Ly Tuan Hoa stood at the door, his voice low: "Don't get excited."

“I've never been so sober right now.” I stopped, turned my head to look at him, "If you really love me, then from the moment she took the money, you should have stood up to protect me, not protect it."

“But you didn't.” I shook my head, disappointed to the core, "You make me cold."

Having finished speaking, I entered the room and started packing my luggage. He stood outside the door, his eyes filled with regret. But it's too late. There are words that once spoken, cannot be taken back. There are wounds that, once formed, will never heal. The next morning, I pulled my suitcase and left the Ly family's house. Ly Tuan Hoa chased down: "Vu Dong, do you really want to go?"

“I have decided.”

“So what about our marriage?”

I stopped walking: "It's your choice."

“I didn't choose divorce.”

“You chose to protect the person who took the money, instead of protecting the person from whom it was taken.” I looked at him, “That's your choice.”

Ly Tuan Hoa panicked: "Vu Dong, I admit I didn't handle it well, but we can start again..."

“Start again?” I laughed coldly, "Your sister is still at the station, your mother still scolds me for being cruel, how do you think we can start over?"

“I'll tell them to apologize to you.”

"Sorry?" I shook my head, "Ly Tuan Hoa, you don't understand. This is not a matter of apology, but a matter of life perspective."

“What do you mean?”

"My family's thinking is: when family members do wrong, they cover it up; when outsiders suffer losses, they have to endure it." I looked at him, my eyes only remaining disappointed, "As for me, right is right, wrong is wrong, no matter who it is."

He was silent. I continued: "You see me as cruel because I called the police to arrest your sister, but I see you as cold, because my pain is worth nothing to you."

“I don't…”

“Yes.” I interrupted, "When she took my money, what you were thinking was not how fair it was for me, but how to make it small, how to let me forget it."

"Every second, every minute, do you think about my feelings? Do you think about my parents' feelings?"

He bowed his head.

“I married you, not to live like this.” I pulled my suitcase and continued, "Goodbye, Ly Tuan Hoa."

“Vu Dong!” he was about to give chase.

“Don't follow me, I don't want to see you.”

I got in the car, leaving him standing there, in the empty space with nothing left to save. He stood and watched the car disappear, probably understanding in his heart that he had lost the most important person in his life. But everything is his own choice. Sitting in the taxi, I leaned against the seat, tears finally falling. I'm not cruel, I just want fairness. But in the Ly family, that thing does not exist.

“Where are you going?” the driver asked.

“Go to the station.” I wiped my tears, "I'm going home."

Back to the place where you truly belong, where there are people who love and protect you. Three days later, Ly Tam Duyet was released. But the car has been sealed, awaiting auction to return the money. Ly Tuan Hoa came to my house, wanting to save the marriage. I was at my parents' house, and they received him coldly.

“Vu Dong, let's talk.” he almost begged.

“There's nothing to say.” I sat in the living room, not even bothering to look at him.

“I made Tam Duyet apologize, he said sorry to you.”

"What's the use of apologizing? Money back again?”

“The car has been sealed. If you sell it, it will be returned to you.”

“Only sold 200,000, what about 100,000?”

He was confused: "I'm trying to find a way to make money..."

“No need.” I said softly, "I'll give 100,000 to your family as a parting fee."

“Farewell fee?” he panicked, "Vu Dong, let's not break up!"

“Not breaking up?” I looked at him, "So tell me, if the same thing happens in the future, whose side will you be on?"

He couldn't answer. I smiled faintly: "You will still protect your family, you will still force me to be patient. Because in your heart, I will always be an outsider.”

“It's not…”

“Yes.” I stood up, "Ly Tuan Hoa, finish it. I don't want to continue to suffer in a relationship like this anymore."
