Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — No Longer Waiting For Someone To Remember Me
“Cook rice.” Her smile stiffened. “Isn't it already cooked in the house?” I looked at the dining table. “You two, eat.” Tran Hao frowned. “Manh Tinh, it's just right.” I carried the small pot into the kitchen. “I told you, whoever eats pays, whoever cooks eats.” Liu Que Phan followed to the kitchen door. “Are you calling my cooked rice dirty?” I opened the closet, looking for an empty spot. "Not." She asked urgently: "So what do you mean?" I put the small pot inside. “I don't want to continue entrusting my meals to people who might forget me.” The kitchen door was silent for a moment. Tran Hao walked in, his voice low. “Mom has done it this far, what else do you want?” I turned around to look at him. “What do you want? Have you two asked in these past few days?” He couldn't say anything for a moment. Liu Que Phan's eyes turned red again. “I see, you are the vindictive person.” I nodded. “Yes, I remember it very clearly.” “Every day I don't have my food, every day I take money from the joint account, every day I call my relatives to advise me to understand, I remember.” Tran Hao's face was unsightly. “Do I have to calculate like that?” I said: “Don't you two like to save money?” “I'm also frugal.” “From today, I will not spend another penny to buy your two faces.” The bowl of soup in the living room was still steaming. Liu Que Phan suddenly turned around, picked up the bowl of soup on the table and walked into the kitchen. Tran Hao called: "Mom!" But it's late. She placed the bowl of soup firmly next to my newly purchased pot. The soup shot out, burning the back of my hand. She cried and said: "Okay, if you live your own life, don't use the kitchen in this house!" I lowered my head and watched the skin on the back of my hand quickly turn red. Then he raised his head and looked at Tran Hao. “Have you seen it?” Tran Hao's lips moved. Before he could speak, the doorbell suddenly rang. 08 The doorbell rang loudly. One sound after another, as if the people outside had absolutely no intention of waiting. Tran Hao's face changed, he turned around to open the door. As soon as the door opened, my aunt's voice cut in first. “Hao Hao, how is your mother?” I stood in the kitchen door, the back of my hand still burning. There's not just one person outside. The aunt carried a bag of fruit. He followed behind, his two cousins also came. As soon as a few people entered, the small living room became crowded. As soon as Liu Que Phan saw them, tears immediately fell. “What are you doing here?” The aunt put the fruit on the tea table and supported her. “You cry so much in the group, can we not come?” Tran Hao frowned even more. He looked at me, as if blaming me for causing such a fuss. I looked straight into his eyes, not moving. The aunt quickly saw three sets of bowls and chopsticks on the table. Then I saw the rice and the small pot I bought to put in the kitchen. Her expression was a bit complicated. “Tinh Tinh, what is this for?” I said: "I'm about to cook myself." A cousin whispered: "Sister-in-law, there are elderly people in the house and separate kitchens, it looks very unsightly." I asked back: "There is a daughter-in-law in the house but there is no daughter-in-law's rice, does it look beautiful?" She immediately shut her mouth. He coughed, wanting to act like an adult. "It's okay to say everything clearly. Don't move a bit, it's my brother's choice." I took a tissue first
Soak cold water under the faucet and apply it to the back of your hand. “So the money in the joint account, do you plan to compensate for Tran Hao?” His face immediately darkened. “We didn't come to talk about money today.” I said: "But yesterday when everyone advised me to understand things in the group, everyone didn't come to ask me if I was hungry or not." Auntie frowned. “Tinh Tinh, don't talk so harshly.” I nodded. “Then speak a little slower.” “Every month I transfer 5,000 to a joint account.” “I don't have my share of cooking in the house.” “But the money in the account was transferred to mother.” "I suggest dividing the expenses clearly, everyone says I'm too much." "So I want to ask, they forced me to spend money, they didn't give me food, and in the end they forced me to apologize. What are these rules?" No one in the living room immediately responded. Liu Que Phan bowed his head and cried. She cried very moderately. Don't cry loudly, don't make a fuss, just continuously wipe your tears, as if you have endured all the self-pity in the world. Finally, Tran Hao spoke: "No one said not to let me eat." I looked at him. “So tell me, why didn't you have my rice a few days ago?” His face was tense. “Mom really didn't estimate correctly.” I said: "An incorrect estimate is called an incorrect estimate." "If you estimate incorrectly in two days, it's called not paying attention." "If you don't estimate correctly for many days in a row, stop pretending to be confused." The aunt pulled Liu Que Phan's hand. “Que Phan, please say something too.” Liu Que Phan raised his head and looked at me, his eyes red. “Tinh Tinh, I admit that sometimes I feel uncomfortable.” Tran Hao immediately called out: "Mom." She waved her hand, as if she finally couldn't bear it anymore.
