Chapter 5
Chapter 5 — The day my Fiance asked me to marry both Sisters, I became Princess So
My mother stood under the eaves, clutching a handkerchief in her hand, coldly looking at everything, without a trace of expression on her face. Tham Uyen Thanh was knocked unconscious once, then was woken up by a bucket of cold water, then continued to kneel in front of the main hall door. My father threw down his rattan whip, pointed it straight at her nose and scolded her for half an hour, and finally threw back a sentence:
"The dowry must be prepared according to the lowest portion of the concubine. Three days later, carry it to the Tieu family's palace. Don't stay in the palace and annoy me anymore!"
Tham Uyen Thanh lay on the ground, not even having the strength to cry anymore. I looked at her, then turned and returned to my hospital. Early the next morning, Tham Uyen Thanh came. She changed into a simple old white outfit and walked with a limp. She stood in front of my courtyard gate, calling in a low voice: I won't let you enter.
“If you have something to say, say it here.”
Her lips trembled twice, tears falling.
“Sister, the dowry that father prepared for you... is not even as good as the dignity of a maid... Only a few pieces of rough cloth, a pair of silver bracelets... Sister... what do you know to get the price..."
“A concubine's part is just like that.”
I look at her.
“If you see too little, go find your father and tell him.”
She was stunned for a moment, tears falling even harder. She reached out to pull my sleeve, but I leaned away. At that moment, footsteps were heard outside the hospital. A man dressed as a guard holding a carved wooden box walked in and clasped his hands at me:
“Miss Shen, His Highness King So sent his subordinates to bring a gift, saying it was for you... to enjoy.”
The wooden box was placed on the stone table and opened. Inside is a complete set of white jade jewelry, brooches, jade bracelets, jade brooches, and jade pendants, all complete. The jade is gentle and transparent, radiating a gentle light under the sunlight. At first glance, you know it is a treasure worth thousands of gold. Tham Uyen Thanh's eyes immediately lit up. She stared at that set of jade jewelry, gulped slightly, and her hand involuntarily reached out— A crisp sound. To Van, my good friend, I don't know when he arrived. She shook off Tham Uyen Thanh's hand and slapped her hard on the face.
“You shameless thing!”
To Van stood in front of me and pointed straight at Tham Uyen Thanh's nose:
"You dare to touch your sister's things? Robbing a man is not enough, now you even want to rob his belongings?"
Tham Uyen Thanh covered her face, was slapped so much that she staggered back two steps, tears welling up again. She hugged her face and looked at me, her lips trembling:
“Sister... I... I just want to take a look... I don't intend to marry..."
I said nothing. Seeing that I didn't speak, she moved half a step forward and knelt down in front of me with a thud.
“Sister... please help me... I know I'm wrong... But father ignores me..."
"If you marry there and have nothing, the people in the Tieu family will look down on you... Sister, please help me, tell father, tell him to give me a little more dowry..."
She looked up at me, her eyes filled with tears, just like her previous life. In her previous life, she also knelt before me like that, crying and saying:
“Sister, don't blame the General.”
Then, as soon as he turned his head away, he stepped on me and climbed to the position of the person Tieu Dien cherished at the top of his heart. I bow my head Look at her, look for a long time.
“Uyen Thanh, why do you think I will be your boss?”
She was stunned. Tears fell on his chin, the expression on his face stiffened little by little.
"How many times have I been your boss before? Whatever you like, I give it to you. When you are bullied by others, I always stand up to help you. So what?"
Her lips began to tremble.
“Then I climbed into Tieu Dien's bed.”
Tham Uyen Thanh's pupils shrank sharply, her whole body stiffened.
“Do you think I will continue to be your boss?”
Her lips moved slightly, her throat only made a few broken sounds, not a word could be said. I slowly conclude:
"Go back and prepare your dowry. In three days, the Tieu family will come to pick you up, don't miss the auspicious moment."
Tham Uyen Thanh was still kneeling there, looking up at me, tears silently streaming down her face. She finally understood. The previous sister, the one who always gave in to her in everything... was no longer there. After that, it will never happen again.
