Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — My Two Sisters Pretended to Be Dead, Two Years Later, They Were Captured by Their Husbands
The queen raised her teacup. Dich raised his head.
"The father of a commoner's daughter is Phung Thiet Nguu. Marrying a commoner's sister into the Han family is not because he wants to form an in-law relationship between the two families."
"His original words were that he wanted us to make the Han family uneasy and clear away all obstacles in the court for him."
Phuong Nghi palace was silent for a moment. The queen put down the tea cup.
"Do these words have proof?"
My sister took out an envelope from her sleeve.
"This is a secret letter that father wrote to the strategist under his command on the night before the woman got married. Inside, it clearly states the plan to take advantage of two marriages to manipulate and suppress the Han family."
"The women have always kept this envelope. They originally intended to use it as a life preserver, but they didn't expect to have the opportunity to use it today."
The envelope was presented. After the Queen finished watching, her face changed slightly and was filled with wonder. She looked out the door.
"The Legend of Phung Thiet Nguu."
I knelt next to her and secretly took a look at her. She raised her eyebrows slightly and silently said two words to me. 《Chapter 12》 When my father was brought into Phuong Nghi palace, his face was filled with a smile.
"I met the Queen, I wonder why you called me here?"
The queen slammed the envelope on the table.
"Phung Thiet Nguu, see for yourself what this is."
My father glanced at the paper, his expression changed slightly, but he quickly controlled it.
"My lady, this is a fake. My two daughters did not understand things, pretended to be dead and deceived the whole court. Now that they have been captured, they are so embarrassed and angry that they dare to fabricate everything."
He knelt down, tears and runny nose streaming down his face.
"I see them as pearls, how can they harm my own flesh and bones?"
I am very familiar with this trick of his. From childhood to adulthood, no matter what he did that went against his conscience, as long as he cried in front of his elders, everyone believed him. I looked towards the Queen. The queen looked at Phung Thiet Nguu who was crying bitterly, then looked at the letter, not showing her attitude clearly.
"This matter, this palace will submit to the Holy King for decision. Before that, sister Phung Thi will temporarily stay in the palace, not allowed to go out. Lieutenant Phung Thai should return to the palace first."
My father wiped away his tears as he left the palace. As he passed by me, he bent down, his voice only I could hear.
"You brat, do you want to fight your father? You're still very young."
After the door closed, my sister and I were arranged in the heavenly hall of Phuong Nghi palace. As soon as she sat down, she began to analyze the situation.
"That letter is not enough. Father has been in business for twenty years, his roots in the court are too deep, relying on just one letter, the Queen will not easily touch him."
"So what to do?"
"More people need to come forward."
He leaned against the back of the chair.
"The words Han Chi Thanh just said in the palace had not yet been finished when they were interrupted by a holy decree. If he is willing to testify for us, the weight will not be the same."
"What does he rely on to help you?"
Dich smiled softly.
"Based on the fact that he knelt in front of the sacred hall for three days."
"Do you really see that as a card?"
"The human heart depends on how it is used."
That night, Han Chi Thanh delivered an envelope to the heavenly palace. Thuy Binh quietly transferred it to her sister. There is only one in the letter text line.
"What do you want me to do?"
After reading it, the sister folded the envelope.
"The person Han Chi Thanh has kept the rules all his life, but now he is willing to break the rules for his sister."
She looked out the window.
"Unfortunately it's too late."
"Aren't you going to pay attention to him?"
"Wait until this matter is resolved before talking."
She tore a piece of paper.
"The most important thing right now is to find father's second weakness. Just relying on secret letters is not enough, we must find evidence that he has been embezzling money all these years."
"Are there any clues on your business route?"
Dich picked up a pen and wrote a piece of paper.
"Bao Thuy Binh put this out. Within three days, the three silver exchange shops in your name will simultaneously prepare a series of records."
"In there is money that my father has laundered through underground routes over the years. He thought he used a fake name so that others wouldn't find out, but the cashier of the money exchange shop directly handled that money, and it's good that he's yours."
I took in a cold breath.
"Did you already grasp the evidence that he laundered money?"
"It was two years ago."
"Then why don't you—"
"Because he is your father."
Dich put down her pen.
"But now that he has pressured you to this point, it's not that you don't give him face, it's that he doesn't need it."
