Chapter 3
Chapter 3 — Midnight Doorbell
"You ring the doorbell in the middle of the night, are you sick?" "I've only been asleep for a few hours and you keep ringing it, do you want to die?" "Your house doesn't have a doorbell? You bastard!" The old man's voice echoed far away in the residential area in the early morning. The old woman cowered in the corner of the security post, not daring to reply at all. Waiting until her son ran over, the security guard dared to stick out half of his body and said to them: "The old man on the second floor has been suffering from bipolar disorder for many years. When he's in peace, why are you poking him?" "Previously, there was a delivery man who knocked on the door a few more times, and he also beat people up and had to be hospitalized. From now on, stay away from him." The old woman felt so sorry that she was about to cry, pulled her son's sleeve and said: "Son, I rang the doorbell of the house opposite the house." I, I'm not teasing him..." Her son patted her on the back, leading the old woman back into the building. He called and instructed his mother to stand downstairs and press "ding doong, dong doong" for a long time, but my doorbell remained silent. The two people stood in the hallway looking at each other, finally realizing that something was wrong. "Not right." "Why did you press the bell but the second floor still rang?" "There was absolutely no movement from the house opposite!" He led the security guard to rush to my door, his fist pounded on the door making "banging" sounds. "Vuong Nha Ky, you bitch, open the door!" "Surely it's your game, right? You come out here for me!" "If you dare to do it, you have to dare to accept it, miss." Why are you pretending to be a turtle? I sat in the house without moving and sent my husband a text message: "Turn off the program." Then I called the police directly, saying that someone was threatening and intimidating me in the middle of the night. The police arrived quite quickly. Two young policemen stood in the hallway, listening to both sides' statements. Her son said I fixed the access control system to harm his mother. Police checked surveillance cameras but could not find any traces. When I rang the bell again, my house bell still rang normally. So the police advised them to return. Before leaving, he told me: "If there is a conflict, try to negotiate, don't use these technical tricks to harm the neighbors' feelings." After they left, the hallway was quiet for a long time. But not long after it was dawn, the house opposite started broadcasting live again. The old woman sat on the sofa, one foot on the stool, a piece of gauze on her knee. Her son took the phone and turned back to her feet: "Look, this woman even deliberately switched the doorbell to a crazy person's house." "Causing my mother to be chased by someone with a knife. She was over seventy years old, and her knee was broken." "If I had run a little slower, wouldn't my mother have been hacked to death? This woman is really too cruel!" This time the comments were even more intense, everyone pitied her. old man and scolded me. "This woman is so cruel, this is intentionally killing people!" "For the last time, she still hasn't apologized and compensated, but now she's even more aggressive!" "This woman is really evil to the extreme." There were even more enthusiastic people, they investigated the whole kindergarten where I worked. Below the kindergarten's official account, hundreds of comments suddenly appeared: "Is this kind of person who does not respect the elderly and love children worthy of teaching children?" "A murderer is not worthy of teaching students!" "Who dares to let their children study at a school like this? Firmly demand that she be fired!" The group of residents were also not quiet. The old woman's son continuously sent several text messages: "At first you refused to pay a little money to reconcile, but now you have to work until you lose your job to be satisfied, right?"
The neighbors below also chimed in: "That's right, the girl is still young, why are you so stubborn?" "Now that you're about to lose your job, do you regret it yet?" But they didn't know that the kindergarten principal was my childhood best friend, we grew up together. During the day, after seeing the comments below the school's account, she immediately called me: "Are you okay?" After hearing me tell the story, she calmly said: "You're okay. So I'll give you a leave of absence, you can rest well for a while, let me handle this matter."
