Chapter 9
Chapter 9 — One bite, famous throughout the school
I immediately turned around. Co Dien stood not far from me, holding two cans of beer in her hand. He changed into a clean white shirt and comfortable pants. The moonlight fell on him, making him look strangely gentle. "Why are you..." "I guess you're here." He walked over, sat down next to me, handed me a can of beer. "I don't drink alcohol." "Then take it." He opened a can himself and took a big gulp. We didn't say anything, just sat silently like that. In the distance is a noisy crowd, but our place becomes a small world of its own. After a long time, he slowly spoke up. "I'm leaving tomorrow." My heart felt like it was being squeezed. Even though I had expected it, it was still very unpleasant to hear it with my own ears. “Oh.” I replied softly. "Is there nothing you want to ask?" he turned his head to look at me. What can I ask? Ask where are you going? Ask if we will meet again later? What right do I have to ask? I bowed my head, playing with the can of water in my hand. "Ha Mat." he called my name again. "Yes?" "That day in the office, don't take what Captain Truong said to heart." "He's just a little hot-tempered." I didn't expect him to say this, my heart suddenly warmed. "I know." He was silent again. The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Finally I mustered up the courage to look up at him. "You... why do you treat me like that?" I asked the question that had bothered me for so long. "Why do you target me, why do you tease me, and why are you... so good to me?" Co Dien looked at me, his dark eyes under the moonlight like a bottomless lake. He took a sip of beer, his throat moving slightly. "Maybe..." He trailed off. "Seeing you is very interesting." "Interesting?" This answer made me a bit surprised, and a bit angry. "Yes." He smiled lightly. "Like a furry little stray cat." "Obviously scared to death, but still wanted to raise my claws to scratch someone." My face turned red. "I just didn't!" "Really?" He raised his eyebrows, "So who challenged my authority the first time I met you?" "And who came up with the childish trick of pretending to faint to get revenge on me?" "And..." He pointed to his lower lip. "Who bit me like this?" I was cut off by him, unable to say a single sentence. Turns out… he knew everything from the beginning. He always sees me as a joke. I was so angry that I wanted to hit him. "You!" Looking at my angry appearance, the smile on his lips became deeper. He suddenly reached out and patted my head. His movements were very light, very gentle. "Okay, no more teasing you." He withdrew his hand, took out something from his pocket and gave it to me. That's my student card. I was stunned. "Why is my student card at your place?" "The day I pretended to faint and dropped it." he said softly. Now I remembered, that day when I fell down, it seemed like something slipped out of my pocket. It turns out he found it. So you already knew my name, my department, all my information. I looked at him, with hundreds of mixed emotions in my heart. "Co Dien," I asked softly, "who are you?" He was definitely not just an ordinary coach. He looked at me, the smile in his eyes gradually disappeared, replaced by a seriousness I didn't understand. "Faculty of Physics, second year of graduate school." "Co Dien." I was completely stunned. You… you… You are also a student at this school? Also a graduate student? So you weren't originally a military officer? "So... military training..." "Your family's relationship, being pulled to lend a hand, experiencing life by the way." he explained. I felt like my worldview at this moment completely collapsed. So for the past half month, the evil coach I've been thinking of... is actually my senior? A school principal who has a dark heart and likes to tease? "You..." I pointed at him, "you" didn't know what to say for half a day. He looked at my surprised face and finally couldn't help it.
laughed softly. He leaned closer, his warm breath brushing my ear, his low voice full of magnetism. "Ha Mat, my student." "Military training is over." "Our story..." "Just begun." END
