang Van is angry at the company."

"She told me to bring the company's documents."

"And asked the Administration Department to check your computer."

I texted back.

"Don't interfere."

Tieu Chu quickly sent a recording.

"I'm not afraid."

"Miss Duong."

"They are too much."

"Hua Lam just left a message in the group."

"Said you were transferred because you made a mistake."

"And said you were too conservative."

"Can't keep up with the market."

I just typed two words. Tieu Chu replied immediately.

"I saved it a long time ago."

I smiled. Right at that moment. The doorbell rang. I didn't move. Second bell. Then the third sound. I walked to the door. Look through god's eyes. Co Nghien Bach is standing outside. He's not wearing a suit. Hair is a bit messy. In his hand he held a paper bag. He raised his hand to knock on the door.

"Duong Duong."

"I know you're inside."

I leaned my back against the door.

"What happened today..."

"Giang Van acted too hastily."

"Open the front door."

"Let's talk."

I took out my phone. Turn on recording. There was silence outside for a few seconds. Co Nghien Bach's voice lowered.

"I never wanted to chase you away."

"Hua Lam made a fuss."

"Giang Van kept defending him."

"I just want to calm things down temporarily."

"How many years have you worked at the company?"

"Why don't you still understand me?"

I opened the door. Co Nghien Bach was stunned. I looked straight into his eyes.

"Understand you what?"

He took a step forward.

"Duong Duong."

"Don't be like that."

I don't give way.

"Understand..."

"You put my name on the notice to appease Hua Lam?"

"Understand..."

"You gave my project to him just to save Jiang Van's face?"

"Understand..."

"You know very well those three designs are mine."

"Still prepared for him to sign?"

Co Nghien Bach's face immediately darkened.

"Who did you hear?"

I laughed.

"You answer me first."

"Is that so?"

He avoided the question.

"Those three blueprints..."

"The company has the right to use it."

I calmly replied.

"But the copyright belongs to me."

He frowned.

"Tong Duong."

"Do we really have to talk about this between us?"

"Of course."

I looked at him.

"When you don't want to talk about feelings..."

"You guys tell me the company regulations."

"And now..."

"It's my turn to talk about the regulations."

"So you guys started talking about love again?"

Co Nghien Bach clenched the paper bag in his hand.

"Don't let your emotions control you."

"Go back."

"I'll let you continue as Design Director."

"What about Hua Lam?"

"He's young."

"What about Giang Van?"

"She is my fiancee."

I nodded slightly.

"Then go home."

Co Nghien Bach looked at me, his eyes finally showing anger.

"Tong Duong."

"What do you want anyway?"

He was stunned.

"With attribution."

"Copyright."

"And the dividends I should have received."

"Not even one penny short."

Co Nghien Bach stared at me.

"Have you planned this before?"

I calmly replied:

"You guys reminded me."

His voice lowered.

"What if you don't agree?"

I turned the phone screen towards him. The recording is still running.

"Then let the legal department talk."

Co Nghien Bach looked at the phone very long. Finally, he put the paper bag down in front of the door.

"In here is the chestnut cake I used to like to eat."

I calmly replied:

"Now I don't like it anymore."

He raised his head to look at me.

"People can't change that quickly."

Before closing the door, I looked straight into his eyes.

"Co Nghien Bach."

"People don't suddenly change."

"It's just that I've never seen it before."

The next morning. Official lawyer's letter sent. Three o'clock in the afternoon. The Co Thi brand's internal chat group completely exploded. Someone took a screenshot and sent it to me. Hua Lam posted a message.

"I didn't expect senior to choose to leave like this. What a pity."

"As a junior, I always respect her."

"But I also hope people don't just believe in one-sided words."

Right below, someone immediately responded.

"Hua Lam is also really pitiful."

"In the past, Song Duong liked to oppress newcomers."

"Her design is also outdated."

I don't answer. Tieu Chu called.

"Miss Duong."

"Giang Van forced everyone to hand over their phones."

"She's investigating who sent you the message."

"Have you submitted it yet?"

"I turned in my secondary phone."

I laughed. Tieu Chu lowered his voice.

"General Director Co Bao will hold a project review meeting tomorrow afternoon."

"It is said to demonstrate the creative origins of the spring collection."

"Where is the location?"

"Large corporate meeting room."

"Are there any outsiders attending?"

"Collaborative partner."

"And two investor representatives."

I looked at the hard drive on the table.

"Miss Duong..."

"Are you really going to come?"

"Of course."

Tieu Chu's voice immediately rose.

"Are you really coming?"

"Don't they want to prove it?"

I closed the computer.

"Then I also want to listen..."

"Let's see how they plan to prove that these things are mine..."

"...became theirs again."

Two o'clock the next afternoon. I entered the Co's building. As soon as the receptionist saw me, he quickly stood up.

"Tong... General Manager Tong..."

"I quit my job."

I brought the guest registration card.

"I came to see Co Nghien Bach."

The elevator door opens. Hua Lam is standing inside. Seeing me, he was slightly surprised, then smiled.

"Miss Duong."

"I'm here."

I said nothing. He stepped aside to make way.

"Actually, you don't need to do anything so big."

The elevator slowly went up. He adjusted his collar through the mirror in the elevator and said:

"I helped you before."

"I always remember."

"But this industry is just like that."

"New people have to step forward."

I looked at the number jumping on the display board.

"Move forward..."

"It doesn't mean stepping on other people's designs."

The smile on Hua Lam's face faded.

"Do you have proof?"
