Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — Love From Silk Scarf
Bui Than nodded:
“It seems to be related to academic cheating, so he was expelled.”
Luc Ninh pouted:
"It's worth it. Now not only do I not have a diploma, but I also have to go to jail."
I told her not to think any more, just get a good night's rest.
“What about you two?”
Luc Ninh blinked:
“Going on a date?”
I was speechless:
“What are you kidding?”
Luc Ninh regretfully said "ah":
"Why haven't you two reconciled yet? I've already started my second love."
As soon as the sentence ended, there was a knock on the hospital room door. A tall, handsome male student rushed in with a worried look on his face:
"Ninh Ninh! Are you okay?"
I'm satisfied, it's truly my second love. Luc Ninh weakly buried himself in the boy's arms, and at the same time blinked madly at me. I helplessly pulled Bui Than:
“Then we'll go first.”
It was late at night, the streets were extremely quiet. Bui Than and I walked silently side by side.
“Du Mong.”
Bui Than suddenly called me:
“Before this happened, what were you going to say to me?”
23 I was stunned and shook my head:
“Forgot.”
The ups and downs of emotions were so great, I soon forgot the words I had not yet uttered at that time. Bui Than stopped walking and used the streetlight to look at me. His eyes were deep, stopping on my face as if he had just discovered something. He took out a silk scarf from his pocket.
“Don't move.”
Soft, cool feeling falling on the face. Bui Than carefully wiped my temples, frowning slightly:
“There is blood. There is a small wound here.”
His movements are both gentle and serious, like he is cherishing a treasure:
“Does it hurt?”
I've heard you ask this question many times. But this is my first answer:
“It hurts a little.”
Bui Than was stunned, then without hesitation pulled my hand:
“Go disinfect.”
“It's okay.”
I turned around and pulled him back:
"The tennis racket string broke, it probably just bounced off. It's okay."
Bui Than checked again very carefully. Only when he determined that the wound was almost closed did he feel secure. The two of us still held each other's hands, no one actively let go. My heart was beating a little fast, so I randomly found a topic:
“Are your handkerchiefs also made of silk?”
Bui Than lowered his head to look at the item in his hand and softly replied:
“Actually, I initially liked silk because of a handkerchief.”
24 Bui Than was not born a rich boy. His parents started their business from scratch, working day in and day out to make a living. As a child, he was always alone. Eat alone, go to school alone, stay home alone. Even when he was bullied by upperclassmen, he didn't tell his parents, because they didn't have time to stand up for him. But Bui Than is not weak. If others bully you, you will fight back. Even if he can't fight back, he still has to bite off a piece of his opponent's flesh, then exchange it for more serious bullying and beatings. It's true that eight hundred enemy kills, one thousand self-harms. Bui Than still remembers that afternoon. The sun is extremely harsh. The last ten yuan on his person were stolen, but he was exhausted, and for a moment he even wanted to bow his head and beg for forgiveness. Until he heard a girl's decisive voice:
"You guys over there! I've already called the police!"
“Bullying others is not okay! You guys go ahead Wait to be captured!”
The perpetrators immediately ran away. A small, thin figure walked in front of him. Right after that, Bui Than felt a cool feeling on his temples. He opened his eyes and saw his wound being held tightly by a soft silk scarf.
“Don't die!”
The girl looked at him, her eyes filled with worry:
“This is the birthday present I bought for my mother. I used it to cover your wound, you absolutely cannot die!”
Bui Than's lips moved slightly, wanting to say thank you. But the sound of police sirens rang out, completely drowning out his voice. Many times, Bui Than felt that his memories of that afternoon were gradually becoming hazy. But those bright eyes and that soft silk scarf were always engraved in his heart, never forgotten even for a moment. At this moment, Bui Than lowered his eyes and looked at the eyes of the person standing in front of him, still the same as before. In a moment of panic, he thought, it turns out there really is a destiny in this world.
“It was a birthday gift I bought for my mother.”
That was the first pocket money I saved, I wanted to use it to buy a gift for my mother. It's just a pity that the last gift cannot be given away. Not long after, my mother also had to go to jail because of business problems. That silk scarf was sealed in memory for many years. Until the year my mother was released from prison, I once again started choosing a birthday gift for her. It appeared before me again. It also made Bui Than and I meet again after many hardships. Bui Than squeezed my hand. It seemed like countless words were stuck in my throat. Ten tightly intertwined fingers are like a chain, a cage, but even more like a path leading to the future.
“Du Mong, please give me a chance.”
He said hoarsely:
“Let me pursue you from the beginning, until you agree to be with me.”
I looked at him, after a while I smiled slightly:
“Okay.”
Fate has let us meet again at this moment. So we should not disappoint it. End
