Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Married to the Fifth Prince
It seems like everything has been like this ever since. In my previous life, Tham Hoan fell ill because I was shameless and stole her marriage. Wen Thuc Diem slept in another woman's room because I didn't have the skills and wasn't favored by my husband. His concubine poisoned me because I was not careful and deserved to suffer bad luck. But in this life, I have done my best to stay away from them, fulfilling their deep feelings. Why in the end can all mistakes still fall on us? The frustration in my heart is like a weed, growing madly. I gently tugged at the corner of my lips, revealing an almost mocking smile. "Sister is not happy, isn't it because you don't know how to handle it and said the wrong thing? Why did it end up being my fault?" I frankly met his angry eyes without taking a step back. "In this life, you have achieved what you wished for, marrying a beautiful woman who you look forward to every day and night. So you should be careful with your words and actions, be moderate, and don't continue to make her heartbroken." Every word we say is the truth. However, those true words that reached Wen Thuc Diem's ears were like the sharpest sarcasm. His face immediately darkened, his eyes seemed to be harboring a storm. "She has always been like this, cleverly making excuses, pushing all mistakes onto others!" He was so angry that he laughed, the corners of his lips curling up into a cold curve. "You resent Hoan Nhi so much, confronting her everywhere, isn't it because I didn't marry you in this life?" It was as if he had seen through all my vile thoughts, his eyes filled with contempt. “Tham Hoan, if you agree not to continue intentionally making things difficult for Hoan Nhi…” “I can reluctantly accept you as my concubine.” 7. I almost thought I heard wrong. By the time I fully understood what he had just said, my body had reacted before my reason. “Pop!” A crisp sound rang out in the quiet forest, especially suddenly. On Thuc Diem's face was knocked to one side. Five clear finger prints quickly appeared on her white cheeks. It seemed like he was also stunned, looking at me incredulously. I withdrew my tingling hand. The frustration and disgust that had been suppressed for a long time in my heart finally found a place to vent. “Wen Thuc Diem.” I opened my mouth coldly, without any heat in my voice. "Have you forgotten that before you died in your previous life, you begged me to raise my hand and hit you lightly to let you go?" I watched his pupils suddenly constrict, the corners of his lips curled up mockingly. "What's wrong? When you change to another life, you immediately forget the words you said, and want to get involved again? Or do you feel that if you don't have me as your enemy by your side, you will lose a lot of fun in the days and years from now when you and my sister raise a quarrel?" "There's not only you On Thuc Diem in the world. I, Tham Hoan, even if I want to marry, I absolutely have no intention of becoming someone else's concubine. If you're really not awake yet, why not find a pond and soak a few times to calm your mind." On Thuc Diem's face was pale, the anger in his eyes was almost about to erupt. "Okay, good for a Tham Hoan! Do you think you have support by clinging to the Fifth Prince?" He was so embarrassed that he became angry, his words were full of harsh sarcasm. "The fifth prince doesn't do anything properly every day, only knows how to fool around, being in the capital is nothing more than a joke. She and he don't know each other, yet she unilaterally volunteered to put herself on that boat. In the future, she will definitely only be able to guard an empty royal palace and endure all the coldness!" I laughed coldly. "Who said I don't know the Fifth Prince?" 8. Actually, I knew Tong Lam Chu even earlier than Wen Thuc Diem. That year I was only twelve years old, following my mother to the palace to attend the banquet. The palace banquet was long and boring, so I found an excuse to sneak out and walk aimlessly in the palace garden. When we came to a remote mountain peak, we heard a "thump" sound, like a heavy object falling into the water. I was startled and looked in the direction of the sound. Not far away in Thai Dich Tri, a teenager wearing brocade was struggling in the water. I accept
So that's the Fifth Prince, whom I just had the chance to meet at the banquet. There was not a single person around. I didn't have time to think too much, took off my coat and jumped down. After saving people ashore, I also learned a shocking secret. At that moment, my eyes widened and I instinctively raised my head to look at him. He didn't panic at all because he was discovered, he just calmly wiped the water from his face and curled his lips at me. “It's just a layer of flesh, what's so surprising?” His voice was clear, carrying the characteristic generosity of a teenager. From that day, we became friends. People often secretly left the palace to find me, took me to eat food at roadside restaurants, listened to stories in tea shops, and watched horse racing in the suburbs. These are all new things that a lady like me has never experienced before. He told me, the prince's status is like a magnificent cage, imprisoning people.
