Chapter 2
Chapter 2 — The Crown Prince's Xa Te
We must run. Right away. Before they discovered this tattered cave. That night, I ran away. Using the fastest speed, rush straight into the deep cave labyrinth of the snake tribe. Finding the most hidden corner, I hide my body tightly there. Even breathing is trying to be lighter. Surrounded by familiar darkness and the smell of earth. I feel a little more secure. They couldn't find me. No matter how strong the dragon clan is, they wouldn't bother going into such a vile, dirty cave. We're safe. I told myself that, my tension gradually relaxed. Fatigue comes, we curl up and fall asleep. I don't know how long I can sleep. I was awakened by an irresistible force. A cold hand squeezed my seven inches. Without any difficulty, pull me out of my hiding place. I widened my eyes in horror. Bursting into view were a pair of golden pupils still sparkling in the darkness. There was no longer anger inside like during the day, only the endless coldness remained. The Dragon Clan Crown Prince looked at me, the corner of his lips curved into a cold smile. "Since when are you allowed to run away?" My heart seemed to stop beating. The whole body's blood froze. How did he find his way here? How could he lower himself into the filth of the snake race? Fear is as cold as a poisonous snake wrapping around our hearts, even scarier than hunger. His fingers gently squeezed the seven-inch spot, not painful, but filled with absolute menace. I was so scared that I couldn't even make a "hiss" sound. "Vile snake," he repeated, his voice unclear with emotion, "your courage is not small." He gently lifted me off the ground. Through the intricate maze of the snake den, the light outside hurt my eyes. Outside the cave, countless silver-armored guards prostrated themselves, not daring to breathe loudly. Their crown prince, was carrying a fat, gray, vile snake in his hand. That scene must have been extremely strange. Not a single snake dared to show its face. The entire snake territory was dead silent. I closed my eyes in despair. Done. I have brought on the disaster of destroying the clan. He carried me up into the air. The speed was incredibly fast, the wind whistling in my ears. I opened my eyes and peeked. Below, the mountains and forests and the snake tribe's territory gradually became smaller. Then through the clouds, before our eyes appeared a magnificent palace complex, with glass tiled roofs shining in seven colors under the sun. The circling fairy energy is a scene I have never dared to imagine. This is the Heavenly Palace. Where the dragon clan resides. He took me straight to a sparkling transparent palace, built entirely of glass, with light flowing in. The electric door quietly opened. The inside is spacious and bright, decorated with luxurious elegance, and the floor is covered with soft rattan carpet. The air was filled with a cold scent similar to the smell on his body. He threw me onto the cloud carpet. The movements weren't exactly rough, but my plump body still jumped a bit. I was limp on the incredibly soft carpet of clouds, afraid to move. He stood high and looked down. Delicate golden eyes observed each rough scale on his body. I shrink back, trying to reduce my presence. “Raise your head.” He ordered. I trembled and slowly raised my head. His eyes were very complicated, both probing and still a bit angry, mixed with something I couldn't understand... as if he was searching. "Being this fat," he suddenly said, his voice calm, "how come I can't catch the prey?" I bowed my head in shame. Being a snake and being fat enough to starve to death is truly disgraceful. "Why did you attack me?" he asked. I spoke like a mosquito: "... I'm about to starve to death... You... you smell very strong... there must be food..." What I said is all true. He was silent for a moment. "Truly not lying," he snorted softly, "stupid yet honest." I don't know
Whether it's praise or criticism, I don't dare to speak up. He took two steps closer. I stepped back in fear. But he just raised his hand and gently placed it on my scales. His fingers were a bit cold, touching me made me tremble like I was burned. "Don't move." His voice lowered.
