Chapter 1
Chapter 1 — My Amnesiac Benefactor Wants to Marry Me
My sugar daddy has suffered from amnesia and has forgotten me entirely. To ensure my life of luxury remains intact, I have decided to seduce him all over again. After thinking for two seconds, I take a bite of a banana. He stares at me and exclaims, "You... you are trying to seduce me!" I reply, "..." Alright, fine, I will go wash a cucumber to eat instead. He reacts instantly, "What are you implying with that?!" I begin to prepare a salad, and while squeezing the yogurt, I accidentally press too hard. Seeing this, he rips his shirt open, revealing eight-pack abs, and declares, "Fine! I will satisfy you! Isn't this what you wanted?!" Heaven have mercy on me, I genuinely have not done anything yet!
Normally, when someone as powerful as Zhou Shi Jun faces a major incident, I—his kept mistress—should be the first to receive the news. But I am merely his canary, or to be blunt, one of many. When I rushed to the hospital, I was shocked to find To Vien Vien standing right outside his ward. She had arrived before me! My top-tier car was driven as slowly as a turtle! To Vien Vien had been chasing Zhou Shi Jun for years. At that moment, she stood there clutching her hands, looking like a flustered country girl. "The doctor says Master Zhou has lost his memory and is stuck at the age of twenty-two," she stated. "He does not remember you, so just go home and eat your dumplings!" I was rendered speechless. Zhou Shi Jun is currently twenty-five—meaning there is not a single shred of memory regarding me in his head. My sugar daddy has forgotten me! This news made me so angry I wanted to snap my banana in half right then and there.
"Do you think he remembers you?" I retorted. To Vien Vien was only recognized as the legitimate daughter of the To family last year; if Zhou Shi Jun does not remember me, he has even less reason to remember her. She flushed with fury. "That has nothing to do with you!" I smiled thinly, which only made her angrier. "It seems he truly does not remember. I have no idea what you are so smug about." Finishing my sentence, I pushed past her and walked into the room.
Zhou Shi Jun was sitting in a wheelchair, the sunlight streaming through the window leaves and illuminating his face with such clarity it stole my breath. Had this overbearing CEO really become a disabled patient? I lunged forward and knelt at his feet. "Darling!" This was a requirement stipulated in the very first clause of our arrangement. No matter when or where, I had to call him that. My voice trembled with a sorrow I had deliberately manufactured. This morning, he was hugging and kissing me, and in the afternoon, he transferred three million to me for "emotional comfort," yet by nightfall, he had forgotten me! This wealthy man can remember the names of fourteen billion people in this country, yet I am the only one he has wiped from his mind! "Darling, even if you never stand up again, I will never leave you!" I cried, clutching his legs as my head fell against his knees.
"You will be disappointed, as I am still able to move," he replied, his gaze sweeping coldly past me and To Vien Vien. "One of you calls me 'darling,' while the other claims to be my girlfriend... who is telling the truth?" To Vien Vien quickly cut in, "I am the biological daughter of the To family; we are a perfect match, a match made in heaven. It is only natural that I am your girlfriend!" Zhou Shi Jun tilted his head, the sunlight shimmering on his long eyelashes, while his gaze shifted back to me as if asking: And what about you?
Truthfully, in the three years of our arrangement, the money Zhou Shi Jun provided was enough to sustain me comfortably for the rest of my life. Retiring now was a viable option, but I did not want to. I feared poverty. Cutting ties with him meant losing a massive, steady income. Plus, Zhou Shi Jun is handsome, clean, and possesses the stamina of a luxury-grade Terminator—his service to me was impeccable. Honestly, I felt like I was the one wronging him by taking his money while "devouring" him. So, until he kicks me out, I will never voluntarily step down from this lifestyle.
But now he asked, "How will you prove our relationship? By showing me the bank statements?" I froze. He lowered his gaze, his ice-cold eyes seemingly able to peer into the depths of my soul. "Do you not want to claim you are my woman?" I lightly touched the corner of my lip. It was not that I didn't want to. When I received the call about his accident, I had been drinking afternoon tea. Terrified, I nearly dropped my cup and bit my lip. But that sharp sting gave me an idea. I placed both hands on his shoulders and, before he could react, quickly sat on his lap. I prepared myself to be pushed away, but to my surprise, he only paused for a second before his throat bobbed and he inhaled sharply. The next second, his strong arms wrapped firmly around my waist, pulling me tight. Our lips were mere centimeters apart.
I felt that familiar sensation—something that made me tremble and yet feel secure. As he gently took my tongue into his mouth, I let out an involuntary moan. His eyes, misted with heat, drifted open, and my heart skipped a beat. He was watching! At such a close distance, his amber eyes were deep pools of profound emotion, desire, and clear aggression. It sent shivers down my spine. Every time, this gaze flustered me so much that the next day my lips would be too swollen to speak. The real problem was—why does he refuse to close his eyes when he kisses? Did he do this before? Does this mean every time I was "enjoying" myself, he had been watching me the entire time? Just like now, in his eyes, my flushed, seductive, and embarrassed face belonged entirely to him. "You two... this is too much!"
