Chapter 2 — The Crown Prince criticized me for having thick skin and rough meat, and devised a plan to push me to his royal uncle

There were also no welcoming ceremonies. What appeared before my eyes was just a long sword still dripping with drops of blood. That cold sword pointed straight at my throat. The other person spoke in a low voice, carrying a strong smell of blood:

"That trash Tieu Hang, bringing a woman here and having to be so sneaky?"

I raised my head, even though my eyes were obscured by the red veil, I could still clearly feel the sharp cold air coming from the tip of the sword. But we don't avoid it. I raised my hand and lifted the veil myself. Four eyes looked at each other. A trace of surprise flashed in Tieu Giac's long, narrow phoenix eyes. He retracted his sword, the corner of his lips curled up as if smiling, looking at me intently:

“Little girl from the Tham family?”

“Why you?”

I raised my hand to adjust the hem of my wedding dress and calmly looked at him:

"His Royal Highness the Crown Prince criticized me for having thick skin and rough meat, afraid that I would ruin his fragile and weak heart."

“That's why he specially brought me here, so that the royal uncle can relax.”

Tieu Giac was stunned for a moment, then burst out laughing. That laughter did not carry the scary violence as rumored. On the contrary, there is still some hidden interest and contemplation.

“Relax?”

He bent down, the blood-stained tip of the sword gently lifted my chin, his warm breath gently tickled my ear:

“In this king's place, only the dead can entertain him.”

“Aren't you afraid?”

I met his gaze, the corners of my lips slowly curved into a sarcastic smile:

“There's nothing scary about dead people.”

“Those who are still alive, plotting against each other all day long, are truly nauseating.”

Tieu Giac stared at me for a long time. The killing intent in his eyes gradually disappeared little by little. He conveniently threw the sword to the guard behind him, then turned around and sat down on a basket filled with red apples and the joys of life and death.

“Get rid of all this messy stuff.”

He spoke up, his tone so natural that it was as if we were a couple who had lived together for many years. I'm not polite either. With a slight flick of the sleeve, the dried fruit that signified the birth of a noble child was immediately swept to the ground. Tieu Giac raised his eyebrows:

“Not bad skills.”

“The father teaches strictly.”

I replied leisurely. At that moment, the butler's voice came from outside the door, with some anxiety and panic in his words:

"Your Highness, the Crown Prince's side just sent someone to ask, saying... said that it seemed like the palanquin was delivered to the wrong person, wanting to ask if the Royal Family had seen the Crown Princess or not."

In my heart, I laughed coldly. Tieu Hang really acted very well. Just wanted to do dirty things. I also want to keep my reputation clean. The so-called being a prostitute and also wanting to build a temple of chastity, that's all. Tieu Giac didn't even bother to look outside the door once. He lazily leaned back, leaning against the head of the bed:

“Tell them.”

"There is no Crown Princess at this king's place."

“Only the Princess has just passed through this king's door.”

There was silence outside for a moment. Immediately afterwards, a series of footsteps were heard hurriedly leaving. I look towards Tieu Giac:

“What does the king mean?”

"Since it's been sent, there's no reason to return it."

I don't know when Tieu Giac took out a jar of wine. He raised his head and took a large sip.

“Besides, this king also really wants to see it.”

"Tomorrow in the main hall, when Tieu Hang sees that the person standing next to this king is you, what expression will he have?"

He brought a cup of wine in front of me:

“Drink?”

I received the cup of wine. Tilt your head back and drink in one gulp. The stinging strong drink flowed down my throat, choking so much that my eye sockets turned slightly red. But it also burns away all the resentment in my heart, making me feel extremely happy.

“Tham Ninh, don't you want revenge?”

Tieu Giac approached, his eyes flashing dangerously. I replied without any evasion.

“Then stay.”

Tieu Giac raised his hand and gently pulled the gold needle out of my hair.

“Be my king's concubine.”

“This king will teach you how to make him live worse than die.”

That night, there were no bright red candles in the Regent Palace. Nor are there any lovely spring scenes.
