Chapter 18
Chapter 18 — The Marriage Certificate had the wrong name, I canceled the entire wedding
Wen Ning immediately raised his glass.
“Congratulations General Director Lam.”
Just as I was about to clink my glass, there was an argument outside the door. Tong Tri Ha is standing outside. She has lost a lot of weight and her clothes are no longer branded. Next to her is Ha Tu Hanh. Ha Tu Hanh is much quieter than before. The staff at the door is stopping them. Tong Tri Ha shouted:
“Lin Thanh Duong, I have something to say!”
Ta Nhan frowned.
“Why is she still coming here?”
I put the glass down.
“Let her in.”
Tong Tri Ha entered the hall, first saw the guests sitting inside, then saw Ta Lam Chu standing next to me. She smiled bitterly.
“Now you have it all.”
“Are you still missing an apology from me?”
“I am not lacking.”
“But you still owe.”
Her face turned white. Ha Tu Hanh said softly:
“Tri Ha, when you're done talking, let's go.”
Tong Tri Ha looked at him.
“You brought me here today, didn't you just want to force me to bow my head?”
Ha Tu Hanh says:
“It was you who said you wanted to solve the last problem.”
Tong Tri Ha suddenly burst out laughing.
“The last thing?”
She took out an old notebook from her pocket.
“Ha Tu Hanh, do you think I'm the only one wrong?”
"That year you imitated Ta Lam Chu to approach Lam Thanh Duong. You told me to investigate her interests."
Ha Tu Hanh's face immediately changed. All the guests looked over. Tong Tri Ha threw the notebook on the table.
“What kind of flowers does she like, what kind of tea does she drink, what is she afraid of, and who does she miss in her heart?”
“It's all under my investigation.”
“The two of you, one pretending to be in love, one pretending to be innocent.”
I looked at Ha Tu Hanh. He bowed his head.
“Thanh Duong, sorry.”
“Is there anything else?”
Ha Tu Hanh was silent for a long time.
“Not anymore.”
Tong Tri Ha immediately shouted:
"That year I pursued you because the Ha family wanted to rely on the Lam family."
Ha Vien Thanh walked in through the door, his face extremely ugly.
“Tong Tri Ha, shut up!”
But he arrived too late. Everyone heard it. Ha Tu Hanh stood in place, finally losing all his dignity. I looked at him.
“So five years ago, it was all a trap from the start.”
Ha Tu Hanh shook his head.
“Then I really loved you.”
“Don't use the word 'then'.”
“It cannot erase the calculations from the beginning.”
The whole hall was silent. Tong Tri Ha originally wanted to pull Ha Tu Hanh into the water. But she didn't win anything either. Ta Nhan looked at the two of them and calmly said:
“A greedy person, a stupid person.”
“It's truly a perfect match.”
Ha Tu Hanh did not object. Tong Tri Ha wanted to laugh but ended up crying. She finally pulled everyone into the water. At the same time, he personally crushed his own last retreat. After the family party ended, Ha Tu Hanh stood downstairs waiting for me. Ta Lam Chu came with me. Seeing him, Ha Tu Hanh smiled bitterly.
“I just said a few words.”
Ta Lam Chu looked at me. I nodded. Ha Tu Hanh says:
“The Thanh Bac project is gone.”
“Dad moved me out of the core department.”
“Now that the Ha family's relatives meet me, everyone only talks about the wedding that day.”
“This was not caused by me.”
Ha Tu Hanh nodded.
"I know."
He looked at me, his eyes red.
“Thanh Duong, what I owe you is more than just an apology.”
“But it seems like now I That's all there is left to say.”
I don't answer. He went on to say:
“Tong Tri Ha has left Nam Thanh.”
“Her mother took her back to her hometown, and the Xia family won't care about her anymore.”
“The friends she used to rely on no longer answer the phone.”
“It was a path she chose herself.”
Ha Tu Hanh said softly:
“Me too.”
He took out a torn piece of the engagement agreement from his shirt. That was half of the engagement contract that I tore up that day. Above is still visible the name that has been crossed out.
“I kept this for a year.”
“Now give it back to me.”
I don't accept. Ta Lam Chu reached out to accept it for me, directly tore it into smaller pieces and threw it into the cardboard box next to it. Ha Tu Hanh was stunned. Ta Lam Chu says:
"She doesn't need old things, there's no need to give them to her."
Ha Tu Hanh looked at me. I don't object. Finally he nodded.
“I wish you happiness.”
He turned and left. After taking a few steps, he stopped again.
"Thanh Duong, if I had written your name correctly on the engagement contract that day, would things have been different?"
I looked at him.
“Because in your heart, you have long put me in the wrong position.”
Ha Tu Hanh's back paused and continued to leave.
