Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Likes My Brother's Roommate
When I arrived, the match had already started. I immediately saw Luc Du on the field. He was wearing a jersey, sweating profusely, and looked somewhat handsome. But my eyes were uncontrollably attracted to another person on the border. It's Trinh Tham. He did not go on the field, just wore normal clothes and sat quietly on the bench. Holding a bottle of water in his hand, his eyes closely followed the match's progress. The sunlight shone on his body, covering him with a layer of golden aura. I looked dumbfounded. During the break, my brother ran towards me. "Where is the water?" He was panting, sweating profusely. I quickly gave him the water bottle in my hand. He "gulp" drank more than half of the bottle. "Lam Tri, you're so quiet today? Aren't you cheering for me?" I pouted. "You're so bad at fighting, how can you cheer?" "Hey, this girl!" Luc Du pretended to hit me. I smiled shyly. At that moment, Trinh Tham walked in. He also held a bottle of water and gave it to my brother. "Drink this, it has more electrolytes." Luc Du took it and grinned. "Still my brother who is the most thoughtful." Then, he gave me the remaining half bottle of mineral water. "This is for you." Me: "..." I looked at the half bottle of water in my hand, my face full of disgust. "I won't drink it, keep it yourself." "If you drink then drink, if not then forget." Luc Du finished speaking and turned around. back to the football field. I held half a bottle of water, I regret throwing it away, and I feel embarrassed about drinking it. While hesitating, a hand reached out and took the water bottle from my hand. It's Trinh Tham. He didn't say anything, just threw half a bottle of water into the trash can next to him. Then, as if doing magic, he took out a new bottle of water from behind, opened the lid and gave it to me. "Drink this." I looked at him dumbfounded. Under the sunlight, his facial features were so clear and beautiful that people couldn't take their eyes off him. My heart seemed to skip a beat. I took the water bottle and said in a low voice: "Thank you." He said "yes", his eyes stopped on my face. "Don't drink his leftovers from now on." His voice was very serious. "And don't treat him like that anymore." I looked at him, suddenly wanting to tell the truth. I want to tell you, Luc Du is my biological brother, we are brothers. I want to tell you, all you see is just our daily activities. But when the words reached my mouth, I swallowed them back. I'm scared. I'm afraid that if we expose this beautiful misunderstanding, even the fragile connection between us will disappear. The second half of the match quickly began. I sat in the stands, my heart was somewhere else. His mind was full of the words Trinh Tham had just said. The match ended, my brother's department won. The whole group of people invited each other to celebrate. Of course, my brother also dragged me along. In the KTV room, the sound of screaming was loud. My brother drank some wine, hugged the microphone and didn't let go, it was still his song "Even Death Must Love" that hasn't changed for thousands of years. I found it too noisy, so I hid in the corner to play on my phone. A moment later, Trinh Tham sat down next to me. The lights in the room were dim, I couldn't see his face clearly. "Are you not happy?" He asked me. I shook my head. "No, it's just a little noisy." He said "uh" and didn't say anything else. There was just a fist's distance between us, the atmosphere was a bit quiet. I can smell the gentle scent of fabric softener on him, very pleasant. After a while, he suddenly spoke. "Lam Tri." "Yes?" "What if..." He hesitated, as if searching for words. "If one day, you and he break up... could you... consider me?" His voice was very light, almost swallowed by the sound in the room. But I still hear it clearly. My heart felt like someone had stabbed me hard. I suddenly raised my head and looked towards him. Under the dim light, his eyes were surprisingly bright. There is suspense, anticipation, and even a bit of reckless courage.
