Rising From Crisis

Six months after the trial, Chung Nguyên Group held a mid-year financial report meeting, marking a complete recovery after a turbulent crisis period.

Bách Nguyên stood before the board of directors and shareholders, presenting impressive growth figures - revenue increased by twelve percent over the same period last year, two new strategic cooperation deals were signed with foreign partners, and most importantly, the level of shareholder trust in the management board has been completely restored, even higher than before the crisis occurred.

"We believe that a strong corporation is not one that has never encountered a crisis, but one that knows how to face and overcome crises in a transparent and responsible way," Bách Nguyên told investors. "And I want to emphasize that much of the success in handling the recent crisis came from the silent but extremely important contribution of one person, who spent nearly three years silently observing and collecting evidence, to protect not only his family but also the stability of the entire corporation."

He looked towards Ý Vy, sitting in the special guest row. The entire auditorium applauded, many eyes turned to her with true admiration.

Chung Vĩnh Toàn, Bách Nguyên's father, was also present at the reporting meeting that day, although he had retired to rest a long time ago. He stood up and came to shake Ý Vy's hand after the meeting ended, his voice filled with emotion. "I used to worry when my daughter-in-law came from an orphanage, afraid she wouldn't be brave enough to shoulder the responsibilities in such a large family. Looking back now, I realize how wrong I was when I judged people based on their background, instead of their true abilities and qualities." He squeezed Ý Vy's hand, his eyes were warm and rare. "You saved this entire family, quite literally."

Ý Vy smiled, bowed her head in thanks, her heart filled with a feeling of real recognition, completely different from the superficial, social recognition she had received in the early days of becoming a bride of the Chung family in her previous life.

After the meeting, a number of large investment funds proactively approached, offering to invite Ý Vy to join their strategic advisory board, appreciating her ability to analyze situations, long-term thinking, and the ability to handle crises that she has shown. A reputable business magazine even offered to conduct an in-depth interview about "the art of risk management in family businesses", using her story as a typical case study, although the specific identity was hidden to protect the family's privacy.

Ý Vy, after careful consideration, decided to accept a part-time consulting role for the risk management department of Chung Nguyên Group, combined with the interior design work that she is still passionate about. She didn't want to completely give up her original career, but also realized that the skills and lessons she had accumulated through the recent incident deserved to be used to help others avoid similar situations.

"I think every experience, no matter how painful, can become something valuable if you know how to transform it," she shared with Bách Nguyên in a private evening. "I don't want what I went through to be simply a wound, but I want it to become a lesson, a tool to help others."

Bách Nguyên looked at his wife with eyes full of pride and love. "I always believe that you are the most special woman I have ever met. Not because you are beautiful, not because you are smart, but because of the way you face adversity - always finding a way to turn it into an opportunity to grow, instead of letting it drown you."

In the following months, under the advice of Ý Vy, Chung Nguyên Group built a more comprehensive risk management system, including a strict internal information cross-checking process, a mechanism to protect employees who report wrongdoing, and a clearer set of business ethics rules for all senior personnel. This system was later referenced and applied by many other corporations in the industry, becoming a new standard in the family business world.

Phó Nhật Khang, now serving as regional managing director, often jokes that the group should officially name the new risk management system "Ý Vy shield", recognizing her undeniable contribution in shaping it.

Mr. Son, after the incident, also received special trust from the Chung family, becoming a permanent security advisor for the group, in charge of supervising sensitive issues related to information security and personal safety for senior members.

Bích Ngọc, Ý Vy's closest friend, was also invited to work in Chung Nguyên's customer experience design department, at Ý Vy's own suggestion. The two friends are now not only close in real life but also have the opportunity to build their careers together, often having lunch together, reviewing old stories and laughing about their innocent days at the small interior design company in the past.

Ánh Dương Foundation, under the active contribution of Ý Vy on the advisory council, also expanded significantly, not only stopping at nurturing orphans but also implementing a long-term psychological support program for them, to detect and intervene early on hidden mental injuries - a program that Ý Vy herself proposed, stemming from the painful lesson that she and Tuệ Nghi had to go through.

"If in the past, someone had recognized the hurt in Tuệ Nghi's heart early, perhaps things would not have come to this point," Ý Vy shared in the first meeting of the new program. "We cannot change the past, but we can ensure that present and future children will not have to bear such silent pain alone."

One weekend afternoon, when both husband and wife were relaxing in the living room after a busy week of work, Bách Nguyên suddenly asked Ý Vy: "If you could go back to three years ago, before all this happened, would you wish you had never had to go through all those storms?"

Ý Vy thought for a long moment, then shook her head slightly. "I don't wish for that. There are turbulences that, once passed, help me see the true value of what I have — of sincere love, of trust built through challenges, of myself. Without those difficulties, perhaps I would never understand how precious happiness really is."

Bách Nguyên squeezed his wife's hand, did not say anything more, just let that moment of peace spread in the cozy living room space, where the weekend afternoon sunlight gently penetrated through the window, shining on the faces of the two smiling at each other, without any shadow of the doubts and fears that had haunted them for nearly three years.

That weekend, the couple drove out to the suburbs and visited Ms. Ninh Diễm Thu's grave, located in a quiet cemetery near the orphanage. Ý Vy placed a bouquet of white chrysanthemums on the grave, stood silently next to Bách Nguyên, told him more about her childhood memories that before, because she was busy with investigation and defense, she had never had the opportunity to fully share.

"If it weren't for her, I probably would never have met you," Bách Nguyên said, looking at the simple tombstone. "Thank you for raising such a wonderful woman."

Ý Vy smiled, held her husband's hand tightly, feeling a rare completeness in her heart - not only because the group had overcome the crisis, not only because justice had been served, but because she had found a way to reconcile with her own past, turning the pain into the foundation for a stronger, more meaningful future for both herself and those around her.

On the way back, sunset dyed the sky a warm orange color. Ý Vy leaned her head against the car window, watching the scenery pass by, her heart feeling light as if she had never carried any burden. She knows, there is still much to work on ahead — a marriage to continue to nurture, a career to continue to develop, and maybe, one day, a sisterly relationship that needs to be mended from the broken pieces. But for the first time in a long time, she welcomed that future not with constant vigilance, but with a true belief in the good things ahead.
