Chapter 5 — My Fold-Eared Rabbit

14On the way home, Xa Xa Gia turned back into a rabbit, sat in the passenger seat, used his front paw to brush his long ears, pretending to be busy. Perhaps because of the embarrassment of misunderstanding, the whole rabbit turned red like a brazier. It stretched out on the chair, looking absolutely adorable. I drove and teased, imitating the "squeak" sound or letting out a few teasing words. Arriving at the elevator, it crawled out of my bag, climbed onto my shoulder, then obediently squatted down, rubbing its head against my neck. That masterful coddling made me melt, completely caught off guard. As soon as I entered the door, I couldn't bear it anymore, hugged it tightly and kissed it, laughing loudly. "Hi hi hi, little rabbit, the cutest creature in the universe!" I muttered, frantically replenishing energy from the soft fur. Xa Xa Gia obediently let me "torture" her, not struggling at all. I waited until I remembered that it could now understand human language, then I embarrassedly put it down and quickly extinguished the fire: "Sorry... I couldn't control it." White mist rose again. Turning back into a human, Xa Xa Gia hugged me tightly, burying her head in my shoulder, inhaling the scent, her hand caressing my back. The movement is exactly like the way I stroke a rabbit. "Xa Xa Gia?" I wanted to push away, but I was held tighter. His nose brushed against my skin, triggering a shiver. I panicked, grabbed my drooping ears, but was afraid he would hurt me so I didn't dare pull hard. "What are you doing?" Xa Xa Gia laughed, bent down and kissed my neck. "Absorbing people." He imitated my words, then tilted his head, showing an innocent look, lifted my face with both hands, scattered small kisses on my ears, cheeks, chin, kissing and whispering: "These places, Khiem Khiem touched all of them just now." "It's me being confused, in the future I won't hug you around and kiss you anymore! Don't do that..." Before I could finish speaking, I groaned softly. A sharp pain came - Xa Xa Gia bit my collarbone. He didn't leave, but pressed his lips to the bite mark, rubbed back and forth, whispering vaguely: "Sorry... can't control it?" There must be moderation in imitating! I was so angry that I grabbed his hair and pulled him up, but only saw him smile mischievously. 15 Since that incident, no matter how cute Xa Xa Gia turned back into a rabbit, I was no longer moved. Anyway, I don't want him to recreate the same "rabbit sucking" scene on my body. Even when he rolled over in front of me, exposed his belly to me, and kicked his legs non-stop, I could still restrain myself from reaching out. Such a cold, iron woman! I said to myself, silently cheering for myself. Realizing that the bait was ineffective, Xa Xa Gia began stomping his feet in frustration. It was so loud that the neighbor downstairs had to go up and knock on the door. Knowing that the source of the noise was a rabbit, his face relaxed: "Small nose but fierce aura." "Can I touch it?" He was still excited. Before I could answer, Xa Xa Gia rushed forward, violently headbutting him. "Oh, so aggressive." The neighbors laughed and walked away, "Watch out, the owner doesn't need you anymore."16When my vacation ended, I had to go back to work. Before leaving, I saw poor Xa Xa Gia waiting at the door. I sat down and poked him on the forehead: "I'll be home at night. Be obedient at home." I bought many toys for him, which should probably reduce separation anxiety. But all day, I still couldn't sit still, always remembering those pink eyes. Standing up to get water, I accidentally broke the cup. As I bent down to clean up the broken pieces, I kept having a bad feeling in my heart. 17 Finally returning home, I saw Xa Xa Gia again in human form, hugging a pillow and sitting in the dark. A lone figure. Strange. Why don't you turn on the lights? Where does this bloody smell come from? When I turned on the light, the scene before my eyes horrified me: Xa Xa Gia's rabbit ears were covered in blood, covered with large and small holes, like the careless experiments of an inexperienced piercer.

experienced, both rough and bloody. The doctor once said that rabbit ears are full of nerves and blood vessels, and can easily cause permanent damage. His blood was still flowing, but he forced a bright smile: "Welcome home, Khiem Khiem." "What happened?" I threw my bag in panic and rushed forward, "First aid first, wait until I get the medical kit!" He lost a lot of blood, his lips were white, but he still held my wrist tightly, pointed at a hole in his ear, signaling me to look. There was a cheap plastic piercing that glittered. It was originally a gift when I bought clothes, I conveniently stuffed it in the closet, but now he took it out and wore it. I seem to understand. Looking down, I saw a few thumbtacks and fresh blood on the floor. Obviously that's the tool. This injury is definitely not an accident. Seeing me stunned, Xa Xa Gia, thinking I hadn't seen clearly, shook her ears again, making the bloody piercing stand out even more. That action further confirmed the speculation in my heart. "Xa Xa Gia." I gasped, picked up a thumbtack, "You pierced this ear yourself?" "Well, it couldn't be punctured once, so I pierced it many times." He spoke calmly as if discussing the weather, then happily shook his head to show off the bloody piercing, "Finally, I can wear it. Is it beautiful?"
