Chapter 10 — The Dream of a Herbal Milk Tea Chain and the Ultimate Battle of Minds

The day Nhi was about to let go, a stranger placed evidence on the table that could not be ignored. Nhi does not rush to conclusions. People who are familiar with the smell of lemongrass leaves, old wooden counters and the story of market sellers understand that a small sign can be the consequence of a series of wrong choices. Nhi placed the green notebook next to the notebook, circled the unusual point and reminded herself to keep her promise of health while expanding the chain.

Chapter 10 revolves around the chain specifying limits. Nhi divides the work into parts that can be checked: who goes where, what samples to take, who to notify and where to stop if there is a risk. Lam records each timeline into the retrieval system; they do not allow vague memories to replace data. Toan can say the project only needs a boost, but at the tea shop next to Dong Ba market, a wrong decision often costs many years.

By afternoon, a new detail appeared: the chain clearly stating the limit. It forced Nhi to look back at her motives. They were so focused on winning Toan that they forgot their original goal of protecting their health promise while expanding the chain. Lam just asked: "If you win but everyone still loses what they need, what kind of win do you call that?"

A copy was sent unexpectedly. It showed that Toan did not act alone and that the series of restrictions was just the outer layer of a longer plan. Nhi compared the signature, file creation time and description. Each piece was small, but when placed next to the others it pointed to a door that no one dared to open before.

Nhi returned with the map and on-the-spot testimony, this time with another person to avoid one voice deciding everything. They compared the smell of lemongrass left, the old wooden counter and the story of the market seller with the previous day's data, asked the person who witnessed the chain to clearly state the limit and write down the unknown part. The method was slower than a statement, but each step left a trace for later inspection. When Lam said he was tired, Nhi put away the documents, poured water and reminded: "You can rest, but don't skip the question."
