Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — Phai Nu established the Divine Beast Sect
My mother immediately burst into tears and collapsed to the ground, unable to get up. My father used his strength to lean against the barrier wall, his fingers clenched so tightly that they almost broke. My brother went crazy and used his sword to slash at the barrier, but the barrier was unharmed.
“Let us out!”
My brother screamed with red eyes, but it was completely useless. I lowered my head to smell the scent on him, closed my eyes and listened to the movements. In the distance, the roar of countless spirit beasts rang out. Many spirit beasts are rushing towards this direction, getting closer and closer! My mother was scared and cried loudly.
"It's here! The beast tide is here! We're dead!"
My brother put his sword back, shielding me and my mother behind him, his hands still shaking.
“Father, there is no way to run anymore.”
My father pulled his brother aside and stood in front himself.
“Everyone stands behind me.”
His voice was hoarse. In the next second, the nearby forest was knocked over! A fiery lion rushed out, followed by several other high-level spirit beasts simultaneously appearing. I stood at the back and smelled the sweet smell of animal bait. I can hear the roar of the spirit beasts outside. I patted my brother's shoulder.
“Brother, stay away.”
He turned his head.
“What are you going to do?”
“Go out and talk to them.”
My brother was frantic.
"Are you crazy? There are ferocious beasts outside!"
"Thanh Dao! Go back! Don't go out!"
My mother screamed loudly in panic. My father immediately held my arm tightly.
“Stand still, listen.”
I looked at him.
“Father, please believe me for once.”
"I don't have spiritual roots, I can't deal with spirit beasts!"
I immediately pulled my hand out and passed next to his sword. My mother screamed and wanted to rush forward, but was held back by her brother. My father's hoarse voice called me back, but I did not turn back. I walked in front of the leading fire lion, three steps away from it. It ruffled its mane, breathed fire, roared and said it wanted to bite my neck off. I squatted down and looked straight into its eyes.
“Stop roaring, I understand what you're saying. Your mother has had diarrhea for three days, I'm here to help.”
The fire lion immediately stiffened, the fire on its body weakened, its expression full of doubt.
“Do you understand our animal language?”
"That's right. Your name is Dai Mao, your mother can't even stand right now, right?"
It walked over and smelled me, feeling sorry for me and rubbing my palm with its head. The fire on his body also subsided more than half. There was silence behind. My parents and older brother all looked at me in surprise. I turned my head and smiled.
"His name is Dai Mao. His mother is sick and wants us to help."
I pat Dai Mao's head.
“Take me to see your mother.”
Dai Mao stood up and ran into the forest. I turned around and called my family to follow. His brother immediately stood up, and his parents followed silently. Through the low bushes, I smelled an unpleasant odor. Dai Mao stopped in front of the cave entrance under an old tree, inside there was a female fire lion lying. As soon as it saw us, it immediately growled. Dai Mao quickly said:
“Don't be afraid, Mom, she heard what we said and came to heal you.”
The lioness looked at me. I squatted down and said:
“Don't be afraid, your son came to me. Let me see your belly.”
The lioness hesitated for a few seconds then slowly bowed her head. I just looked at it and diagnosed it with acute enteritis, and the principle of some anti-diarrhea medicines is to use white clay. I told Dai Mao directly:
“Go find it white clay with a strong earthy smell.”
Dai Mao immediately responded and ran away. I turned around and told my family to wait there. My father immediately said:
“Let's go with you.”
The whole family followed Dai Mao to a dry stream. I grabbed a handful of smooth gray-white clay from the bottom of the stream.
“This is it.”
We brought the clay home, ground it into powder, and mixed it with water to form a paste. The female lion was a bit wary, Dai Mao continuously reassured her. Finally, the lioness licked the entire mixture clean. But after a while, it still didn't react. Dai Mao immediately rushed to block the cave entrance.
“You deserve to die, are you lying to me? I will tear you apart!”
At this moment, the lioness spoke up.
“Don't get excited!”
It slowly stood up. Dai Mao excitedly ran around on the spot. The lioness looked at me and said in a low voice:
“Thank you.”
More than ten fiery lions rushed out of the forest. Under the signal of the lioness, they all gathered around and rubbed against each other in turn. The lioness roared softly, and the whole herd immediately looked at me quietly. It uses its head to rub against my palm.
“You saved me. From now on in the secret realm, our entire clan will protect your family's safety."
Dai Mao rubbed my hand.
"If there's anything, just ask."
I saw that there wasn't even a place to shelter from the rain, so I patted its head.
“So you guys go move some wood and stone here, we'll use it to build a house.”
Dai Mao roared, the whole group of lions immediately ran in all four directions. My parents and older brother walked to the side and watched them run away. In less than an hour, Dai Mao took the lead and returned with large logs of wood. Wood, rocks and vines were piled up to half a person high. My father squatted down and touched the logs, speechless for a long time. My singer's voice is a bit shaky.
“Thanh Dao, do they really all listen to you?”
I wiped the dust off my hands.
“Of course, don't look down on your sister.”
