Chapter 11 — The Dignity of a Signature

He immediately sat up straight.

“Lam Ha, tell me.”

“Seventy percent of Tham Thi's core customers are because of your cooperation.”

“Do you think you can take away a company with just a few blueprints?”

"For works created on the company's platform, the right to sign belongs to the company..."

“Signing rights belong to the creator.”

I interrupted him.

“I know better than you about this.”

“Teacher Phuong has already contacted the legal department of the Design Association.”

“You don't have to worry about the things after that.”

The blood on Tham Hao's face immediately drained away. I looked at him through the screen.

“Tham Thi's customers came to you…”

“…because every time you present a project, you always take my plan and talk about it.”

“What are you going to say later?”

“Using Hua Tu Tu's margin editing?”

Tham Hao stared at the screen. Mouth opens and closes. It's like wanting to curse someone but not being able to find the right sentence. I hung up. Then drag his number straight to the block list. Putting the phone down, I looked out the window. The hotel is located in the east of the city, outside is a row of office buildings. In the middle of the night there were still a few windows with lights on. There must still be people working overtime. I sat still for a while. Then open the laptop, create a new folder. The folder name is:

“Studio Lam Ha.”

At seven o'clock the next morning, my phone vibrated, waking me up. Not Tham Hao. It's Ha Minh Chau. I hesitated for two seconds then picked up the phone.

“Lam Ha, what good thing did you do last night?”

Ha Minh Chau's voice was as high-pitched as a knife scratching on glass.

“Tham Hao was so angry with you that he couldn't sleep all night!”

“The company is in complete chaos now!”

“Do you know that this morning three customers called to cancel their contracts?”

“If you knew that, why would you still do that?”

Her volume immediately became higher.

“Lin Ha, I'll tell you.”

"That year, Tham Hao agreed to marry you, it was your blessing!"

“You're just a drawing girl, what do you have?”

“If it weren't for Tham Hao to give you the foundation, your designs wouldn't be worth a dime!”

“Lady Xia.”

I calmly said:

“I don't want to argue with you.”

“The divorce agreement my lawyer is preparing.”

“The conditions are very simple.”

“The works that belong to me will be returned to me.”

“I don't need the rest.”

“What do you mean?”

Her voice suddenly became sharper.

“Are you going to leave empty-handed?”

“So what do you seek?”

“I pursue myself.”

I hung up the phone. After washing my face and changing clothes, I walked down the hotel lobby and someone called my name. I turned my head and saw a somewhat familiar face. She is a woman over thirty years old, with short hair and wearing a gray trench coat. On his shoulder was an old canvas bag, with a laptop stuffed inside.

“Zhang Qi, Huacheng Daily.”

She quickly walked over and took out her business card and gave it to me.

“Give me five minutes.”

“I only asked three questions.”

“How did you know I was here?”

“Follow your car.”

Truong Ky answered extremely frankly.

“Don't be angry, I sat guard in the hotel lobby all night.”

I looked at her slightly red eyes and somewhat messy hair, suddenly feeling that this person was very sincere.

“Just three sentences.”

“First sentence.”

“‘Quy Khu’ is completely your independent work?”

“One hundred percent.”

“Second sentence.”

“The marital relationship between you and Tham Hao is Real?"

“We registered our marriage four years ago.”

“Secret marriage, no wedding ceremony.”

“Last sentence.”

Truong Ky stared at me.

“What are you going to do next?”

I thought for a few seconds.

“Take back what belongs to me.”

Truong Ky immediately wrote down in the small notebook in his hand, then nodded at me.

“Thank you.”

“Before the article is published, I will send you a preview.”

After speaking, she turned around and left, the old canvas bag on her shoulder swaying with each step. I stood in front of the hotel door and called a car to the lawyer's office. On the way, the phone rang. It's Tieu Tran from the design department. He lowered his voice very low, as if afraid of being heard by others.

“This morning, Mr. Tham pulled the entire design department into a group chat, then sent a very long paragraph.”

“It's almost like what you said last night was intentionally creating a scandal.”

“He also said that your signature appeared in the file because you stole the company's collaboration account…”

“Who did he send it to?”

“In a large group of the company.”

“More than two hundred people saw it.”

“Send me a screenshot.”

A minute later, the photo was sent. Tham Hao's speech was very long. Use all professional words and a tone full of dignity and righteousness. The main idea is only one: Lam Ha took advantage of his position to steal the company's design results, and then deliberately acted as a "victim" at the awards ceremony to gain public sympathy. The last sentence clearly states:

“The design inspector reserves the right to pursue legal liability.”

I finished reading, took a screenshot and forwarded it to Truong Ky. Accompanied by a sentence:

“Add new material.”

Chuong Ky replied almost immediately:
