Chapter 6
Chapter 6 — Tham Linh
I thought she would respond harshly, but to my surprise, she suddenly knelt down in front of me, her hands clasped together, tears streaming like pear flowers in the rain: "Please, Tham Linh, Ms. Linh, please help Mr. Giang, don't abandon me. Even if he forgets me, as long as he wants me, I will always be by his side." I carefully walked around her, not wanting to get caught up in this: "This is your business with Giang." Tri, why are you looking for me?" But Chau Dao rushed forward, grabbed my dress, refusing to let go. "Now he only remembers you, only recognizes you. If you say just one word, he will listen to you." Chau Dao's voice rang out in the night, loud enough to disturb the neighbors. A few people started opening the door, curiously looking out. When they saw Chau Dao kneeling and crying in front of me, their eyes immediately became complicated and full of scrutiny. They probably started to speculate about our relationship. "Don't be like that anymore, stand up." I didn't want to cause trouble, so I wanted to drag her into the house to talk, but Chau Dao saw that someone was watching and cried even harder. I realized she was trying to make a big deal out of it. When I realized I couldn't take the dress out of her hand, I decided to forcefully tear off the part of the dress that was grabbed, pushing her to the ground. Chau Dao lost her balance and fell backwards. "Tham Linh, aren't you really going to help?" Her voice trembled, mixed with anger. Her eyes were fierce, strange and confusing. I looked at her, my voice calm: "This is between you and Giang Tri, it has nothing to do with me." Chau Dao stood up, clutching her stomach, step by step back towards the emergency stairs. "I'm pregnant with Giang Tri's child. But because of you, he doesn't care about me anymore. I just need you to say a word for help, but you still refuse." "Chau Dao, everyone has to pay for what they have done." I looked at her, only saw above. Her face suddenly twisted with resentment. “In that case, you will go to hell with me!” She suddenly rushed forward, grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the stairs. I tried to snatch my hand back, pulling it in the opposite direction. At that moment, a neighbor ran to help me pull it back. Chau Dao suddenly showed a strange smile. In an instant, I realized that half of her body was floating on the stairs. "Don't! Chau Dao!" I screamed in horror, but it was too late. I didn't have time to hold onto Chau Dao's released hand. I could only watch in horror as she rolled down the stairs. Blood flowed from under her dress, forming a dark red puddle. When Giang Tri rushed over, the child in Chau Dao's womb was no longer there. She lay in the hospital, hugged Giang Tri and cried, accusing me of killing her child. Luckily, my best friend and I had a video call, which recorded the entire incident, and even the neighbor who ran to help me was also willing to testify. It was Chau Dao who let go of her hand and fell down. After completing the report at the police station, Giang Tri chased after me. "Sorry, Tham Linh, I didn't know she was going to look for you." I closed my eyes, tired: "Giang Tri, we also had a child. When he passed away, you also said 'don't know'." I quickly put that memory away, looking at his wide-open eyes, empty and lifeless. "You just said 'don't know', and then pretended everything never happened." "I never take responsibility. Sometimes I really envy you, being able to live the life of a bad person so calmly." Giang Tri's whole body stiffened, then as if all his energy was drained, he collapsed to the ground. I didn't bother looking back, I turned and walked away. The night wind carries dry leaves on the ground, carrying them far away. This tragicomedy, for me at least, has come to an end.
A few months later, I achieved my wish, passing the master's program at the university of my dreams. My best friend flew to my city to visit. During the meal, she kept glancing at me, as if she wanted to say something but was shy. I swallowed a large piece of lasagna, then used my finger to gently tap her forehead: "If you have anything to say, secretly like that, are you dating a thief?" She smiled widely and said: "I'm afraid you won't like to hear it." "Then don't say it." My best friend was stunned for a moment, then quickly hugged my arm and cooed: "Aiya, it would be very uncomfortable if I didn't say it!" I had to give in to her: "Is that a thing?" Giang Tri's?" My best friend was startled, nodded repeatedly: "You know?" "I don't know, but looking at the way you were tense and excited, I guessed." She cleared her throat, then with an emotional expression, told me the story about Giang Tri and Chau Dao. In short, one person died, one person became disabled. The child in Chau Dao's womb is not Giang Tri's. After Giang Tri lost his memory, Chau Dao feared he would never remember her, so she hooked up with a tycoon at the bar. But that tycoon is actually just a scoundrel pretending to be an impersonator. When he learned that Chau Dao fell and lost his child, he thought it was an accident so he went to the hospital to visit her to comfort her. At the hospital, he accidentally heard Chau Dao use her child to force Giang Tri to marry her, and affirmed that he only loved Giang Tri and had never loved anyone else. The scoundrel was angry and had the intention of revenge. He ambushed her and when Chau Dao was discharged from the hospital, he drove his car and hit her. Giang Tri quickly pushed Chau Dao away, but he still refused to give up, turned the car around and stepped on the accelerator with all his might, sending Chau Dao flying into the air. Chau Dao died on the spot, while Giang Tri was paralyzed on half of his body. After my best friend finished telling me, looking at me still calmly, without any expression, he raised his hand and waved in front of me: "Is that all your reaction?" "So what should I react?" I took a sip of cola, then without hesitation burped. "Can you at least applaud? With so much hatred, there is finally a reward." I smiled, raised my hand to call the waiter: "Give me 5 more servings of lasagna." Best friend. stared at me, with a puzzled look on his face: "Aren't you going to celebrate? Your revenge is over!" I shrugged: "You have to eat a lot of your favorite dishes to celebrate!" My best friend woke up, holding a glass with me: "Yes, we have to eat, we have to celebrate." "Hey, it seems Giang Tri has remembered, asking people everywhere to find out your new number." I almost bit my tongue. "Bad luck!" The piece of heart in my mouth suddenly wasn't as delicious as it was at first. "But don't worry, Luc Tuan already knows the weakness of his company, so Giang Tri is obedient." "Sisters, how can you scare people when you talk like that?" I sighed. "Okay, so what about you and Luc Tuan?" "I don't have any steps with him." "No way! Are you bitten by a snake once and then afraid of love for ten years?" "Eat? If you don't eat then it's gone, don't miss the fact that I'm buying things and preparing to declare. lecture." Stepping out of the restaurant, I looked up at the bright golden sky, looked at the green trees on both sides of the stairs, and smiled softly. The future is limitless, so why be afraid of being alone all your life? Run out of
