Chapter 1
Chapter 1 — Pink Snake Tail
Luc Minh is a cold and beautiful mermaid. But he rejected my feelings and criticized me for not being of the same species as him. I collapsed: "Why not? Don't they all have a big tail?" He laughed coldly: "Is that the same? I'm a mermaid, and you're a snake." His eyes fell on my pink snake tail - soft, long, swaying forward, wanting to wrap around his body. Luc Minh angrily pushed away: "You must cling to me? It's better to go find your own kind." I felt enlightened. After that, I actually found a snake person as my life partner. One day, I happened to meet Luc Minh again. He stared at me and my new boyfriend, his eyes complicated. I shyly bowed my head: "It's true that being of the same kind is better."01I only learned that I was a snake person when I was an adult. When I was a child, I was seriously injured and huddled on the side of the road, waiting to die, when the owner of the Luc family picked me up. The Lu family, like me, are all beastmen hidden in the human world. Because I lived among the mermaids, for a long time I was convinced that I was also a fish. After all, they all have a long tail. Until one day, homeowner Luc Van told me that he had to go out for a while, so he would let Luc Minh take care of me. "Okay, okay." As soon as I heard that name, my eyes lit up and I quickly nodded. Luc Van smiled: "Is that fun? His personality is not pleasant." Really? I never noticed his personality. Every time I'm either engrossed in looking at that face, or I'm fascinated by that big, beautiful tail. As soon as Luc Van brought me here, I finally got to see him again! In the manor area, under the open lake water. A shimmering streak of blue light fluctuated - Luc Minh was leaning against the lake shore, his fish tail shape was complete and arrogant. The fish's tail whipped up, splashing cold water onto the instep of my feet. "What are you standing there for?" Luc Minh opened his eyes. "Ah!" I fell into the lake with a "bang". No matter how you look at it, it looks like it was intentional, but the pink snake's tail still "frenziedly" wrapped tightly around his waist. "Luc Minh, I'm so scared." He didn't bother to lift his eyes, just dodged half a meter: "It's too sticky, stay away." There is no such thing. Aren't our tails the same– oh, no. Never before compared side by side. Now that I'm out in the sunlight, I realize they're completely different. His scales are as transparent as blue crystal, and under the water, sparkling rays of light are refracted. As for my pink snake's tail, although flexible, it was covered with a rough layer, just like cheap glass beads thrown haphazardly into a pile of pearls. This realization made me a little depressed. But I refused to believe it, I just thought my tail was soaked in water and wrinkled. Touch it, it's still as smooth as before. "Luc Minh, let me touch it." "Touch what?" "Tail." He glanced at me and didn't answer. I pouted, suddenly somewhat agreeing with Luc Van's words. But thinking back, Luc Minh's fish tail had been injured, and it was strange that he liked being touched. That happened the third year I was adopted by the Luc family. That day I went to the beach to play and encountered a storm. Because I was afraid of the cold, I huddled in the rock crevice and trembled. When the tide rose violently, Luc Minh used his tail scales to cover my head, bracing himself in the wind and waves and pulling me back to shore. Therefore, the most beautiful green scales on his tail were torn by the reef, blood flowed all over the area, making me so scared that I cried, the tears flowed endlessly. Luc Van comforted me: "It's okay, it will grow back, even harder." I was skeptical and often secretly touched the area where his tail was injured. If discovered, Luc Minh will push my hand away. I didn't expect that after so long, he still wouldn't let me touch him. But it's okay, I can wait. Coming out of the lake, Luc Minh retracted his fish tail and completely transformed into human form. As for me, I haven't yet. I still don't
the whole tail. "Luc Minh -" I prolonged my voice, my eyes sparkled: "Try to touch it, it's very slippery now." In my eyes, this is a very intimate matter. But he frowned: "Don't cause trouble." "It's okay!" I didn't hide my feelings for him: "Even if we will be together in the future, it's okay to cling to each other a little." "Whoever is with you, we are not of the same species." I was stunned, the snake's tail stiffened in mid-air: "Why not... don't they all have big tails?" "Is that the same thing?" He smiled coldly: "I'm a mermaid, and you're a snake."
