Chapter 7
Chapter 7 — The Final Nod
No one answered. The chief accountant continued to project the Proposal for risk handling plan on the screen. People with personal relationships. One-time compensation to buy out. Shouldn't appear. Three lines of text appear on the white wall. It's colder than any scolding. The Chairman turned to Hua Man.
"Director Hua."
"In your eyes..."
"The person in charge of the company's largest customer is a 'risk'?"
Hua Man still wants to explain.
"I only stand from the perspective of building a capital raising story..."
The Chairman immediately interrupted.
"Building a capital raising story..."
"To the point that even the company's revenue source was erased by her."
"Very professional indeed."
Some people in the meeting room couldn't help but laugh. But I quickly tried to suppress it. The chief accountant continued to say:
"Three years ago, the company didn't have enough money to pay salaries."
"The person sending the money is Lam Tri Ha."
"I still keep all the transfer documents."
"The first contract with An Hop..."
"The person directly in charge is also her."
Chu Khai Minh's voice was hoarse.
"That's all in the past."
The Chairman smiled coldly.
"What happened in the past?"
"It's those 'past stories' that make investors withdraw."
"Causing customers to stop renewing."
"Caused the entire company chat group to explode."
"So you tell me..."
"In the end, who has supported Khai Minh Tech until today?"
The recording stops there. A few minutes later. The chief accountant sent me another message.
"Miss Lam, I know it's too late to say anything now."
"Before, we all thought you and General Chu were family."
"There are many things that don't need to be said too clearly."
"It wasn't until today that I understood..."
"If you don't say it clearly..."
"The only person who suffers is me."
I answered her.
"It's not too late."
Then I put the phone down. Continue to arrange the cooperation documents that An Hop just sent. In the Company Name line... Still left blank. The General King told me:
"General Lam."
"If you start a new company..."
"An Hop will be the first customer to sign the contract."
I haven't thought of a company name yet. Pick up your pencil. Write some names. Then cross them out one by one. Finally... I just used the pen to circle a box on the paper. In that box, write two words. Founder. Three days later. The second capital call was held again. It's still the same meeting room. It's still the same display screen. There's just one other point. On the PowerPoint my name finally appeared. Co-founder – Lam Tri Ha. My photo is placed very large. Even bigger than Hua Man's photo. As if in just three short days... They finally learned how to respect others. When I entered the meeting room. Chu Khai Minh immediately stood up.
"Tri Ha is here."
His voice was so gentle it was strange. Hua Man sat in a corner of the room. Don't look at me once. Her position was moved from the main meeting table, to the audience seats. Chu Khai Minh pulled out the chair next to him.
"Sit here."
Three days ago... It was Hua Man who sat in that position. I don't sit. I went straight to the chair opposite Tham Nghien and calmly sat down. An embarrassed look flashed across Chu Khai Minh's face. But he quickly hid it. Tham Nghien said:
"Miss Lam, can you confirm this investment today?"
Chu Khai Minh quickly robbed word.
"We've been communicating internally."
"Lam Tri Ha is the co-founder of Khai Minh Tech."
"The share distribution will also be fully supplemented later."
Having finished speaking, he looked at me. There was even a hint of ingratiation in his eyes. I put the file bag on the table. Chu Khai Minh thought it was an investment confirmation so he immediately reached out to take it. I keep it.
"Not to give it to you."
First document. I gave it to Tham Nghien.
"This is the declaration."
"From today, I will no longer stand as a guarantor or use my personal reputation to vouch for any of Khai Minh Tech's customers."
Chu Khai Minh's face immediately stiffened. Second document. I placed it in the middle of the meeting table.
"This is a letter of intent for cooperation between An Hop Group and my new company."
In the meeting room, there was immediately the sound of soft discussions. Zhou Kaiming jumped up.
"Lam Tri Ha!"
"What do you mean?"
I don't answer. Right at that moment. The big screen suddenly lit up. Tham Nghien's assistant connects the video call. The General King appears on the screen. Next to him is a letter of intent to cooperate that has been stamped in red.
