Chapter 1 — My Husband's Sister Said I Was Just A Decoration

The day I was killed by Ta Tan Uyen's cousin, I was seven months pregnant with his child. She ordered a few women to hold my legs tightly, saying that I was not worthy of leaving my bloodline to the Ta family. Cheeks flowed all over the ground. I begged Ta Tan Uyen to save the child, but he hugged Tong Minh Thuc tightly, who was crying and trembling in his arms, coldly blaming me for not provoking her. When I opened my eyes again, the pair of roses in the new room were still burning brightly. As soon as the matchmaker left, outside the door a maid knelt down and announced:

"General, Miss Minh Thuc has a heart attack, crying and asking to see you."

Ta Tan Uyen stood up to leave, just like in his previous life. I took down the phoenix stick from my head, placed it directly next to my neck, smiled and asked him:

"If the general steps out of this door today, does he want the whole capital to know that General Tran Bac forced his wife to die on the wedding night?"

His steps stopped. I pushed the tip of the brooch in another half an inch deeper, blood flowed down the body of the golden brooch, dripping onto my uniform. Outside immediately became chaos, even the maid who came to urge her did not dare to say another word. In my previous life, I begged him to have mercy on me, I begged to the point of having one body and two lives. And now, I don't need his heart anymore. What I want is for the entire Ta family, along the way to the family law, to stand up and judge the person he has always protected. At that moment, Tong Minh Thuc's high-pitched cry rang out outside the door:

“Brother, you promised me, she is just a decoration!”

The day I was killed by Ta Tan Uyen's cousin, I was seven months pregnant with his child. She led four women and rushed straight into my hospital, not even letting anyone close the hospital door. The maids who were cleaning the yard all saw it with their own eyes, but no one dared to stand up and stop it. Tong Minh Thuc wore a pure white dress, and when he opened his mouth, he only said three words:

“Hold her tight.”

Two women immediately rushed forward to hold my hands, another woman raised her hand to lift my skirt. I hugged my stomach tightly and backed away, my waist hitting the corner of the table, the intense pain causing me to immediately fall to the ground.

“Tong Minh Thuc, do you dare to touch the bones and flesh of the Ta family?”

She squatted down in front of me, stared at my stomach, then slowly smiled.

“The bones and flesh of the Ta family?” She raised her hand and gently patted my face. “Tan Van, are you worthy?”

I wanted to call someone, but as soon as I opened my mouth, a woman stuffed a towel in and blocked it. Tong Minh Thuc leaned closer to me, deliberately lowering his voice:

"My cousin once said that you are just the main wife that the Ta family married to save face."

“If this baby is born, he will have to stay in your room every day.”

Having finished speaking, she raised her hand and pointed downwards. As soon as the woman's hand pressed down, I felt something in my stomach suddenly fall hard. I grabbed the carpet on the ground tightly, scratching my nails until the threads broke. The palm of his hand was red with blood. Some people ran out in panic to invite the general, and others spoke up to advise Tong Minh Thuc: "Miss, if you continue like this, a murder will occur." Tong Minh Thuc stood up and retreated to a clean place.

“Her ego." She said coldly. “I didn't touch her.”

When Ta Tan Uyen ran over, I was speechless. He walked in and looked at me first, his eyes only stopped below me for a moment, then immediately turned to Tong Minh Thuc. Tong Minh Thuc rushed into his arms and sobbed:

“Brother, I didn't mean it. It was my sister who scolded me for not giving birth first, so I wanted to reason with her."

I grabbed Ta Tan Uyen's shirt, hoping he would save our child. He lowered his head to look at me, his eyebrows furrowed slightly, the first thing he did was take the hem of his shirt out of my hand.

"Tan Van, Minh Thuc's health is not good, why do you insist on provoking her?"

I slowly let go. He never asked if the baby could still be kept, nor did he ask if I was in pain or not. He hugged Tong Minh Thuc and left, telling the doctor to treat her heart disease first. My child... is no more. After that, I lay in bed for three days. Each bowl of medicine delivered is lighter than the previous bowl.
